Heat Regulator For Frigidaire Oven

How can i adjust the flame on my frigidaire stove?

call a pro,u can cause problems by trying it yourself

Why is my Frigidaire L P gas oven burning yellow flames and has soot coming out?

Yellow flame and soot production from a gas range is a sign that the burners are not adjusted properly. To produce a steady flame, gas is fed to the burner, mixed with air, and ignited. A proper mixture of gas and air results in a smooth, hot, blue flame. If there is too much air (or too little gas) the flame will sputter or go out - there's not enough gas to maintain combustion. If there is too little air (or too much gas) a yellow, sooty flame is the result - there's not enough oxygen to completely burn all the gas, the unburned carbon glows yellow/orange and becomes soot when it cools. If the problem is not enough air, that can be solved by opening ‘shutters’ around the burner tube, allowing more air in. Most modern ranges however, don't have adjustable shutters of the top burners, which brings us to the other possible culprit: too much gas.You specified that your stove is powered by LP, rather than natural gas. At least in the United States, almost all household ranges are manufactured to be fueled by natural gas. If they are going to be fed by LP, they must be converted: the pressure regulator needs to be adjusted - often accomplished by flipping a piece internallyand the burner orifices need to be adjusted or replaced - each burner will have at least one, and some high-end burners have three or more.If you try to run a natural gas range on LP, tall yellow sooty flames will be your reward.

How do gas stoves explode? What are some precautions to prevent it?

Gas stoves do not explode. However, if you allow gas to build up in the stove and then try to light it the gas will explode.Prevention is simple. Just light the match and hold it to the burner as you turn on the gas.

What causes electric oven heating elements to break? I've had three failures in two years.

The main heating element of an oven is the coil resistance. When you says break, you mean that the resistance heats in a temperature range beyond the max it can handled. But ovens for personal use have a temperature range between 50°C and 300°C (but you probably already know that). The only thing that could cause overheating in the resistance would be electronic circuitry misfunctionning. We could suppose that the thermal isolation has been misconceived between the electronic part and the heating part of the oven, affecting the circuitry in a way or an other. But I didn’t find statistics talking about how much ovens breaks over the total sold.To have three failures in three years, we could say you’re not lucky, but in terms of probabiblities, three in a row is quite rare or impossible, with the millions of ovens produced per year.We could also justify it with planned obsolescence, as the more the electronic there is in the oven, the more they manage to make theit ovens to break in a shorter time. Again, it is not that as you got three replacements in less than a year.So I would go for the thermal isolation issue, but again, I’m not really sure.

How much does a furnace gas valve replacement cost?

You can expect the cost to vary from $250.00-$350.00 for a typical residential furnace.  Commercial and specialty valves will of course be charged by the contractor commensurate with their costs and may involve hidden costs to compensate the contractor for any specialized training required to be permitted to sell and install such valves.  There may also be a price differential based on location and demand.  Prices are generally higher on the coasts (East and West) than in mid-America.  Prices in other parts of the world may be higher or lower by local custom and demand and availability of trained personnel.
