Hello How Can I Prevent Adds From Appearing In Yahoo Inbox While Using Safari A.

How do I stop ads from popping up on my Yahoo account while I am checking my mail?

Although pop-ups and other ads help pay for free sites like Yahoo, they are a bother to us all. Block ALL pop-ups, pop-unders, banners, and other ads FOREVER with add-ons for any site and any browser.

First, enable the pop-up blocker for your browser, The exact method is different in each browser, but it is Tools > Internet Options > Privacy in IE, Tools > Options > Content in Firefox, and under the wrench (gear) in Chrome.

Add-ons for different browsers:(for Windows users:)

(Also consider Flashblock and NoScript for more blocking and security as well as speed. These can be turned on for individual sites, or just temporarily.)

How can i stop unwanted ads appearing in my in mail box ,stating sponsored ,but can not be deleted?

Those are Yahoo "sponsored" spam advertisements, and "so far" no one has figured out how to get rid of them.

(Adblock will NOT stop the "sponsored" ads.)

Yahoo has made them "un-deletable", because they get paid every time it is clicked on---(hence the $ symbol).
You will just have to learn to ignore them.

This is what Yahoo has to say about "their sponsored emails"--------"Free Yahoo! Mail is made available in part by the advertising you view while using our site".

The sidebar of ads on my Yahoo mail in-box is driving me nuts. How can I remove it permanently?

You can download ad blockers at the links below or upgrade to Yahoo Mail Plus. The cost is $19.99 per year.

Why do people still use the Bing or Yahoo search engines instead of Google?

I answered why I use Bing in the other post: Eric Zheng's answer to Which search engine do most Microsoft employees use?Copy/pasted here:I use Bing on desktop/laptops. I use whatever the default browser is in Safari on my iPhone and iPad.I purposefully choose Bing over Google on desktop/laptops because: on google.com, after I type the first letter in the search box, the search box jumps from the center of the window to the upperleft corner. Such a jump is a poor user experience. It is counter-intuitive. Normally, user's expectation of a textbox's behavior is: it will stay there as long as I am still typing, until I either change the focus (by pressing "tab" or mouse clicking elsewhere) or press "enter". The textbox should not spontaneously move while I am still typing. It is very distracting and annoying.Maybe such behavior can be turned off. But since Bing gives me satisfactory search result all the time, why bother spending time to figure out how to change Google's default behavior?Btw, I use Google Maps all the time. Because Bing Maps is inferior. Lots of times when I use the same words to search for a place, Bing Maps couldn't find it but Google Maps could. The only caveat of Google Maps: it's a bit too smart. It knows when roads are closed. For example, some roads in some national parks are closed till May or June. Today when I plan the road trips in the summer to/in/through these parks, Google Maps thinks the roads are closed. I have to use Bing Maps in this case.

How can i stop advertising emails coming to my inbox through yahoo?

If you are using IE it would seem
you can't stop them. As suggested by other members I
installed adblock plus, but that junk still keeps coming
although some members have posted that adblock works with
firefox. In my opinion It's just a Yahoo scheme to sell us
up to add free Yahoo mail at $49.95 and also for them
to increase advertising revenue. You can't delete them
although they do self destruct in a short time. It would
appear that Yahoo cares less about anyone using their
standard mail service I've stopped using my Yahoo email
except for YA, newsletters and file storage and have started
using hushmail and windows live mail both are spam free and
free and neither sticks those obnoxious ads in your mail
box.
Here's the Yahoo nonsense on that subject

How to block out unwanted ads on my yahoo mail page?

While it is not currently possible to remove the ads for free accounts in Yahoo! Mail, you can now temporarily hide the advertisement that appears on the right side of your Yahoo! Mail window. Click the narrow gray strip between your inbox and the advertisement. This hides the ad from view while you stay on the page. Once you refresh the page or visit another Yahoo! Mail page, another ad appears.

There is not currently a way to hide the full-page ads that appear when you empty a folder, or on the Sent Confirmation page.

Please note that Yahoo! Mail is made available in part by the advertising you view while using our site. While it is our utmost goal to choose ads that are pleasing to all users, we understand this may not be the case at all times and apologize for any frustration this may cause.

Note: In some versions of Yahoo! Mail, like Mail Classic and Mobile, it is not possible to hide the ads.

If you would like to remove all graphical ads and advertising links from your mailbox, you can sign up for Yahoo! Mail Plus, our premium service, if it is available in your region.

How do I stop 'sponsored' ads at the top of inbox emails? The left hand box i has a 'S' symbol so I can't even delete or record as spam?

In this case, your Random access Memory is not enough to display the pics and or if downloading these pics from the Internet, your Internet is probably very slowly and having small bandwidth where Internet Explorer cannot determine the character set that is used by the Web page, or a file or registry key required to display the Web page with the appropriate character set may be missing or damaged. By default, Internet Explorer uses the character set that is specified in the HTTP content type that is returned by the server, the character set specified by the Meta element in the Web page document, or your Encoding preference if no HTTP content type is returned by the server and no Meta element is specified in the Web page document. Make sure you have enough memory and bandwidth.

How can one track whether a sent email was read? I’m using gmail.

You put a lot of efforts framing an email, and hitting send should not be the end of it. Being able to monitor email opens is a good thing. It can give you great insights into recipient’s engagement level and behavior. Many tools solve this given problem but here are my top pics:SalesHandyIt is the easiest to use and cost-effective tool for email tracking. It provides free unlimited email tracking and scheduling. It enables desktop notifications about email opens and also offers data for user’s location, browser and device used to view the email. It also comes with a host of other features like Team Template sharing, Document tracking and Mail Merge campaign with auto follow-up. It has both Gmail and Outlook plugin, and other ESP users can use SMTP settings to configure through SalesHandy.YeswareIt is a popular option but a more comprehensive tool. Their free plan allows tracking 100 emails every month. It is a bit costly as compared to other available options. They provide prescriptive data that helps sales team forecast consumer behavior and focus on warm leads. One can select to load messages into a CRM software using Yesware automatically.BananaTagTheir free plan covers tracking of 5 emails per day. It can be used for external communication as well as communication within the team. They encourage interested parties to obtain real-time data on employee engagement, using their platform. Apart from tracking email opens and attachment, it also provides analytics on the activities of the emails tracked. It has plugins available for Gmail and Outlook.SidekickIt is developed by the team at HubSpot and helps users remain hyper-connected with their contacts. Its central functionality encompasses tracking when and where an email was opened and what device was used. But it differentiates itself by generating profiles of the connections. They display contact’s professional history in the inbox. Using their free plan you can track 200 open/click notifications per month.GetNotifyTo track an email using GetNotify you need to manually add the suffix - getnotify.com at the end of each recipient’s email address. Its free plan allows tracking 150 emails per month (5 emails per day), 6 months of email content backup and personal page on their website where you can access tracking history. It’s not that user-friendly as compared to its larger competitors but it gets the job done.

Can someone hack my email? If so, how can this be prevented?

The short answer, yes and ultimately it can't be prevented. The long answer. I presume you do not host your own e-mail server, but the things about hacking e-mail can also be applied by your own mail server.Mail is usually retrieved by either POP or IMAP, protected by a username/password combination. By default these are sent in the clear. That means that when someone is sniffing your internet connection she can amazingly simple retrieve that combination. Responsible mail providers force your mail client to use encrypted connections, but the number of responsible mail providers is sadly low. The two big one, Google and Microsoft do it. If you are not sure your mail provider does this, ask them, and ask them to implement it. Encryption won't prevent hacking, but it makes retrieving the username/password combination so much more difficult.Use a complex password. Complex means long, the longer the better, use upper and lowercase characters and some interpunction. You can use words in your password, just use more than one, preferably not related words, and use some other characters in it than letters and numbers. An example of a strong password:theDogsAero44planeMars$tiansThat is strong, yet easy to remeber. It is strong in that it uses upper and lowercase characters, numbers and another character. It doesn't use substitution, like $ for s, or ! For 1, but it interrupts the words with them.If your mail provider doesn't support long passwords, ask for them to implement them. The bad news is, someone can access e-mail without accessing your e-mail account. That is done by sniffing internet connections. Since the standard way mail servers communicate with each other is in plain text, not encrypted, the mail is sent as human readable text. This is something that your e-mail provider can easily fix, ask them about it. Again the two biggest e-mail providers send mails encrypted, if the receiving mail server supports that.Use your mail clients spam protection, really, and never, ever, really never, click on links in e-mails you don't trust. Best is to never click on links in e-mail.You can use two factor quthentication, but not all mail clients support that.Even woth all these precautions, hacking can not be prevented, it can be made very difficult, tremendously difficult even, but total prevention of hacking is, as yet, not possible.

What does "Active k minutes ago" mean on Facebook Messenger? Is this the time last active on Facebook, or Messenger, or something else?

For the most part the "last active" notification for a given Facebook user in Facebook Messenger is totally bogus/irrelevant. I've researched this topic out of simple curiosity.Believe it or not people have actually ended long-term relationships based on that simple notification, believing their significant-other was ignoring them or worse yet seeing other people behind their backs. LOLSee link: https://m.facebook.com/help/comm...From what I was able to gather from the most skilled Facebook users it's merely an indication of the last time a message was posted to that Facebook user's Messenger account, often when their mobile device was idle with the Messenger app running in the background. Like when a person is asleep while their phone is charging.People who would breakup over such things without giving their loved one the benefit of the doubt aren't really grownup enough for adult relationships in the first place. In my opinion. Ha ha ha
