Having Trouble Updating Ipod

How do I update my Apple IPod? Please read the details.

MB528ZP/A is the iPod Touch (second generation) which released in September 2008. It launched with iPhone OS 2 and was the first iPod to ship with the App Store. To update this iPod, connect it to your computer using iTunes and check for updates. This specific iPod touch will update up to iOS 4.2.1 which is the final version of iOS 4 before the release of iOS 5; it will not go any further than 4.2.1 due to hardware restrictions and the end of support from Apple. You will need iTunes 8.0 or later to update this iPod, and an Internet connection.

Can I update my iPod Touch iOS from 7.0.4 to 9.3.3?

Hi, Apple is the only source, that is if Apple have stopped signing versions, any software can not do that.Check firmware on 3uTool [1]website and you can flash through 3uTools directly.Hope it would help you.Footnotes[1] iOS jailbreak & flash tool

Why isn't apple updating the ipod?

The current ipod  (now called the Ipod Touch) was released  last year.  Hardware wise, it is equivalent to an Iphone 5S  without  the cellular hardware.  So it's hardly out of date. The ipod market however  will never be what was as all smartphones are media devices now, and the Iphone has all it's functions.

After updating my 6th gen iPod Touch to iOS 10.3.1, I can't sign in on iCloud. What should I do?

How do I update an Ipod touch without losing my apps?

I remember this from when I upgraded to iOS5 last year. First, go into iTunes and see what apps, etc are backuped up on your computer. Make sure to enable backing up onto your computer, if that is possible (I didn't have to change any settings in order for this to work, but I may have changed settings prior to this)When I installed iOS5, at first my iPod had no data on it. Then it took about 2 hours for all the apps, music, etc to be re-loaded onto the device from the backup. This happened automatically, without my having to do anything. So, in summary, yes installing iOS5 deleted all the data on my device, but then it re-populated my device with all the data I had previously. I don't remember if I had to redo settings on any apps.

If I update my iPod will it delete everything?

Ok so I need to update my iPod because it keeps reminding me but everytime I ask this question no one seems to answer so PLEASE can someone tell me that when it says "their are purchased items on your ipod that have not been transfered to your itunes library, you should transfer these items before updating. are you sure you want to continue?" Will this delete anything off my ipod? because once when I was plugging in my old ipod into the computer it deleted all of my songs. :/ I was really mad! I have a lot of songs and I really don't want to re-buy anything.

Also I am trying to transfer a couple of episodes I bought on my computer to my ipod and I have no clue how to do this either! I don't want to eff anything up doing that too!

PLEASE HELP ME!
THANKS!

Error messages whenever I plug in my iPod since updating to Windows 10, "E:\ The directory name is invalid."?

I recently updated my computer to Windows 10 and haven t had any major problems, but when wanting to change some music around on my iPod I plugged it in and got a message saying that my iPod seemed corrupted and that I should restore it, which I then did immediately. After several minutes it finished installing updated software and stopped syncing but I still couldn t import any music onto it (and restoring it took off all the music that had been on it previously), so I ejected the iPod and plugged it back in. That got me the same message as before as well as a new one, saying: "E:\ The directory name is invalid."
I tried it a couple more times just in case, then plugged in an old iPod of the same type and got the same thing, but it s still just fine with my iPhone.

How do I update my iPod to iOs 7?

If your iPod touch is a 5th generation or newer, you can do it from the settings. If it's a 4th generation or below, iOS 7 is not supported. It's actually impossible to update as Apple never made that software for the device. I'll spare you the technical details, but if the device is not supported, deal with it or buy a new iPod.
