Help Me World History Question

1 world history question HELP?

Confucius never became a monk.

Confucius taught that people should love and respect one another through manners, rituals, and learning.

Confucius never taught about the dynastic cycle just to encourage people to rise against corrupt rulers, he encouraged people to be
model citizens.

Confucius never taught or encouraged people to retreat from the laws of society, what he taught was quite the opposite.

Help with World History question!?

First came Genghis Khan and the Mongol hoardes sweeping across Europe from the east forcing all in their path to eat by balancing tiny morcels of raw fish and meat on hot metal domes surrounded by water. Tired of this Mongolian Barbeque fiasco the west retaliated by sending the Romans to sweep the Mongols aside and introduce pizza and pasta into the region. Mortified by this Attila the Hun swept the Romans aside with the express intention of allowing the Europeans to sample turkish cooking. The Germans then tried to get everyone to eat saurkraut but in the end, everyone had to agree, that British Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding is the best despite the Belgians trying to legislate against it in the EU Parliament.

World History Questions?

These are all from my memory, so you should probably double check just in case, but...

1. What effect did the French and Indian War have on the coming of the American Revolution?

After the French and Indian War, the British government (technically everyone was British, but for the sake of making things simpler, British = Continental UK) raised taxes because they had to spend money "protecting the colonists." This angered the colonists, however, because they did not want to start the war in the first place. So more taxation without representation.

2. What new policies affecting the colonies did Parliament adopt following the French and Indian War, and why did it adopt those policies?

I believe, BELIEVE (again, check this out), that this is when the Stamp Act was put in place, in order to get out of debt.

3. Select any four colonial leaders and explain the specific role each played in the coming of the American Revolution.

I can give you two...
Thomas Paine - Common Sense, which challenged the authority of the British government.
Thomas Jefferson - wrote the Declaration of Independence, which of course led to the war.

Can't help you with four, sorry... :-(

This is what I have to do: Research each of the following belief systems, and be sure to
include the basic tenets of faith, prophets, sacred texts, symbols, geographic location and cultural
and gender implications of each belief system. Be sure to consider the most cherished beliefs of
each belief system, the true essence of each. Example: the principle of equality among Muslims.
You must have a minimum of one complete page for each belief system. This work will be
collected on the first day of school. Present each belief system in the same order you see below.

World History Questions Please Help?

1) Um..look in your book
2) A republic is a gov't in which the people elect representatives to call the shots, basically. In general a republic will protect the assets of the older generation, while a democracy will support the younger generation with $ and all that. The democracy helps the little guys, the republic helps the older people who wish to keep what they've earned. Democracy is a gov't in which there is power to the people.
3) A government of laws, not of men, probably means that there will be set rules and regulations - for example, at a trial. Rather than just having a jury decide, there is also a judge who is educated in Law to preside over the court.

What is eastern question in World History?

It basically is the intense competition among colonial powers, following the decline of the Ottoman Empire between the late 18th and early 20th centuries. The trigger was the 6 year old war between Russia and Turkey during the mid-18th century, which resulted in a huge defeat for the Ottomans. The decisive defeat of the Ottomans at the hand of Russia,  meant they had to sign the humiliating Treaty of Küçük Kaynarca, where they had to ceded some of their territories to Russia as shown below. As seen above the Red and Green striped area was given to Russia, while Crimea( Yellow-Green stripe) was granted independence. While Russia returned Moldovia and Wallachia to Turkey,  they retained the right to protect Christians. Which effectively meant Russia could intervene any time they wanted to protect Christians against suppression by the Ottomans. In a sense this Treaty, would effectively form the basis of the Eastern Question, what would happen once the mighty Ottoman Empire collapsed, which now seemed imminent. With the Great Powers of Europe, now engaging in a struggle for safeguarding their military, commercial and strategic interests, the Balkans became a battleground for them.  Russia which stood to benefit most from the Ottoman Empire's decline, was engaged in a power struggle with Britain, and Austria-Hungary, that saw a benefit by ensuring the empire would not collapse. Turkey suffered another blow during the 3 yr war with Austria during 1787-91,  when it lost Belgrade. However with the French Revolution breaking out, Austria did not press further, and made marginal gains. The 1829 war with Russia saw Turkey losing further territory, with the Treaty of Adrianpole giving access to Danube, and the Dardanelles Strait being thrown open to all commercial vessels. Greece broke away and became independent following it's victory in the 7 yr War of Independence between 1821-29.  Following WWI, and the collapse of the Ottoman Empire, the question was eventually put to rest, with the Caliphate being dissolved.
