Help I Was Selling Merchandise To A Guy He Stopped The Payment On Check After He Collected Cash

I'm selling an item on Letgo and the buyer wants me to ship it to him after payment is confirmed via PayPal, is this safe or am I being scammed?

It depends entirely on what your item is.Is it something you previously specified had to be collected, electric goods, large goods or expensive items? How did you plan to get the item to your buyer originally? What did you specify in your advert? If the buyer receives it and changes their mind, or isn’t happy with it for whatever reason, how easily can you arrange it’s return to you again? One of the more well known scams works like that for large and/or expensive objects - the seller originally lists as collect only but the buyer pleads a sob story for a courier to collect and will pay by PayPal. Except the email the seller receives from ‘PayPal’ is a fake - and the seller only thinks to check their PayPal account manually after posting only up see there has been no payment and they’ve lost their money AND the item.Or an eBay past favourite was to receive the goods and then claim a problem either needing the seller to collect it ASAP or lose it, or just claim a PayPal reversal. If you haven’t booked & paid for the courier, they don’t have to provide you with any delivery information, whoever booked them is their client.Work out the best method of getting your item to a buyer, be it by post, courier or their collection in person, then price it up, add that additional cost to your listing as the P&P price or state it’s collection only. When you get a sale - including any pee-stated postage, manually check your PayPal account yourself to ensure the money is there. Then package & send the item. And get some insurance on it as well as keep your receipts too.

What happens if we reject COD (Cash on Delivery) orders from e-Commerce websites?

Cancellation experienceI had a friend of mine staying in goa...He had a curiousity of what would online portals do if there is consistent cancellation of cod orders...He started experimenting it...He ordered iphones, xbox, playstations etc on a regular interval of a week from same online site.Till he cancelled 4 products..it was okNext product...i.e 5th product he ordered was a cellphone of 13k...He got a phone call from the local delivery boy whether he wants it or not...Obivously local area delivery men had noticed his mischief...My friend said that he wanted it...when delivery was attempted at his house he asked his mother to refuse it....Now i think local delivery office would have made a complaint about him or company itself would have noticed it.But henceforth his account was blacklisted....many products were not displayed by his account...and he had no cod method available...This is what atlast can happen!!!!But not to worry he has logged in with another email id...He might try it with other online portal...iif he is still curious!!☺

Can you collect unemployment and sell stuff on Ebay?

I've been on unemployment for a good month now, desperately seeking a job. I recently started selling my personal belongings to gain some extra money to stay a float on Ebay. With the cost of shipping, Ebay fees, and Paypal getting there bite out of the money I made, do I have to file this income to unemployment?

Can I open the Flipkart packing and check whether I have got the right product or not before paying in cash on delivery?

No flipkart won’t allow you to open your product. My brother ordered moto g2 phone from flipkart (Cash on delivery). When my package arrived, my father was also there. My father has this concept chez dekh parakh ke liya karo. I requested the sales guy please open the box so i can see the product to which he rudely said pehle paise dedo phir jo karna hai kar lena package ke sath. Suddenly something came in my mind it was this post :Flipkart Allegedly Delivers Mangoes Instead Of Phone, Threatens To Keep Issue From Social Media . I argued a lot with salesperson and he threatens that he will take product back if that’s the case. I finally decided to give money to that person and received the product. The next thing- Bhaiya sign toh karwa lo. Salesperson-apne aap kar lunga. I immediately opened the product and yes it was moto g2 phone. Glad to see that.I do online shopping from both amazon and flipkart but i never faced this issue with amazon.

My husband is addicted to ebay website. what will I do to stop him bidding, wasting money?

I'm still a recovering eBay addict myself, but I'll share what worked with me... I started only allowing myself to spend what was available in my PayPal account from receiving payments for auctions on things I had sold, meaning if I wanted to buy something, I'd have to sell something first. It makes it so that eBay has no net effect on the monthly finances, plus it was a great way to get rid of unused/unwanted items that I had been hoarding.

I think that's why eBay is so popular, you have junk, but always seem to want someone else's junk. Why not trade =)

Good luck!

What happens if I don't pay Rent a Center?

They'll start calling you for the payment. Failing that, they start calling your references to get you to make your payment. Then they might start contacting your employer. If you still haven't made your payment, they'll start showing up at your home at different times of the day and night to either get their payment or collect their merchandise. This all happens within the space of the first week of you being a delinquent. They want to either square your account or get their merchandise back as quickly as possible. Eventually you'll be served papers to appear in court. At this point the judge will probably order you to pay immediately. I'm sure that by then returning the merchandise is out of the question since once it comes time for court it's only about money. Plus, they've already given you ample opportunity to return it, and you refused. If you can't pay immediately the judge may order your employer to garnish your wages until it's paid off. Finally, by now your credit is totally destroyed. Rent-A-Center was literally your last chance at obtaining credit. Good luck getting anyone to take a chance on you now.

Do credit card companies ever give up on collecting money you owe them?

My son kept getting offers from different companies and he signed up and was given a liberal credit limit. He had a good job at the time, but has been laid off now and can't pay even the minimum. We get about 5-10 calls daily from different collectors. Do they ever write off the debt?

Financing A Pet Purchase ..... What Happens If You Get Behind On Payments .....?

Of course the pet shop(because those are the only idiots who do that) will repo the dog. They can legally do it just like anyone else when you enter a situation where you are paying/renting to own. Its no different than a lease on a car or a a piece of furniture from Rent A Center.

ETA: Honestly its how people who REALLY know they can't afford a puppy end up with one.

example
http://www.puppiesunlimited.net/FINANCIN... With approved credit you can end up paying for that pup for 36 MONTHS! How broke do you have to be to have to take 3 years to pay for a puppy now dog in full?

bun: Its a piece of merchandise to these people. OF course they will repo it if they know that ultimately they won't get their money. HOWEVER the threat is enough incentive to keep people from missing payments.

What happens after 90 days if you don't pay Rent-A-Center?

What happens after 90 days if you don't pay Rent-A-Center?My idiot older son just had an encounter with Rent-A-Center after not paying his fees. And it doesn’t take 90 days for RAC to take action. The first business day the payment was late, RAC began calling him.A few days after that, an RAC truck pulled up to my house because he’d told them he lived with me. I made his payment for him because he wasn’t answering my calls, either.According to the manager I talked to when I made the payment, if they don’t get a payment or cannot pick up the rented items in the 5 business days after the payment is missed, the new company policy is to file a stolen merchandise complaint with the police. That means at some point, a nice policeman would be knocking on my door, looking for my son. I did warn him that if that happened, I WOULD tell the nice policeman where to find him. (He was living in an extended stay hotel at the time.)
