What do you think of the name Hayden Brielle? ?
I am not fond of unisex names on girls b/c to me, they are almost always boyish and unfeminine and Hayden is no exception. Hayden is an adorable name for a boy but it's just mannish for a girl. Hayden Brielle might as well be Anthony Brielle to me. I'd pick a more feminine first name like Hannah or Hailey or Hallie.

Is Hayman a strange English name?
As others have pointed out, this name does sound more male than female. And there’s actually an Islamic name from the bible spelled ‘Haman,’.Who long story short: Was the right-hand man of the Persian empire at the time of the writing of the book of Ester. He actually attempts to rid Persia of the Hebrew people; and would have succeeded had God not worked through Ester to gain the kings favor to keep this from happening. So, as an English speaker who has read the bible, this is the thing my mind jumps to when I read the name ‘Hayman’. (He was a very strong antagonist, so using that name around especially older-generation speakers will get you some looks.)Also, I’m a writer, and the way i go about naming my characters is usually by looking for a name with a particular meaning behind it first. For example, If i want my character to represent ‘light’ or ‘A new beginning,’ i wouldn't simply call her ‘light’.I would use ‘Lucy,’ and old English name, or ‘Nuru’: a name that is African is its descent, either from yoruba, or zwhahila. So you might be better off looking for an English name that fits the meaning of your Cantonese one :)Also, some female names i could suggest would be: Hayden, (used for boys and girls)-Hallie ( which you could spell with a ‘hay’ for something like ‘hayle’)Or, a great site I use to find more unusual names for my characters, is http://www.Behindthewriting.comYou can search by ‘hay’ and select what languages you want to appear with these letters and sounds in it. And there are also a lot of French or Italian names that are very familiar to English speakers that could fit the bill! :)Happy hunting,
