What is the relationship between Dr. Doom and Valeria Richards?
Valeria Richards—not Valerie—is the second-born child of Reed Richards and Susan Storm. Similarly to her first pregnancy with Franklin, Sue’s second was fraught with trouble, and there was fear that they would lose the baby. The full story is long and a bit convoluted but, long story short, Reed enlisted Doom’s help due to being unable to find a solution himself. This admittance of ignorance was the boost to Doom’s ego that he needed, and he agreed if only to show Reed up. He was successful in delivering their daughter due to his combination of magical and scientific skills and in turn was allowed to name her. He named her after his first love: Valeria.Doom also used the moment of her birth to forge a magical link between the two of them, allowing him to see through her eyes and use her to begin an assault on the Baxter Building. It failed, and the link was broken, but there remained a seemingly permanent bond between the two, to the point that Doom sees her like family and protects her like his own. This is likely tied to her own immense intellect, one which rivaled her father’s by childhood and either will or already has grown to exceed both his and Doom’s.Valeria and Doom have a very special bond, somewhat like an uncle and his favored niece. Valeria’s influence on Doom is also noticeable, as his protectiveness over her has prevented him at times from taking action against her family, especially when Valeria is undergoing any kind of emotional distress. Valeria, like her namesake, is one of the few people for whom Doom well and truly cares.

Which sport has more athletic players: the NFL or the NBA?
If by “athletic” you mean the best combination of power, speed, size and agility then there is simply no contest: NFL players are much more athletic!I am surprised that there are people here that are suggesting otherwise when we actually do have a way to compare them… the NFL combine and NBA combine.check here for NBA numbers: DraftExpress - Player's measurements historycheck here for NFL numbers: Combine Top PerformersOne would imagine that since jumping is such a key component of basketball; that NBA players would be better at jumping yet a look at the numbers from the combine show that this is clearly not the case. Take Russell Westbrook for example; he is one of the most athletic players in the NBA. His standing vert at the combine was 30 inches as measured at the combine… the best standing vertical in this years NFL combine was 44 inches. Yes I know that there we people at the NBA combine with higher verticals than Westbrook but this is is still indicative. To give that more context, the average standing vertical leap at the NBA combine is 27 inches, this is lower than the verticals for NFL offensive linemen who you would consider fat!The NBA combine use 185lbs for their Bench press test and the NFL use 225lbs and bench press more. Some other reasons to think about are the fact that many NFL players come from a track and field background and are state level competitors. Some explanations for this are:NBA players required a much more rounded skill set than NFL players so have much less time to train for strength etcNFL players have a much shorter season so can spend time training strengthThere are far great diminishing returns for athleticism in the NBA than the NFL (because of the all round skill gap). However, some people will choose to include height in the equation pulling it more in favour of the NBA but I don’t consider this athleticism…I think the NFL has the best collection of athletes outside of Track and Field and one of my all time favourite examples of this was the now retired Calvin johnson:6'5 240, 4.35 40 yd dash, 10.23 100 meter dash, 11′7′’ foot broad jump, 45 inch standing verticalThis sort of freakishness exists in the NFL… but doesnt in the NBA. compare someone like Lebron to this and you will find him wanting in every department. Some interesting reading: NFL vs NBA: Which sport has the better athletes?
