Help Astro Headset Not Working

Will my Astro A10 gaming headset work on the Xbox 1?

According to ASTROGaming.com…yes it absolutely should be compatible, the A10 headset is made to be compatible with the Nintendo Switch, Xbox one, PS4, PC, Mac, and even mobile devices. After looking at the QuickStart guide for the A10, it’s a bit simpler to set up than the A40/A50 headset. You simply need to plug the inline volume control cable into the headset, then attach the other end into the 3.5 MM port of the Xbox one control. The only caveat being that if you are using an older generation Xbox one control, you will need to purchase the ASTRO M60 mixamp.

If I'm going to buy a gaming headset should I buy the Astro A40 or Astro A40 Tr?

Considering that Astros are very well known in the E-sports community, I would say that this is a good choice of a headset. Also considering that both of these astros having little to no difference in pricing, I would choose based off of User reviews and your color preference. I also have to ask, are you buying the mixamp for the headset? If you aren't, these will most likely not be the best budget gaming headset out there, due to the Mix amp being one of the prime reasons that they are commonly bought. Now besides that, the decision is yours. Without the mix amp, the headsets are running for around 150$ a pop, but with the mixamp, it is around 250$. It comes down to whether or not there are deals, color preference, if you are buying a mix amp, and if you would consider looking at other brands. I would recommend getting the Astro A40 TR due to the TR Version being the new generation, the fact that the mic quality is better than the original, and the TR Mixamp allows for full customization of the Headset/mic settings.I've recently just bought a pair of the Hyper X Cloud II off of Amazon, with great reviews and deals, this might change your perspective on what brand you may actually want to buy. The Hyper X Cloud II were rated as one of the best quality headsets and they run for a round 100$ but more than likely, there are deals happening. Just check it out and try to decide. If budget isn't a problem, then go with Astros, but if it is, I would say that a different brand such as Hyper X might do the job just right. Thank you for this question! This was my 18th answer on Quora and follow/Upvote me if this had any help to you whatsoever. I hope your gaming experience improves with whatever headset you choose to buy and Thanks again! Set some new years resolutions and work towards your dreams man!

Turtle Beach MW3 Foxtrot Headset Not Working?

I recently bought the mw3 foxtrot headset from Gamestop. I use it for MW3, and it seems to be working fine, but ever since the new mw3 update, people tend to not be able to hear me well. They say I sound really quiet. Before the last update, it worked fine. I also have a bluetooth headset that I use every once in a while. I always have the chat volume, game volume, and bass to the max. Sometimes this happens to my PS3 bluetooth headset with the volume to the max. Was this caused by the latest update? How do I fix it?

Are the Astro Headsets the best or worst ?

ive noticed a couple of reviews about the astros, some people say they are great some people say they suck. I need a headset that can give me good audio feedback (because im a competative gamer) and something that feels comfortable if im going to put it on for a long period of time. Give me some suggestions

Will Astro gaming headsets work with an iPod or Windows phone 7?

From their manual, they have a connector for a PC and additional cables for connecting this to a 3.5mm mini-jack. This can plug in to the iPhone or Windows Phone 7 devices. It would likely work on any android device as 3.5 mini-jacks are industry standard. You only get stereo audio and the microphone doesn't do anything as the jack is output only.

A full sized headset does use a lot more power than the smaller ones, so battery life is a lot shorter and volume might be limited. They are also more trouble to carry around than smaller ear-bud types. Hence the A30s are smaller and lighter. If you are using the devices for gaming, you might find the cables to be annoying -- you need to hold the (relatively small) devices and large heavy cables may not be convienient.

Honestly, such a headset would be complete overkill for a phone. If you use it at home on your PC maybe its fine to carry around, but I think you'll find lugging them around is a hassle. You can put a cell in your pocket. As an alternative you might wish to look at wireless Bluetooth headsets. Many include stereo, you get the microphone capabilities, built-in power is likely better for volume and battery life, you don't have any cables to deal with, and you can put the device in your pocket while listening to music.

Why won't my headset work?

I know I am not supposed to “Answer” but I can’t figure out how to add additional information to my post. It isn’t a computer thing, but a mic thing. My whole headset and mic seem fine, but it just doesn’t work. When I do attempt to pull it out and put it back in again, it doesn’t work. I also try to pull out that middle peice that connects the microphone/headset to the computer, but only emits a small “Boom” sound, not working.

What can make my Plantronics headset microphone stop working?

It's hard to tell without knowing a model. But in most cases either the microphone is defective or a setting needs to be adjusted.

Why won't the microphone on my A50 Astro headset work for my Xbox 1?

That specific model have an optional base station that works with the Xbox One. As long as you have that you should be all set.

Xbox One Mic Not Working?

Hello,

I have a Xbox One with a Astro A50 wireless headset connected to it. In party chat, I can hear everyone fine and they can hear me. When I play a game that was originally on Xbox 360 but it was made available on Xbox One, my mic does not work in game. The megaphone symbol next to my name does not even show up. Any cause for this? Can Xbox One users not use a Xbox One mic on a game that is backwards compatible? Thanks!

Why won't my Astro A50 mic work with the Steam link?

Make sure the Steam Streaming Microphone virtual audio devices are enabled in the control panel under recording devices. (Right click on the system tray volume icon) Otherwise, I would recommend utilizing the wireless functionality of your headset and leave the base at your computer. You will get better sound as the Steam Link will only stream audio at 144 kb/s.
