Have you ever had people close to you substantially discourage you or persistently try to crush your dreams, and aspirations? If so, how did it feel and why do you think they did that to you?
The entire time I was growing up, I was told I "Had to understand" when my brothers would take something of mine and destroy it or use it in such a way that I was unable to use it later, when they would steal from me, then laugh when I found out, or simply ruin something out of spite. In the end, I found out they (Both parents) were Appeasing my brothers, because they were Abusing them, both mentally and physically. It's sickening, and by doing that they made life worse for all of us, enabling theft, destruction and disavowal for any responsibility. It resulted in 1 brother's death, another's complete dependency on others as well as drugs and alcohol, and me getting Out, into the service, where I thrived, saved lives and learned to do things I never would have otherwise-and married my best friend and had 3 beautiful daughters. Sadly, neither parent ever learned from that, and with the death of my father, mom is now alone, being both neglected AND abused mentally and physically by the Drunk Druggie. I will always remember her "headache rages" where she would beat me, or sometimes me And my brothers, with belts, bats or anything which was close enough to grab, so my pity level is zero or negative in her case.

Recurring Zombie Dreams?
I've been having the same dream occasionally for about 6 months now, and it's really quite disturbing. Sometimes it's clear, other times it's not, but I'll explain the most clear dream I've had of it: It goes straight into action, no build up or anything. Me and these kids I once met during a German exchange are being chased around a school campus that I have never been to in my life. It's sunset, but it soon turns to night. Me and my friends get into a car with someone's mom, not sure whose, and we set off driving. It starts raining heavily and it's dark now, but there's a phone call and we can't go to the location we were heading because of zombies. We head back to the school but they're there too. We get chased and chased and it's so tiring, and eventually me and another friend, a girl that I've never met before, find our way inside a school bus. Outside there are zombies at all the windows. That's as far as it's ever gotten, but sometimes the bus thing and the whole car thing don't happen. It seems really weird, but I'd like some interpretations lol. BTW: I don't watch many horror movies, I hate zombie ones :(.
I'm losing my faith in Islam....?
Salaam Aliakim Sister I know those feelings. I have had them. But I realize being human its quite easy to let ones daily life get in the way of our connection to Allah. Also the western world constantly uses propaganda against our Iman. I am not giving you or myself excuses. I am pointing to our weaknesses. Sister you are Muslim. There is no where to take ones soul after Islam! I know there have been times I considered a return to Christianity. Its so much easier and it would please the majority of my family. BUT there is a problem. I don't, can't and won't believe in any professed God. Allaah or nothing. Not by choice but by faith. I see corruption in Islam people and get discouraged. I must remember that Islam is not about the people or the religion it is about a relationship with Allaah and obedience to His desires for us. Take your religion out of the equation for a moment and simply focus one on one with Allah the most merciful, oft forgivng. You will return your enthusiasm. Don't let guilt betray you little sister.
I've been having random bouts of insomnia lately, anything I can do to feel less tired throughout the day?
I've been having it on and off for years, but lately it's been getting worse. I've seen some doctors and the treatments help but when I'm still not able to sleep, is there anything I can do to feel more alert/less irritable and not completely drained? Being up all night and working long hours is awful :/ Thanks
