Help I Forgot To Plug In My Adapter

I lost my piano adapter. On the back of it where the plug in is it says... "DC 9V" were would I buy one?

Some computer stores or electronic shops may have Dc 9V adapters, but you also need to know the required current (Amps or "A") for the device. You cannot use a 9VDC 0.5A adapter with a device that needs 9VDC 2.0A, it will overload the lower current adapter. However, you can use a 2.0A adapter for a device that need only 1.0 or 0.5A, it will just run at 1/2 load (and run cooler)

Lost my adapter for my portable piano?

Next to the power jack on the keyboard it should say the voltage and amperage it wants. The easiest solution is to pick up a universal adaptor from any electronics store and set it to the correct value. If you're unsure, just take the keyboard into Radioshack and ask them what kind of adaptor it needs.

Or, you can order a replacement directly from Yamaha. Here's the link:

Look for the section "Need to order a part or a manual for your Yamaha product?"

Help! need an ac adapter!?

My wife has an Avon fiber optic snowman from 2002, somehow she lost the plug for the ac adapter. Right now there is a cord coming from the snowman that would plug into a normal plug that you would plug into the outlet ( hope that makes sense). The cord coming from the snowman has a 2 pronged end on it, one looks like a regular prong, the other looks like a pin. I need the end that you plug into the wall but can't find it anywhere. Are these standard? any help would be great! Thanks

Where can I buy a power outlet adapter for my American laptop in Venice, Italy?

I forgot to bring a power adapter to Italy. My laptop has a different outlet plug and won't plug into Italy's wall sockets without an adapter. I don't need a converter because my laptop will accept between 100 - 250 V.

I would prefer to buy one at an electronics shop. Are there any electronics stores in Venice, Italy? I tried looking for one but was unsuccessful. Please provide an address and/or the store's website. Thanks!

A Venezia, dove compro un adattatore di alimentazione per il mio computer di Stati Uniti, per favore? Si prega di includere un indirizzo. Grazie!

If I leave my power cord plugged into the power outlet without connecting it to my device, will it still be charged in my monthly bill?

I always leave my chargers plugged in all of the time.  Yes, they d0 draw power and may draw enough to make your electric meter tick over one more or several KWH, so you will probably pay more on your electric power bill.  But think of all of the things you have plugged in for your pleasure and convenience already.  You don't unplug an electric clock every time you leave the house or even when you go on vacation.  You may leave a "night light" on in various parts of your house, especially if you have little children or leave a few lamps on in your house when you leave to make your house look like someone may be home.  And many people run decorative lighting inside and outside of their house, and more for the Christmas season or for Halloween.  You probably don't have just one room light on at a time but have several on.  There are lots of ways we use electricity for our pleasure or convenience, and I consider it to be a convenience to not have to get under my desk to plug in the chargers over and over.  Sure, you could mount several power strips on the wall at waste height so you don't need to climb under the desk, but that will probably be ugly.  I wouldn't worry about the power draw of chargers.  It is getting to be less and less nowadays anyway.

Attempting to Authenticate Windows 7 Help?

I'm using a Linksys AE2500 network adapter, and just a couple days ago, it stopped connecting to the wifi. Windows notices it's plugged in, and it's capable of finding various wifi signals, but when I click connect it says unable to connect reset your network adapter. I have tried with no avail, and it also says "Attempting to Authenticate" in "Manage Wireless Adapters".
