Help .iphone In Water

Water damaged iPhone! HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!?

Your best bet is to buy a cheap bag of rice from the grocery store. Stick your phone in there and wait 1-2 days. The rice will absorb the moisture and hopefully restore functionality. It's easy to tell if a phone has water damage so if they look for it they'll likely find it. If it comes down to it.....I dunno....flirt with him and hope he's a lonely nerd =P. Otherwise no bueno.

HELP!! Dropped my iphone in water!!!?

**Go to an Apple or AT&T store and ask to have the battery removed.

(1) IMMEDIATELY REMOVE THE BATTERY. VERY VERY IMPORTANT!
(2) As soon as possible (preferably within 20-30 minutes). dissassemble the phone using Torx T6 screwdriver. (Get this off eBay or service depots, etc) Make an emergency trip to Sears/RadioShack/ACE/service depot/etc.
(3) Clean/dry as much as you can, using Q-Tips
(4) Dry the electronics components under a desk lamp on a paper towel for 24 hours.
(5) Use a blow dryer, set on warm. Blow dry the phone. Make sure your battery and sim card are out of the phone.
(6) Put your phone in rice for 24 hours w/ battery and sim out
(7) Reassemble the phone
(8) Put back together
(9) Only now it's safe to put the battery back in.

You can also leave the battery and sim out. Leave your phone out in the sun. Let it dry.

Water in my iphone headphone jack?

Idk how water got in my headphone jack but i got pretty much all the water out. I put it in rice all night, i used tooth picks and Qtips but it still says its in headphone mode. I have a iphone 5c and i really really need help getting back to regular. Someone please please help.

I got water in my iphones headphone jack! help?!:(?

well i've accidentally left my iphone in my pocket to wash...

i just didn't turn it on and left it to dry (DO NOT TURN IT ON. DONT EVEN MAKE IT USE ELECTRICTY, JUST LEAVE IT IN SLEEP MODE)

and then it was fine.

just wait for the water to dry, takes like 3-4 days.

the reason it says "headphone jack" is because when it is inserted, there is an electrical current that runs from one side to the other. as you know, electricity goes through water quite well... there is obviously water on it still (not that you can wipe off though... let it AIR DRY!)

How does rice help a wet iPhone?

If your phone has been subject to liquid, remember time is of essence! Here’s a few steps you may want to take, soon as you realize it was subject to liquid:If your phone has a removable battery, open your phone and take out the battery, SIM card and any memory cards right away, and follow the next steps with each part separately. If it has a built-in battery, you want to first turn off the device and then you will need a screwdriver to open it up (don’t worry about voiding the warranty by opening it; that would’ve ended the minute water entered your phone and washed the water damage indicator with colour)Resist the urge to power up your phone to check if it works; turning it on can cause it to short circuit.Shake out as much water as you can.Wipe dry with a paper towel.Blow dry with a hair dryer on the cool air setting trying to blow water outward and not into the phone, keeping your phone at a safe distance from the dryer. Once again, make sure it is not subject to any heat.Vacuum as much water out of the phone as you can (again, keeping your phone at a safe distance from the vacuum. You should only rely on drying agents such as silica gel or rice to absorb the last few drops of residual moisture. Once you’ve gotten out as much water as possible, the silica gel or instant rice may be helpful, but make sure  you throw it in a sealed container and use a large quantity. And if you don’t have silica gel or rice available instantly, don’t worry! Just leave your phone in open air (if possible, close to a fan). It will work just fine too!Make sure you act fast, do not wait! The longer you wait, the longer the water sits inside, the greater the chances it will destroy the phone!

After water damage, my iPhone's camera won't work. Help!?

i work for verizon and sell iphones. if u get it wet, u are out of luck. applecare doesnt cover water damage. however, i have ran into this before. your iphone is covered under a one year warranty from time of purchase. There are two water damage indicators on the iPhone. One is down the headphone jack, the other is at the bottom where you charge your phone. If the indicators are red, they will not help u. If they are white, u are good, just call in to your provider and they will ship you a refurb. If your indicators are red, take a small paper clip, dip the end I'm white out, and carefully paint the imdicators white. It worked fine for me, no questions asked.
