Healthy But Get A Lot Of Headaches What Can I Do

I'm getting a lot of headaches lately?

I used to get many throughout the school year due to not eating/being tired/stress. Since summer has started I've gotten a few due to heat or poor diet, but not very many. However lately, with thoughts of school I've been getting a headache almost every day. Sometimes aspirin help it but usually it's my stressful thoughts that give me a headache and I only don't get one if I'm doing something to keep me busy all day long as my most recent ones have only come at night when I'm alone. I don't get much sleep lately and I'm extremely anxious about school starting as last year (grade 9) was quite rough on me. Could this stress be a reason for my constant headaches? Today I wokeup with one and I took 2 aspirin at about 3:30 which only relieved it briefly and now it's back again. What should I do about these headaches? I won't even go anywhere without aspirin now.

I get a lot of headaches, what can i do?

There are typically three causes for Migraines: Hormones(more for girls), Foods or Smells and Stress(Even computer screens cause this stress). Take a close look at your daily life when you get them. Keep notes. It may tell you and your DR why.

1st - It may be time to get your eyes checked or rechecked. Needing glasses or having an old prescription are both causes for really bad headaches.

Next - Has your doctor said you get migraines? They are different from sinus headaches, even though they are both killer. See the DR. Tell him or her all the symptoms you have. Let them tell you they are migraines first. If they already have, then there are meds out there to help reduce how ofter you get them. I now only get them once a month when my hormones change.

Lastly, it could be the meds your taking now or even something you are eating. I have to avoid Cayenne Pepper, Clams and even MSG. These are just a few of the foods that can cause migraines.

So think about all the things you do each day and check with your DR. Don't let them rule you life. You will be so happy when they are under control.

Wishing you comfort and wellness, Smiles

Why am I always tired, not hungry, and get lots of headaches?

ok, first off, how long have you been a veggie, i am one, and the first month was hell because my body was trying to adapt to the fact that i wasn't in-taking meat, you need to make sure you are getting enough potassium and iron, if you are getting really crampy you might have potassium deficiency, you could also be anemic, if you get really cold all the time, and you are prone to chew on crunchy things or eat ice alot it could be a sign of anemia, i am extremely anemic, i get shots for it and take iron supplements every day, i would recommend a teen vitamin along with potassium and iron supplements and a trip to the doctor and nutritionist so you can find out what nutrients you need and how to fit that in your diet, if you want to see if your anemic at home, run real gold along your face, if a green streak turns up on your cheek, i would get that checked out, good luck fellow veggie!!

Bad headaches with newly started healthy eating plan?

If you cut caffeine out of your diet, that could be the reason. Caffeine often gives people a "withdrawal" when they quit drinking it, and one of the main symptoms is headaches and irritability.
If that's the case, then the headaches should being to fade, and eventually go away.

If it's not the caffeine, maybe your body wasn't ready for an immediate and drastic change of diet. (For example, if you used to eat a high fat, high sugar diet, and all of the sudden you stopped eating fat and sugars, your body will not like the change, and it may react in an unpleasant way.)

Either way, the headaches should go away or lighten up soon. I suggest you drink plenty of water, and exercise and rest

Are headaches that last for 4 days bad?

Before asking if you should go to the doctor, you should evaluate what you have done for this headache. Pain is your body's way to telling you something is wrong. Try to figure out what your body is telling you. Have you been especially stressed lately? Do you have a lot of tension? Both are common causes of headaches. Is your area experiencing weather changes? High and low pressure fronts moving in cause many people headaches. Have you recently changed your diet or activity level? Both can cause headaches. What have you done to try and make the headache go away? Over the counter pain medications, such as Excedrin, Aleve, or ibuprofen work for many people. Fresh air and exercise are also good remedies. Don't do anything too extreme, but a walk in the fresh air can help your headache as well as give you a chance to relax and reduce your stress and tension. Make sure you are getting plenty of water to drink, and are eating healthy, lots of fruits and veggies will help your body and give you needed nutrients. Make sure you are getting plenty of rest. Lack of sleep can also cause headaches. If all else fails and you still have the headache, talk to your doctor. It never hurts to get checked out. I do not, however, recommend going to the emergency room. A simple headache is not appropriate for the emergency room and you are taking time away from the doctors and nurses that could be helping emergent patients. Unless this came on suddenly, or is so bad you cannot function, chances are you do not have a tumor. In fact, you are more likely to get in a car accident on the way to the doctor's office then to have a tumor. If you are stressing over the idea that you have a tumor, you may very well be exacerbating the situation with the added stress you are giving yourself. Just relax!I hope you feel better soon!
