Help Me With My Drivers Ed Test

Drivers ed test.?

Driver's Ed goes over the content of what was taught in the classroom / training. In general, it should be preparation for what will be found on the Written Exam, issued by the DMV. In some cases, like Florida, they have at least partially replaced the need for the state to maintain their own written test for issuing a learner's permit. This would include the road signs, law, and penalties. Some states have several independent lessons / classes where distracted driving (texting, eating, cell phone, applying makeup, other things), Impaired driving (alcohol, drugs, fatigue [sleep], anger, frustration), and some have additional or separated some of these topics into separate "classes". In all, there is a lot to cover, and may be part of the driver's ed training and final test. In general, it is a good indication of understanding much of the material and readiness to proceed to the next steps in practice and preparedness for the permit or the license.

If your state requires driver's ed after written test for a permit, it is often mostly the skills portion, and would include some classroom, but mostly skills mastery in the vehicle, of most of the things needed for passing the road test. Additional driving practice, of 40 hours on the road is often suggested or in some cases, required (roughly 10 hours of focused practice per hour in training, to work on the principles learned in the classes).

In addition, they prepare you for the Driving Skills exam, the road test. However, simply passing that portion

I have completed Drivers Ed and am about to take the permit test, how can I pass the driving portion if I've never driven a car in my life?

I think you're confused about how it works. The order is as followsDrivers edPermit testDriving testDrivers licenseEach one allows you to move onto the next with the exception of the permit. I know the permit in California requires minimum 6 hours of instruction with an instruction and 50 hours (10 at night) with a license driver above a certain age (in the range of 23–26 but usually a parent/guardian) Don't freak out because you also need to have the permit for about 6 months so you have more than enough time to learn how to drive.

How hard is the driver's permit test?

If you live in the U.S, as long as you get a local Rules of the Road book, read it from cover-to-cover paying attention to the signs and rules such as when to yield to other pedestrians and vehicles, you should pass the permit test with no problem at all. You need to get 80% on the permit test to pass. I took my permit test yesterday and passed with a 39/40.

Below is the California DMV practice test. Hope it helps.

If I fail my drivers ed online test, what happens?

Well if I was you I would just do the online drivers ed class. I have a coupon code that will save you some money: SunFun . The coupon will take 10% off your order and you will get a certified admission that you finished drivers ed. I perfected my test on the first try and I passed my driver's license with flying colors. It is MUCH better with driversedtogo my friend took that course and he failed the actual driving course (on road) then he did the driversed.com and then took the actual driving course and he PASSED! This is a fully DMV certified course and it will count as the permit. You can use the copoun at http://www.driversed.com

Do you have to bring your driver's ed certififcate when you take the driving test???

Bottom line, yes you will need it. From the CA web page:

Before being eligible to take your driving test you must:
Be 16 years old
AND

Have held your permit for a minimum of six months
AND
Have completed driver education
AND
Have completed 6 hours of professional driver training
AND

Have completed 50 hours of practice with an adult 25 years or older. The adult must have a valid California driver license and certify to the 50 hours of practice. At least 10 of the 50 hours must have been done at night.
To take your driving test, you will need to:

Make a driving test appointment. (Driving tests are not given without an appointment.) You may also call 1-800-777-0133 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday-Friday, to make a driving test appointment.
Provide proof of financial responsibility
After you pass your driving test you will be issued an interim license valid for 60 days until you receive your new photo license in the mail. Check your address before you leave DMV and tell the DMV representative if you have moved or if your address is incorrect. If you have not received your license after 60 days, call 1-800-777-0133 to check on the status. Have your interim license with you to provide information when requested.

If you fail your driving test, you must wait two weeks before you can take the test again. You have three chances to pass.

If driver education and driver training were taken in a state other than California, DMV will accept either a To Secondary Schools Other Than California Schools form DL 33 completed by the out-of state school, or a letter on the out-of state school's stationery signed by a school official stating that the courses are equivalent to California's requirements. Instructional permits issued by another state are not acceptable proof.

What kinds of questions are on the Driver's Permit Test?

I’ll give an up-to-date answer for 2018.You’ll be tested on the road rules and general road signs. Depending on where you live, the test can include more/less - so definitely prep using state-specific prep material (and not just general questions)! To make sure you cover all the topics on your test while you study, I recommend using apps. It’s easy and cheap, and definitely the best way to study for the test. For my test, I used an awesome app called Zutobi Drivers Ed. It was really good, and it had everything (and more) than I needed to pass the permit test. I’m sure there are other apps as well, but I highly recommend this one! :)Good luck!
