Why does my sims 3 keeps crashing all of a sudden?
To stop crashing Sims 3, you shall delete the newly installed custom contents, if any. In addition to this, clear Sims cache as well. Following are the detailed steps: Delete the Newly Installed Custom Contents: - - - 1. Close The Sims completely. 2. Open My Computer. 3. Open the following directory: C:\Program Files\EA Games 4. Double click Downloads folder and delete all the files & sub-folders inside it. 5. Do the same here- Double click Mods folder and delete its contents. Clear the Cache: - - - 1. Close The Sims. 2. Hi, When my Sims 3 game stopped working ( after I uninstalled Sims 3 Supernatural ), I had tried the DEP, as well, which didn't work for me either. My Sims 3 loading screen was crashing repeatedly, even after I've re-installed my base game and my Expansion Packs. I've tried everything possible, and I did heavy, heavy, heavy research on Google. A lot of people had the same problem as me, but, the DEP always seemed to work for others, but not me. So, I hope I can help you. :) So first, I suggest you to remove any Sims 3 mods or custom content, and restart your entire Windows 8 laptop. And I'm guessing the Windows 8 laptop is not the problem, for you said the crashing began after you installed the 3 Expansion Packs. After you removed the custom content and restarted your computer, test to see if it works. I'm not sure which part of the Sims 3 is crashing ( the game, the loading screen, Create-A-Sim, etc. ) for you were not too specific, but I'm pretty sure this solution will work for all crashes. Okay, so go to your Library ( the "folder" icon where it shows your Pictures, Music, Downloads, Documents, etc. ). Go to your Documents. Go to the Electronic Arts folder. Go to The Sims 3 folder. There, you will see a few files. Some are .package files, some are .mdmp files. Ignore the .mdmp files. That(those) are(is) not the file(s) that are corrupting. Most likely the .package files are causing the crashing. In my case it was. So, remove all the files I am about to list below, simCompositorCache.package socialCache.package CASPartCache.package compositorCache.package scriptCache.package and... you're done... right? Nope. That's what I thought. I loaded my Sims 3 game and my loading screen continued to crash. I was SO frustrated. So... I decided to fiddle around and check the files to see if I missed any files to delete. So, go back to the Documents>Electronic Arts>The Sims 3 folder, and re-delete those files that I listed above. They automatically restore themselves when you load the Sims 3. So, in the Sims 3 folder, click on the DCCache folder, and remove the "dcdb0.dbc" file ONLY. Sims 3 game keeps crashing!?!?
I just got sims 3 dragon valley and ever since I download it my sims game has been crashing. I play it for about 4 or 5 minutes then it says "sims 3 not responding" then exits out to my desktop. I downloaded the game yesterday and that's when it started crashing. then I downloaded a new patch but i still keep getting the same results. I haven't played my sims in a couple days. do I have to uninstall my new game and then install it again or possibly uninstall my new patch?

When I am playing my sims 3 , the game freezes and after a couple of seconds the screen goes black but the sound remains. It worked fine for the first few months but not anymore. I tried to run in compatibility with windows vista but it gave me no option to do so. Please help , it is really annoying !

I just bought the Sims 3 for my laptop and shortly after i installed the update for it, it crashed after i try to play the game. Iv got a Dell Precision M4500 with with an Intel core i5, 4GB of ram, 64 bit operating system, and a Nvidia Quadro FX 880M video card. Why does it keep crashing? Iv also messed with compatibility settings for the game and still doesnt work.

I also pirated my copy of Sims 3. Are you sure you put the crack in the right folder? Usually you get an ISO and from there, a crack. Copy the said crack and paste it into your game directory (the place where you installed the actual game). You can get the most help by reading the comments from where you downloaded your torrent from.

Sims 3 Keeps Crashing in CAS & Stylist Mode?
I can't edit anything in CAS without it crashing! But in Stylist I can edit Swimwear, Sleepwear, Athleticwear, and Outdoorwear. Ivr already uninstalled all my games and reinstalled, i already tried deleting things and yet nothing works! I cant create a sim anymore without it crashing. Please help!

I don't know that much about the operation of Sims 3 on a PC, because I used to play Sims 3 on my iMac. I do know what the basic cause of crashes on my iMac was though. The basic problem is the bad memory management of Sims 3, the program leaks memory. I suspect that the underlying cause of the crashes on the PC is some memory problem as well.As for solutions, mine was to stop playing Sims 3 and go back to Sims 2, otherwise on the Mac one needs open terminal and then type sudo purge. So as to force the Mac to fix the memory space.On the PC, I have no idea, as I don't use PCs, sorry if you are using PC as I am of little help.
