Have You Ever Met Somebody Who Liked These Bands See And Tv Shows See

I get jealous when others like bands I liked first?

OMFG I'm in exactly the same situation. I recently got into both those bands (they're amazing aren't they?<3) and i was showing a few of their songs to one of my good friends (who also listens to that kind of mainstream music) and she said she fell in love with them too (which i find difficult to believe since she DOES NOT seem like the type to listen to these bands). a few days ago she was checking them out and said she hated the screaming from 'king for a day' when i told her i loved it, she pretending she did too. and she knows absolutely nothing about them except that kellin and vic are attractive lead singers -____- ANYWAYS i guess why i feel like that cuz i feel like she might get credit for discovering them or liking them. i also find it disappointing that she knows NOTHING about them at all... and she's only putting on a show. i, for one, just try to ignore it... it's not easy but thats about the only thing i can do without being a b**** to her...

Hope I helped, good luck<3

Have you ever seen the band "tool" live?

no, I haven't BUT everyone I've asked and what i've heard says its loud and fantastic.

If you get the chance, go.

What was the worst band you have ever seen live? Why?

I have two.A British HM band called Tank supported either Motorhead or Maiden, I forget which, in about ‘82. They were one of the punk bands that jumped ship and went metal in the early 80s. They actually got heckled in the Hammersmith Odeon. They were awful. I think they helped the bar do a roaring trade.Gorillaz at Glastonbury, 2010. U2 were supposed to play but Bono broke his back and Damon Albarn stepped in. Now, Blur had played the year before, so he came with Gorillaz, who had a new album out and a tour planned. They had a technically brilliant backdrop to showcase the virtual band. They had guests including Bobby Womak, Lou Reid, Snoop Dogg, and a band that boasted Paul Simonon and Mick Jones, yes, half of the Clash. It should have been epic. Instead they concentrated on new songs from the album that no one knew. Lou Reid appeared to be in a different key, or possibly playing a different song, to the rest of the band. They broke for a folk arrangement of acoustic instruments half way through. At one point Daman grabbed a microphone, and shouted ‘Sing along’, looked at the glum audience, and added ‘Please’. It was long, it was lacklustre, it was badly presented, and an arrogant set arrangement. I was stuck at the front and couldn’t leave. It was a showcase of how not to engage with your audience. If only he’d just come along with Blur!

Have you ever seen anyone you know on shows like 60 days in, Behind Bars: Rookie Year or the First 48?

No, but I did know a woman who was featured on America's Most Wanted. They said she killed a cop, but it was all her white supremacist boyfriend. She was captured, and proven innocent, but it was funny to watch how the show portrayed her as this violent, cunning, beautiful femme fatale. In reality she was just a nerdy looking, drug addicted, nieve girl who got involved with the wrong guy.Still though, it was a good episode.

Does anybody have any tips on meeting the band? (panic at the disco)?

*whistles* This one's definitely difficult. Ever since Panic at the Disco blew up it's been really difficult to meet the band.
It's not that the band doesn't want to meet their fans, it's the fact that some fans get so out of hand and smother the band members to the point where it's a security hazard.
Your best bet would be:
a. Getting to the show really early and catching them before they go in for sound check
b. Staying really late out by the bus area
or c. if by some miracle they're actually walking around during the show, politely ask for a picture or to sign something.
They key to that one is to not make a big deal of it and scream "OH MY GOD BRENDON URIE." because then a ton of other fans will come flocking and you'll lose time with the band.

Hope this helped (:

Peter Tork of the 1960s band The Monkees passed-away today. Did you use to watch the Monkees’ TV show or listen to their music?

“The Monkees” revival hit MTV in 1986, when I was 12. My friend Jennifer and I used to rush home to her house after school to watch it.Of course, we both had crushes on different Monkees. Jen loved Davy Jones; whenever Davy met a girl on the show, she got jealous.Me? I loved Pete. Pete never got the girl, though. He was the lovable goofball, the silly one, the sweet-but-dim one. Still, I found him utterly adorable and I wanted him to be my boyfriend.Like fellow Monkee Michael Nesmith, Peter Tork was a skilled musician, and a serious one, prior to his time on “The Monkees”; he even got the gig through association with Rock and Roll hall of famer Stephen Stills, a friend.Although “Daydream Believer” was written by the Kingston Trio's John Stewart, the song's lovely and memorable piano intro was Tork’s creation. In addition to piano, he also played guitar, bass, and banjo proficiently.I will always remember Peter Tork fondly. And I will be listening to the Monkees today.Rest well, Pete. Thanks for the laughs, and for the memories.
