Headache Above Left Eyebrow

Headache above eyebrow?

My friend and I were at a concert and she began getting a `headache` above/on her left eyebrow...?
I was curious to what this would be and why it was caused? It sounds weird to me... a headache on her eyebrow..haha!

Headache just above eyebrow?

I have a small cold, but I am assuming it is allergies because I checked weather.com and it said that the pollen level is EXTREMELY HIGH. But now I have a painful headache just above my eyebrow. I just got out of school for the weekend, so could it be due to stress? Please let me know, the sooner the better!

Headache above my left eyebrow?

With the winter weather we've been having, and the fact that it hurts when you lean over makes me think it is a sinus problem. Your sinuses and ears both drain into the back of your nose.

When the weather is dry, the mucus and fluid that drain from them both can get too thick to flow out, and if allergies, a cold or a virus make the tissues around these tubes swell, they can't drain. Then pressure begins to build up causing either a headache or sore ears. If you can get things opened back up and flowing before bacteria begins to grow in the backed up fluid, then you can avoid sinus and ear infections.

Take some Sudafed (you'll have to show your driver's license to the pharmacy), more pain medicine, some Mucinex (thins mucus), use a nasal decongestant spray, use a humidifier in your bedroom, and try to drink more water, These can all be used at the same time.

Hope you feel better soon.

Headache above right eyebrow?

I suffer from chronic headaches, and it sounds like a sinus migraine to me. They are very painful and difficult to treat, and I have yet to find a decongestant that will work when I have one. If your panic attacks started after the headache, then they could be due to your concern over the fact that the headache hasn't gone away. Do you have to have a referral for a neurologist? I would try to find another neurologist that can fit you in sooner. Also, there are decongestant nasal sprays that will work better than a pill; ask your doctor for one of those in the meantime.

How do you treat a headache behind the left eyebrow?

It sounds like it may be sinus pressure affecting your orbital. You can try a few things, and if that is it this should help.Apply your thumb, upside down, to the center of your brow at the crest of your nose. Apply a small amount of pressure. If you notice a decrease in pain, it is probably swelling in your sinuses. Steamy shower, and a NSAID such as ibuprofen or naproxen. Warm compress (hot wet washcloth) on the face, and a decongestant if you notice any sinus congestion. If you notice it is a little hard to breathe through your nose, but do not have any congestion or discharge, this is not necessary. If your sinuses are to dry though, they can become irritated and swollen as well. A nasal spray (saline, not medicated) can provide relief.Hope you feel better soon!

Strange headache above right eyebrow?

Definately. Ammonia is very a very strong smell, and is in close proximity to your face as you dye your hair with it. Just above your eyebrows is where your sinuses are, and they are linked to your nose. Sinus headaches aren't usually serious, and as you said, the strong ammonia probably just overwhelmed you and made you feel a bit strange. Try taking a nap, or getting a cold compress to your head. If the pain gets real bad then arrange a doctors appointment, although I think it will clear up soon. Good luck!

Why do I have headaches above my left eye frequently?

I am going to go with the percentages here. That means I am going with what occurs usually. There are many unusual reasons why you may have thie headache, but most headaches are muscle contraction headaches and most of them are caused by trigger points in the neck muscles. Especially for a plasterer like yourself.Specifically for pain above the left eye I would be looking for a trigger point in the left Trapezius, left Sternocleidomastoid or the left suboccipital muscles. As on this drawing.See all those little “x’s” that is where the trigger points usually are. A simple way to identify which trigger point is the culprit is to take a clothes peg and lift the skin up over the “x” and put the clothes peg on it. Wait a minute or two and see if the headache goes away. If it does you have found the problem area. Now go find a Myofascial Pain therapist to help you get rid of it.
