How can I make a habit of waking up early in the morning?

For me, waking up early in the morning comes down to 3 things.Having good sleep hygiene. You can’t wake up early if you aren’t well-rested. So step one is get your sleep hygiene in order. To do so, follow these simple rules.Schedule Sleep – Don’t get up and go to bed at wildly different times each day. That messes with your body’s natural sleep cycles and makes it harder for you to fall asleep fast, stay asleep, and wake up refreshed.Don’t Sabotage Your Sleep – Avoid late-in-the-day caffeine from coffee, tea, energy drinks or sodas. Don’t take stimulants such as tobacco. Avoid heavy, greasy, or spicy meals near bedtime as well.Make a Sleep Sanctuary – Keep your bedroom dark, neat, and between 60 – 67 degrees Fahrenheit. Don’t bring work, bills, or other stress-causers into your bedroom. Make sure your pillows, sheets, blankets and mattresses are comfortable.Work Hard, Play Hard. During the day, get physical exercise and sunlight. Both will set you up for a more restful sleep at night. Don’t take naps either, as they’ll have the opposite effect.Ease Into Bedtime – Have a glass of warm milk or read a book. Avoid the blue light emitted from electronic devices such as phones and tablets.Having a habitual morning routine.Have a nice morning routine that you enjoy and look forward to. Here’s my advice, but feel free to create your own.You can read more about my morning routine here: How to Have a Great Morning: 4 Steps to the Perfect Morning RoutineHaving a purpose in your life. You can’t be eager to get up early if there is no purpose in your life. I read a great quote last week that said something along the lines of “Successful people feel about Mondays like regular people feel about Fridays.” You should have something in your life that you damn well can’t live without. That you are hungry for. That you are excited about. Then you won’t have to drag yourself out of bed - you’ll be pulled out every morning by your passion. For more life tips, check out Improve My Life This Year

What is the best time for studying?

“Time is precious” a proverb that everyone knows but seldom values its richness. But a person who knows the secret to time management only value the preciousness of time.If you love and enjoy your education, Every time will be the right time. If you really want a plan to cover certain targets or hours then I would suggest you to,Wake up at 5 in the morning complete your daily needs warm up a bit, take shower and start studying subject which requires memory power. Continue for 3 hours or so and must take short breaks after every 1 hour and take some fresh air.Do your breakfast read the newspaper a bit and then go back to study. Now do something calculative like physics or maths if you are from science. Continue for 2hours. Don't take break this time because its just 2 hours and you need to give lots of focus on calculations. So breaks might deviate you.If you have college , I guess you come back home at 5/6 in the evening take some rest get refreshed eat something and start studying from 7 to 9:30. This is an important 2.5 hours. You need to revise all the subject that you learned today in college or coaching within that short time. Plan it wellDo your dinner and stuffs and return to your study table by 10 and continue till 1. During this 3 hours do something moderate, chemistry for instance.Revision is a must thing for success. Utilize your sundays properly. You can add some extra 2–3 hours in your schedule for revision of the week. And also create weekly targets for better results. So in weekends 12–13 hours and weekdays 8–10hours. I think that's the best way you can utilize time.Good luck! Enjoy the education! Stay disciplined!

What are my chances of landing an Intelligence job in the Air Force?

I am enlisting in the Air Force and am simply excited at this opportunity to start a new chapter in my life and at the chances available to start a new career. With that being said, I am anxious and worried about which job I will be placed in. I am wondering if some of you can help to assess my chances of landing one of the jobs I will list at MEPS.

Here is my background information:

ASVAB: 78 QT, 80 General
Education: Bachelors in International Relations from Top 10 University
Work experience: 2 years post-college as a Paralegal

I'm going in open general and will meet with a job counselor at MEPS. Ideally, I would prefer a guaranteed job. My recruiter has not discussed this option to me, instead he has mentioned that I will be going in open general. Now, considering my decent ASVAB, educational pedigree, and work experience, how likely is it that I will obtain at least 1 of the intelligence positions I plan to list at MEPS? Below are the jobs I plan to list:

1.Operations Intelligence Specialist
2.Geospatial Intelligence
3.Air Borne Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Operator and Space System Operations
4.Network Intelligence Analyst Specialist
5.Electronic Signals Intelligence Exploitation
6.Communications Signals Intelligence
7.Air Borne Battle Management
8.Aerospace Control and Warning Systems
9.Electronic Systems Security Assessment
10.Open General

Please keep in mind that I believe I don't have much bargaining power since I want to join the Air Force ASAP. I simply do not want to be given a job such as security forces, services, or loadmaster. There isn't anything inherently wrong with those positions, they just aren't for me and I know I wouldn't like it.

Coming off prozac - 2 weeks on....?

Hello lovely helpful sorts.
I'm 23/f, coming off prozac currently. I've been on 20mg for a year and a half or so for depression/anxiety. I also lost my dad last summer and felt it best to stay with the medication for this reason. Im in a good place in my life now, uncertainty regarding work etc but honestly average life material i feel i can healthily cope with. With the advise of my doctor, i cut the dosage down to 20mg every other day and then every third. i did this for around 3 weeks and have been compleately clean of it for about 2 weeks now. Rather suddenly i was overcome with a deaply disturbing bout of darkness and this hasnt eased for the past 48 hours. I feel mild paranoia, tiredness, sickness, detachment and a general sence of unease in my farmiliar surroundings. Also i have been thinking about my father, hes in my dreams and i have become very tearful. Do you think these sound like withdrawel symptoms? It all came on so suddenly that im a little worried. Many thanks
