HOW LONG DOES A VASECTOMY TAKE TO HEAL?

If all goes well give it at least a week. Mine was ok for awhile (pain-wise) and then I was in pain for months. I am now recovering from my latest surgery to correct the pain. I sincerely hope yours works out better than mine. Good luck

Physics: Impulse and Momentum of a Bike Rider?

Could someone please explain how to do this physics problem? I'm a little confused. :( Thank you!

A 80.0 kg rider sitting on a 10.0 kg bike is riding along at 9.7 m/s in the positive direction. The rider drags a foot on the ground and slows down to 7.7 m/s still in the positive direction.

a. What is the change in momentum of the rider and bike?
b. What is the impulse delivered by the ground to the rider's foot?
c. What force is acting on the bike and rider if slowing down took 8.5 seconds?
d. And, how far did the bike and rider travel during these 8.5 seconds?

I just failed my English poetry test, my retake is tomorrow. Why do I feel so useless, worthless, hopeless and why won't my brain try to study harder. I'm just stuck there thinking about failing again?

My answer to you is because your identity lies in your performance and that is why you feel useless and hopeless etc. If you fail at something you will feel all those kind of emotions. Your identity lies in the wrong place. Your performance is not who you are. You are so much more than this. In life when we meet others they ask what do you do? What is your job? We all do it but our job is not who we are either. What we do is not who we are. Learning more about yourself and asking questions and living life every day helps you find your identity. Give life experience time to show you who you are. That you are of value and worth just because you exist and are alive Spirit, Soul and Body. I have a faith in God but even if you don’t believe in a God, believe in a higher power within the universe that is for you, not against you. Believe that you are fearfully and wonderfully made. That you are enough as you are right now with no effort or achievement on your part. Just being alive is enough and God/your higher power is smiling down on you. Learn to become self-aware and be thankful. Volunteer and start giving yourself and your time to others, help others. Decide to be a good listener. Everyone needs a listening ear. Look outwards because in looking out and finding out about others we also find ourselves and our own identity. Failing in life can be a catalyst for change and much growth. Never fear failure but let the experience help you learn from it and grow up.A life of purpose

Fear of Welding. HELP?

The first thing covered in the course, before you ever handle a "stinger", is information on all of the equipment, hazards, and safety. There are a number of safety concerns, the biggest, being proper ventilation. I am sure your welding stations will have proper exhaust fans that meet code for eliminating the dangerous fumes that are generated. The danger of welding flash, as you mentioned, which creates a sort of sunburn on the eyeballs, is also a danger. The shade 10 or 12 lenses that you will use will obviate the concerns you have for your eyes. Burns from hot flying slag is another concern. Proper leather aprons, chaps and gloves will mitigate the danger of burns.

Welding voltages are generally about 15 to 30 volts and there is no possibility of electrocution. I have occasionally felt a "tingle" when I was welding outdoors in really wet conditions when I accidentally came into direct contact with the electrode, but that is a very rare occurrence and of no concern.

I once had molten slag go down my neck and roll down my torso where it ended up at my navel, but although significantly painful at the moment, no harm was done. This was mostly from welding in an awkward, overhead position, without proper attire. If you use a leather beanie on your head and good neck covering, this problem should not occur.

Just make certain that the instructor addresses all of these issues with a good safety briefing and has good answers as to how all of these potential hazards are mitigated. If he/she doesn't, be sure to ask about all of your concerns point-by-point. If the instructor throws safety concerns to the wind, then you might want to consider dropping the course and finding a better instructor. As I first mentioned, my biggest fear is the fumes. You should never weld in "still" air without an exhaust fan and properly located hood that has a cfm rating in accordance with code.

So many Indian Dentists/Doctors?? Why?

Not that that's a bad thing. I'm half Indian, so it's nice to know I have at least half a brain. But at all the dental offices I've been to, 70% of the dentists seem to be Indian (well, South Asian). Same thing to a lesser extent at hospitals. They're NEVER the nurses/assistants, always the ones with the MDs and DDS's.

Why is this? And I'm in America, so don't start with "Maybe because you're in Mumbai", smartasses. lol

Do Indians just possess a gene that makes them really, really love toothpaste? (Certainly not applicable to me, I hate going to the dentist, wonder if I should blame my other Norwegian half).

Do Indians inherently possess extremely high IQs?

Can't ask my father, he's passed.
