Help My Cat Is Hurt

Help! My Cat Has Licked A Chip! Will This Hurt Her?

Nope, she'll be fine. :) Chips aren't exactly awesome for cats to be eating because they're rather salty, but a few licks won't hurt anything.

My 18-year-old crabby old Calico will eat Munchos. She barely has any teeth left, but god forbid she hears you open a bag!! She's pushy when she wants her potato chips. :)

Help! My cat is hurting herself!?

My cat is overly obsessed in cleaning herself. Whenever someone touches her she instantly starts to clean herself. I found some red, wet, big circles on her belly and I'm convinced she's giving herself hickeys. How do I stop it? Please help.

My Cat hurt it's leg fighting another Cat. (Help?)?

I am sorry tho hear that your pet is not well. By far the commonest cause of a cat limping is a bite from another cat. If that is the case him getting bit, it may well get better without treatment. Maybe give up half your pocket money for a few weeks! It could be broken or a fracture or sparing. When you first seen this should have taken the cat.Take him to the vet this site below will help.

Someone hurt my cat!! What can I do?? Help!!?

I live in California. San Bernardino county to be precise. I have new neighbors who moved in about a month ago. One of the men who live there is purposely throwing rocks at my dogs to hurt them and he hit my cat on the face with a rock. My cats face is swollen. He has a bump the size of a baseball on the side of his face from the rock hitting him. I am going to take him to the vet tomorrow. They left their house right after he did it! Im furious and hurt but extremely worried about my animals. I'm scared that he might poison them. One of our cats is missing and now I fear that the neighbor might have killed it!!! :,( Please help me and let me know what I can do to protect my animals. My dogs are outside dogs and now I will not feel safe with these people living next to me!

My cat got hurt, some of her skin is torn off, help UPDATE PIC?

I've seen much worse injuries on 5 year olds.

I wouldn't let the cat back outside till it heals.

People freak out too much about pets. If your child had a cut like that would you rush them to the emergency room? Probably unless that cut is worse then it looks in the pictures. Clean it with peroxide. look online for what is safe to disinfect the cut. Watch the cat, if it seems the pain is getting worse then take her to the vet. I think it will heal fine on its own. An abscess is caused by an infection, that injury is new and not infected yet. it being open like it is will actually help it not become an abscess, its usually smaller cuts, that don't have alot of room to drain that get the worse infections.

Don't let anyone tell you how to raise your cat. As long as you got her fixed, the cat should be allowed to roam outside. Its much safer for people to stay inside all the time, but what kind of life is that? what kind of life is being inside to a cat that once had freedom? Better inside/outside, then a shelter cat.

How can I help a street cat with his injury?

Trap him (by putting food into a carrier, which you can get as a cardboard box at Petco) by putting food into the carrier, either placed on its side or straight up. Then, bring it to a no kill shelter and let them handle it. The cat MUST have medical treatment. You can also bring it to a vet if you can afford it. Most vets will work with you. Do you want to adopt this cat?As to the wound, there are vets that will come to your house. You should not be spraying medicine until you know what you are dealing with. Animals will lick the medicine and it could make them very ill. It must be medicine for animals and appropriate for the injury. You don’t know if the cat has had its shots or if it is lost and microchipped. All of this could be answered by a trip to the shelter. Sometimes you can call the shelter for help with safely trapping him. They can go over your ownership/surrender options with you. Remember, always call a no kill shelter.Does your city have an animal control officer that deals with cats? Some do and some don’t. Try looking it up under the city or if you can’t find it call the police department non-emergency department and talk to the animal control officer. It is a great thing you are doing. Remember, cats will scratch and bite out of fear—especially an injured one—so your caution is a good thing. It doesn’t mean that this kitty couldn’t be a great pet if you wanted to make him yours. First, get him/her to a vet. Waiting risks infection or worse. Good luck!

How can I tell when my cat's feelings are hurt?

One major expression of that is your cat coming to wherever you are when you are in sitting/resting state, and laying down with his/her behind towards some distance away, in a fashion you will see it. The tail would probably be motionless or looking ‘impatient’.‘Turning back the ass’ is a major sign which many cat owners know.

My cat injured a baby rabbit -- HELP!?

Alright, so my cat was outside as always (it's an outdoors cat) and I saw him running around with a baby rabbit in his mouth. I ran outside and took him back inside, I got really worried about the poor bunny so I put it in a cage until my mom comes back home. I do not know what to do at all. My cat's locked up in a bedroom right now (the bunny is in the kitchen now) and I do not know how to take care of it. All I want to do is put it back to health. I do want to take it to a vet just so they can help, but until tomorrow I have no option but to take it in tonight. What do I do? It's injured on it's lower right side and I'm just really worried. I saw some answers saying it'll most likely die. Please help.
