Help Me Summarise This Answer I Don

What is the best way to summarize all the answers to a question?

A wiki is helpful when there are many diverse answers to a question, and it's useful to see what the consensus is. Sometimes it's possible to read the answers and write a short summary, as I did in the wiki for this question:I found out my son broke into a neighborhood house. Should I write a letter (anonymously) apologizing to the home owner? He said he didn't steal anything and only snooped on their computers and wrote terrible emails from their online dating profile.I could have counted the responses in each category, but I didn't think it would add much value, and it would've become outdated if more answers were added after I wrote the wiki. (I wrote it when it seemed that any new answer was a variation on one of the established themes rather than presenting an entirely new thought. If someone came along with an idea not already included, they could add to the wiki.)For other questions every answer should be represented in the wiki, and the questioner asks that each person who answers add to the wiki, as in this question: Where are the 2013 Top Writers located? I wish someone had thought to start a wiki like that for What should every foreigner know about your country? With 679 answers, it's probably too late now, but if someone wanted to do it, it might go like this:Download all the answersWrite a script to find keywords identifying the country in each answerStart the wiki by listing the countries and number of answers for eachList the most commonly-mentioned features for each countryYou could go through that process manually too, but you'd have to be really dedicated. And that's why there are relatively few wikis. Questions with few answers don't need one, and it takes time to summarize a lot of answers.Edited to point out a truly epic wiki: What are some interesting startups in the education space? Why are they interesting? This question has 250 answers dating back to 2010, and the wiki is updated periodically by various users. As far as I can tell from the log, Charlie Cheever (Quora Co-founder) started the wiki.

Please help me Summarize this poem?

I'm summarizing this poem, but I don't really grasp what the 3rd stanza is saying/meaning. COuld anyone explain it to me?

“For A Father”.

With the exact length and pace of his father’s stride
The son walks,
Echo’s and intonations of his father’s speech
Are heard when he talks.

Once when the table was tall and the chair a wood
He absorbed his father’s smile
And carefully copied the way that he stood.

He grew into exile slowly
With pride and remorse,
In some way better than his begetters,
In others worse.

And now having chosen, with strangers,
Half glad of his choice
He smiles with his father’s hesitant smile
And speaks with his voice.

Can some one help me summarize chapters 5-8 on Witch of Blackbird Pond ?

My dear, why don't you just read the book? I just got finished teaching it to my 8th graders and they loved it, even the boys. Look at it this way:

-it's a book about a teenage orphan girl who:
-was once a little rich girl
-is thrust into a strange religion
-must learn how to work
-doesn't get along with her overbearing uncle
-is kind to a lonely old woman
-is different from everyone around her
-has the best clothes in town
-can't cook
-has two fabulous guys in love with her
-is in danger of being persecuted as a witch and needs a hero

What's not to like? Give the book a chance and just read it!!!!!!

Can someone summarise DSLRs for beginners?

Digital Single Len Reflex cameras. You look through a view finder and then via a prism, see through the lens. The closest thing to a SLR film camera.DSLRs allow for a variety of interchangeable lenses.DSLR come in a few different sensor sizes. Full frame which gives you a sensor the size of old 35mm film and Crop Sensors which are smaller than full frame.On a full frame camera, lenses are the same as on old film cameras. I.e. a 50 mm is like the the old 50mm.On crop sensors the effect of the lens is increases. Some of the most popular crop sensors are 1.6. So a 50mm lens becomes the equivalent of a 80mm.

How not to summarize?

don't add in every bit of detail about the plot, just pick out certain parts or quotes and explain how they show that. if it's a whole essay, you should make around 8 points and back them up. make sure you refer back saying "this shows how amir..." etc. however, if its just part of an essay, you should only make like 2 or 3 points. :)

Please help me summarize Tennyson's In Memoriam 54?

I don't really have a clue what this talking about. Can I plz hear you thoughts, opinions, and own summaries for this poem? Maybe I can compile them, and figure something out!

Alfred Lord Tennyson (1809-1892)

Oh yet we trust that somehow good
Will be the final goal of ill,
To pangs of nature, sins of will,
Defects of doubt, and taints of blood;

That nothing walks with aimless feet;
That not one life shall be destroy'd,
Or cast as rubbish to the void,
When God hath made the pile complete;

That not a worm is cloven in vain;
That not a moth with vain desire
Is shrivell'd in a fruitless fire,
Or but subserves another's gain.

Behold, we know not anything;
I can but trust that good shall fall
At last-far off-at last, to all,
And every winter change to spring.

So runs my dream: but what am I?
An infant crying in the night:
An infant crying for the light:
And with no language but a cry.

Thanks in advance for your help!
