Help About Rodeo Tranny

I have a 95 Isuzu Rodeo with a 5 speed manual tranny and it won't go into 1st or 2nd gear, any ideas?

This is a 4wd. There was no problem with the tranny until my wife loaned the truck to a friend of hers. Of course we got it back broken! It will shift into all the other gears but not 1st or 2nd. The shifter sits right on top of the tranny. I've pulled the tranny, but would like a little insight prior to tearing it apart. Also, I would like a schematic and gaskets, but I can't seem to find either. Autoparts stores say I have to purchase the rebuild kit to obtain the gaskets, but I'm disabled and can't afford over $400.00 for the rebuild kit. Does anyone have a clue as to what the problem could be and/or where I could get the gaskets that would be needed when I put the case back together? Thanks...

How many quarts of auto tranny fluid does a 1994 Isuzu Rodeo require ?

call your local auto parts store autozone or kragen they usually have those measurements in their computers. If not look in your chilton or haines manual.

Where is the transmission dip stick for a 2000 isuzu rodeo?

Your vehicle does not have a dipstick . The way you check the level is you run the tranny in park until operating temp. is reached then there is a plug in the tranny pan pull out just tha middle of it and if fluid comes out your full. It is pretty easy if you have a hoist.

What type of transmission fluid does the 2002 isuzu rodeo take, with a v-6 automatic 4-wheel drive?

dexron III. I looked it up on autozone.com. There is no other choice for that vehicle unless manual.

Whats the BEST easiest way to remove all the 17mm tranny bolts on a 1999 Isuzu Rodeo's automatic transmission?

I am pulling my automatic to replace it with a factory GM new tranny, mine has 180,000 and lost 3rd and slips into OD,so i am not a novice, but this one is pure torture and in such a compact working area against the firewall - so I am seeking out what is the best easiest process, hopefully there is an alternative way or homemade type tool trick to aid in pulling it with less misery. It's a 1999 3.2 V-6 two wheel drive Isuzu Rodeo with the extra adapter valve body on it,,a GM 4L30E automatic, jeez man..there is literally no room to hardly even touch the bell housing 17mm bolts holding the tranny to my 3.2 v6 block, please tell me i don't need to pull my engine and tranny as a unit to accomplish this knuckle skinning task ahead of me..wally b.

Transmission swap from a 1999 rodeo and a 2000 trooper?

one small problem you have two solenoids in this that were changed between 99 and 00 that are the torque converter solenoid and the electronic pressure control solenoid which means wiring and computer might be different if you were to change over and leave everything the way it is will have shifting and torque converter problems as for the bell housing the pump is also part of the housing so best bet talk to trans shop and see if they'll help out (no aamco)

Can bad (really bad) O2 sensors cause transmission fail safe mode?

Our 2000 Isuzu Rodeo is in transmission fail safe mode, but the OBDII is only giving codes for bad O2 sensors (we've known these are bad all along) - could the bad O2 sensors cause the transmission fail safe mode? The transmission shop we had the tranny rebuilt at a year ago said there isn't anything wrong with the transmission - it's in fail safe mode because of something electrical - could this be it? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!
