Help I Have Lumps On The Left Side Of My Neck

Lump in left side of my dogs neck?

Not to scare you, but my dog has a lump that I never even noticed. Vet found it when they went to take blood. Is on the left side of her throat as well. Was hard to feel because of all the loose skin and hair there. Turns out to be a thyroid tumor (cancer)
In your case, It could however, be something as simple as a fatty cyst or even an abcess. Definitly go and have it checked out.
Good Luck!

Small lump the left side of my neck?

Most definitely a swollen lymph node if it's a fairly size able lump. If it's small enough and you can touch it with just your finger tip, it could just be a swollen gland (similar to a pimple, but bigger than your typical pore and doesn't form a whitehead). If it's a gland, it will probably just be a small, raised area of the skin that feels kind of like a hard, little bump that may be itchy or hurt (especially if you've been pressing on it a lot). Swollen glands are similar to pimples in that they are raised generally when they are clogged by oils or dirt...but mostly they're caused by hormones (just like pimples!)

I'd give it a week to maybe a week in a half for it to go away. If it doesn't go away in that time or if it begins to give you symptoms of an illness, I'd go see a doctor right away. If it's a large lump like a lymph node, it would certainly require medical help. Google images of lymph nodes and see if it compares!

Lump on right side of my neck....?

Dont get too scared :-) I know its hard. Cancer is the worst scenerio out of many possibilities (noncancerous tumors, cysts, infections. . .). Even in the case of cancer, treatments have really improved so try not to worry before you know what you are facing. Go to the doctor to rule out anything serious. Some people have lumps for years, dont check them out and they mysteriously go away. Nevertheless, its important you get checked out to be safe. From personal experience, here is what will prob happen.

The doctor will feel your lump and ask you questions then give you anibiotics to see if the lump goes away. If it does not, they will likely order a ct scan to see if thats the only lump and xray to get a better look. If the doctors feel it could be a tumor after the scans, they will do a biopsy. This happens over a period of a few weeks.

In most cases, the lump is nothing serious. However, I found a lump a couple years ago near my neck that did end up being lymph node cancer, hodgkins disease, but i am healthy and in remission now. It definately can be beat :-)

I wish the best for you. You can email me with any questions. I would love an update too to see how things are going.

I have two lumps on the left side of my neck. I'm very worried. What could they be?

I went to the doctor to have them looked at. They are not that noticeable-- about the size of a grape. One is right under my hairline, an inch to the left of my spine, and the other is four inches under my ear and to the back one inch. They are not going down in size; I do not have an infection, as a blood test confirmed that my numbers are normal. If these are not lymphatic, and are, indeed, tumors (they are mobile and not that painful) is there still a chance it could be cancer? Or would it have shown up in the blood test? I am going back in two weeks if they have not gone down in size (I just noticed them last week), but I am still very worried... have any of you experienced a similar situation? For further details: I am 5'8", 120 pounds, athletic, and otherwise a normal healthy 20-year-old... so this is strange to me.

What could a lump on the right side of my neck near my jaw be? It doesn't really hurt but it's just weird.

Its likely a swollen lymph node. This would typically indicate something is wrong. Generally it would happen if you get sick. Doctors look for this when making certain diagnosis'.I am not a medical professional however, and this is in no way an alternative to proper medical advice. I recommend seeing a doctor, especially if the lump doesn't go away or gets worse. Better safe than sorry.

Why do I have a lump in my neck?

There are many things that could manifest as a lump in your body. It could be a harmless lipoma to a malignant lymphoma. There are some features that may suggest that a lump is malignant or not. If it has fast onset and rapid growth; If it has hard consistency; If it is adhered to deep tissues (rather than mobile), the chances of it being malignant are greater. But that's not enough for you to sleep peacefully at night.Anyway it is highly recommended that you seek a doctor to assess fully the lump, perhaps with imaging and biopsy. It would be irresponsible to rely solely on information you got from strangers on the internet.

Lump on left side of neck, gets bigger and smaller in size?

I know that nobody wants to hear go to a doctor to get it checked, but it may be helpful in a further diagnosis of the lump. I would say that its more than likely a swollen lymph node either from infection or a cold? If you've been sick for awhile this could be a good answer and then theres nothing to worry about. On the other hand if it seems to have appeared out of nowhere it could have a small posibility of being cancerous. I know that I've had swollen lymph nodes before and they've gone down and up in size, but usually they go away after awhile. If they continue to persist for a long period of time I would suggest that you go see a doctor. Its really not that big of a deal in most cases so don't be too worried! Good luck to you!
