Help Me With 3ds Max 2012.

Phy2skin for max 2012?

ok like the title say's i use this tool like years ago and i wanted to know if there was a 2012 version of it and if possible a tutorial on how to use it
hope some one can help n thnx in advance

lo que pasa es que ayer me descargue el 3ds max 2012 y lo active y todo pero cuando lo ejecuto me aparece esto: "the assembly C:/program files/autodesk/3ds max 2012/bin/assemblies/SceneExplorerView.dl... encountered an error while loading. it is possible taht this error put the aplication in a bad state. the aplication will continue to run, but we recomend quitting the application, removing the plug_in, and restarting"asi que continuo pero despues me aparece diciendo que hubo un error y se cierra ..... se lo que significa el mensaje ... ¡pero que plugin quiere que remueva???

3ds max geometry help?

I don't know what renderer your using for this so i will assume it is the default scanline renderer. If so, open the material editor (M) and choose "2-sided" from the options on the main page of it (if your using the classic ME). (see image link below) If you added a material to your object before your started making changes and deleted the outside of a thick object, this will happen. So you will have to select your entire model again and reapply the material to it again. But most times if you did not do that, just putting a check in 2-sided would fix it. If you have anymore issues, please send me the max file so i can help you further.

How to add images onto 3ds max plane?

First you create a material, and add the image as its diffuse map (you need to select a "bitmap" texture)
Next you assign the material to the object.
To show the image in the viewport, go back to the texture and click the checkers button in the horizontal button row.
If you need to re-align the image and don't want to rotate the object you can use a UVW map modifier on the object.

Which 3DS MAX version can I use under these settings?

You can use any version upwards of 2009, but this is a low-spec system to be honest and you'd be quite annoyed when you are working with 150k+ poly scenes or rendering them in your favorite renderer in 3dsmax. Nowadays with PBR rendering software like Keyshot / Marmoset, this can slow down quite a bit.Typical specs today would be an i7 Quad Core, 8GB ram, 4GB GDDR5 nvidia/ati and an SSD.

Can I work with 3ds max in 2GB RAM laptop?

no… atleast 16gb of ram for proper rendering

Cant make 3ds max 2012 animation?

"Nodes with the same name" pertains to the material editor. Change your material names accordingly. They cannot be the same name or Max will not read them correctly.

3ds max, how to render & save animation?

We just learned this recently in my Max class.
Open the render scene panel and select Range (instead of single). Make sure it is 0 to how ever many frames you have. the default is 100.
Then scroll down to Render output and click Files. You must select a place and name for it to save to other wise it won't save to the computer.
And then I believe you just click render. Watch out though, large scenes can take many many hours to render..

Can I use 3ds max student version to make models for a free mod?

So I have a student version of 3ds max 2012 and I made some really nice models in it... can I use these models for modding a free mod? and can I post renders on the internet?
