My Credit Card is going to expire next month but still I have a due amount of near about 25k on that Credit Card. Now, what will happen and how can I get my new Credit Card?

If you have been making timely payments of at least the minimum dues every month, they most likely renew your account and send you a new card before the current one expires. If there are only a few days left, check with the bank - some times are delays or misses due to errors in the process.Hope this helps. All the best.

How do secured credit cards work?

I have never had a credit card and don't have any credit, so I was told to go for a secured credit card. It was explained to me with an example like this: I deposit $500, so I then have $500 available to me on the card, then at the end of each month I pay off whatever I spent. But I don't understand because why do I owe if I'm already spending my own money. So potentially, I put in $500 and if I spend all of that then I would have to lost $1,000?

Is $3700 a lot in credit card debt?

He's wondering what else you are hiding from him.

Should I pay off my car loan or continue to make payments?

Pay it off. 1) It will boost your credit when it shows you've paid your car off far ahead of time. 2) It will save you money, 6% on a loan isn't high, but it isn't exactly low either. I know a guy who recently got a car loan at .08%... That's ridiculously low, and if your percentage was like that then I would say by all means to pay it off. You'll be paying nearly $2,300 in interest over the four years, if you can pay it off sooner then you save that much money. That's ~12.8% of the total cost of the car if the car itself is worth $18k!

What happens if I lie on a credit card application?

You know; I've got that master card with the low interest. I EARNED IT!!!

I got my first cc from my bank in which I usually had $3500 in my savings account. I was going to buy a Gateway computer and wanted to just put it on a cc. They gave me a cc with $500 of credit on it; just about what the monitor cost back then. I used it once a month and paid the bill in full and on time each month. After about 6 months my credit was raised to $1k and I continued to just buy a tank of fuel each month with it.

I now have 5 credit cards for various reasons but only use 2 of them on a regular basis.

Chase 17,500
Chase 8,000
Citi 20,000
Menards 15,000
GM Card 15,000

No card has an unpaid balance.

Not too bad considering I have about 80k of income per year. When I got my first cc I only had about 12k per year of income.

As for a good lie: I know a man who got a felony, spent 9 months in prison, and after filing chapter 7 now has to repay $200,000 of business debt. All that because of a false Balance Sheet.

Which do you prefer credit or debit cards?

I was using debit card since 2010. I recently got a credit card from an India’s reputed bank(SBI). I am using this card for three months and here is my experience.I used every day, and each place credit card and I was happy that even if I don’t have cash, I can buy stuff. My credit limit nearly exhausted each month. When I got my salary (stipend), all my money went in filling bills. This thing continued for 2–3 month. I was spending a cashless life.In this month I got an emergency of withdrawing Rs. 2000. I never withdrew any cash from credit limit. So I withdraw Rs. 2000.In next statement, I saw charges as follows.Withdrawal amount: 2000SBI ATM CASH FEE: 300FIN CHARGE ON CASH: 34.91TOTAL ST DEBIT FOR CURRENT STMT: 46.89TOTAL SBC DEBIT FOR CURRENT STMT: 1.67TOTAL KKC DEBIT FOR CURRENT STMT: 1.68So they charged me 385.15 on Rs. 2000 that is about 19.2575 % + billed monthlyIf we convert this to annual percentage it would be about 19.2575 * 12 = 231.09 %Conclusion: Credit card is good only for shopping. They give you credit limit but be aware they charge you a minimum amount that is very high compared to you can get from your friend. All costs are hidden in most of the cash( in T&C).I got in cash deficit condition due to the credit card. I would recommend never get the credit card. Having a credit card you will over spend money, You will not have cash.At last Credit cards are less secure compared to a debit card. I have applied for closure of credit card.
