Name of a fairy tale series on TV in the 90s?

"The 10th Kingdom" (2000)

A young woman named Virginia (Kimberly Williams) and her father, Tony (John Larroquette) are lured into a land where fairy tales are real! But the adventure is only beginning for the longer they stay in fairy tale land the more their lives become one. Written by Anonymous

Two centuries after Snow White and Cinderella had their adventures, the Nine Kingdoms ready themselves for the coronation of Prince Wendel, Snow White's grandson, to the throne of the Fourth Kingdom. But an evil once-queen has freed herself from prison, and turns the prince into a golden retriever. Wendel, by means of a magic mirror, escapes into a hitherto-unknown Tenth Kingdom (modern day New York City) and meets Virginia and her father Tony. Pursued by trolls, cops, and a wolf in man's form, the three blunder back into the Nine Kingdoms and begin their adventures to restore Wendel to his human form and throne, and find the magic mirror that will take Tony and Virginia back home, all the while unknowing that Virginia already has a connection to the Nine Kingdoms that may prove deadly before we reach Happily Ever After

What is the name of this classic book series?

The book is called Cranford, and it was written by Elizabeth Gaskell. It was first published in Charles Dickens' magazine called Household Words.

In Household Words the first part was called Our Society at Cranford. The second is Mr. Harrison's Confessions. The last chapter of Cranford was published in Household Words 10 years after the original and was called The Cage at Cranford (which is basically a sequel). Masterpiece included this, as this is the chapter where Peter returns. The Last Generation of England is actually a non-fiction short story which corresponds to, but isn't a part of, Cranford. Masterpiece Theatre also included Elizabeth Gaskell's novella, My Lady Ludlow, in this adaptation of Cranford.

It's rather confusing, but if you enjoyed The Masterpiece Theatre episodes of Cranford, which changed a lot of things, you might want to read the book called Cranford. It's actually very short and reads somewhat like a series of vignettes about the people of Cranford, with Mary Smith the narrator each time. Try to find a copy that includes The Cage at Cranford in it.

Note: One of things which was changed, besides specific events, was the fact that Masterpiece made it seem more like a cohesive whole instead of bits and pieces of the lives of the various characters in Cranford.

I hope this helps.

How did the Big Bang Theory (TV series) get its name?

All the episode names follow the same convention - it's always a vaguely scientific sounding name: "The [Something to do with the episode] [Some scientific word]"."The Big Bran Hypothesis""The Luminous Fish Effect""The Grasshopper Experiment""The Bat Jar Conjecture"I guess, the creators wanted to outline that, it's a show about geeks and their dynamics with the opposite sex.A similar show called 'The Theorists' was also made in Belarus picking up the same concept. Also, The Big bang theory is the most widely accepted and famous theory in science, particularly physics, so, it makes more sense.I believe they may also be playing on a double meaning of the word "bang", which Leonard wants to do to Penny

Where did the name Twilight for the Twilight book series come from?

Stephenie Meyer got the idea of the Twilight Saga because one night she couldn't sleep so she took sleeping pills. That night Meyer dreamed of the whole four books, not one, all of them! Meyer dreamed of the names of the characters one night, then the next she dreamed of the covers of the books. She called an artist to describe them to and draw them. She said the meaning of the Twilight hands were in Bella's holding the forbidden fruit which is in the Bible. The flower on New Moon is for the beauty in her life (Edward). The Eclipse cover, her life is on a thread. And, the Breaking Dawn cover is she moves from a low player to a higher player. Then, she improved it by adding other details. But the freaky thing is, Stephenie dreamed of everything: Forks, Washington, Bella's name, Edward, the meadow the Volturi. Are you sure they were sleeping pills Stephenie? Ok, good job. That makes sense. But I read that she dreamed about Edward and Bella in the meadow, and then she kept building on it. Eventually she had Twilight and then she just kept going and got New Moon and Eclipse. It really took her a while to write Breaking Dawn but she did and had to rewrite the ending like a thousand times. Then they were all published. Finally the idiot from Hollywood found the book in a shop in New York and brought it back to Hollywood thus the Twilight people cared about was born. When the movie came out it was so over done that half the people who liked it now hate it. Then New Moon came out and no one cared. And here we are. Thanks for reading. And actually it was once called Forks, but no one except for Meyer liked it so her publisher changed it to Twilight.

When putting the name of a series in an essay, do we need to italicize it?

One of my sentences in my essay is "The Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer is one of my favorite series."

Do I need to italicize "Twilight Saga", put quotations around it, or anything? By the way, the actual book names are Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn, NOT Twilight Saga. Thanks in advance.
