OMGosh lol! I was at the health club once on the treadmill. I had my headset on and this place was packed. All of a sudden one of my favorite tunes started playing. I started moving my hips and soon followed the rest of my body and then came the singing. I was able to see people moving around in there but all of a sudden It was like someone had been murdered and everyone was looking at the body. Needless to say when I turned around it was my body everyone was watching. They all started applauding and yelling encore. I have never been so embarrassed in my life..lol

What does a gun shot in the street sound like when you hear it from a residence?
I've lived for many years in both Uptown in Chicago and the Tenderloin in San Francisco back in the days when crack was king so you'd hear gunshots every two or three months or so.The majority of times it sounds to me like someone took a hammer and hit it really hard against a thick sheet of steel. The sound is very short and a little bit higher pitched than you'd expect.Also, people tend to dump the whole load, shoot all of the bullets as fast as they can.I know they were guns because I had a police radio back then and as soon as I heard the shots I'd turn on the radio and hear the call go out from dispatch.A shotgun has a deeper, longer sound and rather than being a sharp sound it's a more round sound; it's hard to put it into words.One time, in Uptown (1325 W. Wilson) it was a kid on a bicycle and you could tell he didn't take any care of the gun because every time he pulled the trigger it would squeak, like it hadn't been oiled.Another time, in the Tenderloin it was the proverbial screeching tires as the car came around the corner of Eddy and Taylor and you could hear the girls screaming and the sound of their high heels as they were running away. Two of them got shot in the legs.We also had some sort of minimum security halfway house around the corner that a guy shot up with an Uzi or a Mac-10, that's what the police said on the radio. It had more of a machine tool sound than a gun sound.The most recent shooting was here in the South Park area of S.F. It was about 3 a.m. and as it woke me up I counted the shots, I believe five total. I called that one in because I thought there was a chance the victim might be just wounded but no such luck for him. He was a passenger in a car and was shot by someone outside the vehicle. The driver took off, traveled about three blocks and bailed.The case remains unsolved but I don't think the police are trying too hard as this involved people who don't matter in our society, if you get my drift.
My sims randomly started catching fire?!?! WHY!!?
I have all of the expansion packs for the Sims 2...none of the stuff packs though....but today I was playing a lot which had a buisness on it...(res lot, with a buisness on it)...and everything was going great...until all the people on my lot start randomly catching fire! My sim was the first but after that customers, employees, even the fire fighter...they just cought fire. Out of no where, it wasn;t like they were standing around the fire....it just started from underneath their feet! Why did this happen?!? Is it a bug?!
If you hear a fire alarm and leave a building, how do you know if there is actually a fire?
The question seems to imply the problem of too many false alarms, or way too many excessive fire drills. If you hear an unusual noise, you had better investigate. You could have a burst water pipe flooding the home, the basement sump pump does not just turn on for no reason - better find out why it is running. If the fire alarm sounds, you could look out every window for any signs of smoke or fire-related activity.Of huge concern is how long it takes to evacuate. If the evacuation path is too long, then it is much more urgent to evacuate at the first possible sign of trouble. Which is why many buildings have a fire alarm system to begin with. As once you see the signs of fire, you may have but only a few minutes, if that, to get everybody out of your apartment or home. It might already be too late and you have to look for an alternate exit - well if there even is such an alternate exit? How will you get out, if already, you waited for too long, and all the stairwells are full of smoke? Do you have a bottle of oxygen or of compressed air that you can use, so that you do not die on the way out of smoke inhalation? Probably not. Very few stairwells are built fire-safe, with permanent window openings to let the smoke out of the stairwell. If you are in the world trade center, and the other tower got hit by an airplane, evacuate immediately. By all means, if people are lined up waiting for the elevator, take the stairs. It might take a half hour to get out, so start immediately. You do not know how much time that you have. Much better to have an excuse to get out of work, see a little excitement, and to be safe rather than to be sorry, than to risk pretending like everything is okay, and then it is not okay after all. But if you are in a ground floor or 2nd floor apartment, with easy access to get outside, then it may not be quite as urgent. In fact, I think if I lived or worked in a highrise, it would be advisable to leave via the stairs, at least once a year, just to be sure that you can do it, in case there ever was a fire or emergency, and the elevators can not be depended upon.
