I did push ups yesterday and now my ribs hurt?!?
Pushups put a lot of strain on the abdominal muscles. If you do a lot of pushups, your legs, shoulders, triceps, and chest should all be sore the next day, but after a few workouts, the soreness will completely go away. Pushups are very different than a bench press, because they require the use of a lot of stabilizer muscles that don't really get worked out on a weight bench. Wait a couple of days, and then do some more pushups- this will stretch your abs will help get rid of the soreness.
