Have You Read The Novel

Have you read the novel of "The 100"?

No, actually.I know, I know, it's a shame—I almost always read the book before watching the movie or show of something.I binge-watched the first two seasons about two years ago, and then I watched seasons three and four (The finale’s tonight! Whoop whoop!) live. I've been meaning to read the books, but I haven't gotten around to it.My sister told me the books are really bad, actually, and the show is nothing like them. I guess I'll just have to see for myself!

How should one read a novel?

Don't read the book again, even if it's interesting for you. You can come back to it later, even much later on. You move on. You learn to accept you have unknown words inside your head. You move on to the next book. Chances are, you'll meet these old unknown friends again. Each time you meet up, their senses will grow on you. It's like seeing an old friend after a while. Your friend becomes more recognisable each time you see him or her. You understand more about him or her every time. If you don't see the friend again, you will remember him or her because you remember you don't know him or her. Get my meaning? This is how native speakers acquire their mother tongue from birth. Native speakers don't learn what they don't know. They learn what they come to know. There's a fine line of difference (and not easy to explain). You are a little late in the timetable, so you'll need some time and effort to catch up. Sometimes you must go to the dictionary, but most times, learn to live with words you don't know now -- because you'll know them later when you keep moving forward.I'm not kidding you. This is how my schoolmates and I learnt our foreign languages. Thanks for the A2A.

How often do you read a book/novel?

Religiously DAILY.Every free minute I get, I pop onto some book.Atleast one physical book and one ebook.I can't stop till I finish the one I'm reading and can't wait to pick new one. Let it be a single page or a single line, daily.Hell breaks loose during vacations and while travelling.Long travels + device with good battery backup(ebooks) / a great book (lighter ones are preferred).Add noise cancelling earphones with a comfy seat.Viola! Perfect setting to wander into myriad worlds creating with words.

Have you read the novel Atlas Shrugged?

short answer: it allows him to intermingle with the "socialists" and thus have crooked standards, most especially: his wife.

Franciso D'Anconnia says to Hank Rearden: "If you applied the same technology you do to your mills to your social life, you would not allow any immorality in."

But Hank does allow immorality in, via his wife, who makes deals with Jim Taggert. Hank's wife also represents a counter example to Dagny Taggert, who is a woman but thinks like a man. Apparently, Hank Rearden is attracted to people who can put a city together, and not just a dinner party. He resents his wife mostly because she is ignorant of the term "hard work."

But what really punishes Hank is his "psychological guilt" that makes him feel guilty for being an inventor. Throughout the entire first half of the book, everyone hates Rearden Metal, but then they decide to fall in love with it, and call it Miracle Metal. His decision to feel guilty about creating the metal, from the suggestions of the state governments, forced him to be pent up with rage, unable to communicate his emotions, and above all, unable to exert his dominance over the country like he did before.

Have you read the novel Cold mountain, Well can you please help me?

Charles Frazier seems to imply that, because of the moral barrenness of the Civil War and the crimes committed on the battlefield in the name of honor, there is no moral onus attached to the act of desertion? Do you agree with him? Why has Frazier chosen to portray the deserters as good, the Home Guard as evil?
