Can you have a sloth as a pet?
I can't imagine where you'd find one, but if you live in CA, it's apparently legal, along with anteaters and armadillos. Sounds like a bad idea to me. I can't imagine why you'd want a wild animal for a pet, let alone one with dangerous claws, that moves so slowly it grows algae.

I love sloths too - I think though that even if they were available to everyday people like us, they would be difficult to house, and probably not all that exciting once the novelty wore off. To be honest, as someone who has dealt with issues of motivation, the only thing I've discovered is chemicals. Antidepressants, if you can find the right ones work wonders. But there are numerous over the counter remedies that are surprisingly effective. Rhodiala Rosea can be purchased at most any vitamin shop and is essentially like an all natural adderal. Not as potent and not addictive, but it will increase energy and focus. Unlike many stimulants, which cause anxiety,'Rhodey' as I call it, actually helps with anxiety. It is considered an 'adaptogen' helping the body adapt to stress. There exist other energy boosting supplements at the vitamin shop. Some work better than 'rhodey', but, at least for me, tend to make me anxious after too many days taking it. But for long term use, I think Rhodiala Roses is where it is at. If you can get a prescription, modafonil can boost one's energy and focus without the addiction, anxiety and other side effects of amphetamine stimulants, but depending on your insurance (if you have it) can sometimes be costly.
