Help Me About Writing

HELP! Copy reading & Headline writing ?

I am a reporter - and our bible is the AP Stylebook (Associated Press). It's better to buy this book from your local book store than to look it up online because the book is filled with the correct styles of writing, abbreviating and so on. There are several additions of this book and maybe you can even buy it on eBay, used, because not that much changes over the years it's published. All the symbols you need are called 'Proofreading Marks," in the The AP stylebook.

What do you like most about writing?

It's very relaxing, and I love it when my imagination starts rolling. Writing is easy enough to keep me de-stressed, and hard enough to keep me busy and my brain working.

Other sites that can help me with a writing question?

Honestly just keep using this site and block the negativity out, that's what I do.

The books and author "police' don't have any right to judge/bully us to the point where we want to leave.

If other people can ask about how to write a scene and not get bullied or ridiculed for it why can't we?

We have just as much of a right posting here like everyone else.

Oh and I suspect you probably know this by now but the level 7 trolls will continuously move your question to a less frequent category so it won't be seen.

Try:
Babynamegenie
Babynamewizard
If you are on wattpad try asking in a club
Babycenter has some good writing groups

What are some good books that can help me learn important writing techniques in English?

The Penguins collection is really usefulYou can try it out .

Can someone help me understand/help about writing a research paper?

Ok so I just made a research paper a few days ago.

GETTING YOUR SOURCES
Right off the bat you need to get your sources. Most teachers tell you you need about 4 sources. If your teacher didn't tell you how many you need, I recommend about 3. So first, you need to GET the sources. I don't recommend using internet websites as sources UNLESS you are positive that they are credible. NO wikipedia. Go to your library and get books on your topic. However, I did find some sources for you and I listed them below.

http://kidshealth.org/parent/positive/family/tv_affects_child.html
http://www.cnn.com/HEALTH/9908/20/kids.tv.effects/

NOTES
So now that you have your sources, you need to take notes. I suggest about 1 page (not front and back, just one side) of notes per source, but you can take more or less depending on how much you need.

OUTLINE
Now that you have your notes you need to create an outline. If you don't know how to, i'll explain here and leave links below. So, you need to have one main focal point for every 1-3 paragraphs. (Don't jump from point to point but have more than one idea). So you need to organize your outline by ides and then put bullets under each idea as sub-ideas. It should be pretty clear once you do that how to write it.

CITE YOUR SOURCES
Also, to cite your sources, you can use the websites that I put the links for below, too.
