Do your parents know about your fanfiction account?
No, my dad doesn't know what I write and he's not likely to find out. I write slash fiction, anything from PG to NC-17, and I think I've written just about every kink or warning you can think of. I've never told him what I write online (he knows that I do), and I make sure that the shared computer in the house is logged off and my browser history wiped so he won't find it accidentally. It would be worse if he found my livejournal as I tend to put all of my fanfiction on there, including the ones I don't put on ff.net for content reasons! Then again, I also write gay erotica for publication and he doesn't know about that either. He just knows I've got books published. It seems silly when I'm an adult and I'm in no way ashamed of what I write, but he's a bit old-fashioned and I just don't think he'd approve so it's not worth making things awkward at home. If they don't know your user name, then make sure you wipe the browser history if you've been into your account, and always log out of it when you're done. If they know your user name then I'm not really sure what you can do.
MOM FOUND FANFICTION HELP IM DESPERATE?
So i am a 16 year old girl and was in my room on my phone reading a sterek fanfiction (which is a M/M slash fic). I'm usually more careful about reading it but i was a bit careless today. She was as usual in a really bad mood and got pissed off that i was on my phone when i should be focused on my studies. (i am a really good student don't get me wrong but i was taking a break. She took my phone before i could do anything and went into her room. I know she looked at it. My mom doesn't know what fanfiction is and i know the only thing going through her head is that i must be into really weird porn. i overheard snipets of conversation with my dad about it through the door and my dad (who is the reasonable parent) suggested that they shouldn't just interrogate me and force an answer out like my mom was probably thinking. I only heard bits and pieces but enough to know my mom was angry. I never really get into trouble or do anything bad so i have a bad feeling that an interventoin is coming. my friend came over for a gorup project so they haven't said anything about it yet and they said that they are going somewhere in for a while. knowing my parents it probably has to do with this and my dad gave me my phone back. my friend left and i didnt tell her about this situation cuz she thinks fan fic is weird. i have no idea what to say to them when they approach me. i dont think that i can get away with saying it was a popup. please please help me -Angela

How do i explain this to my mom? she found my yaoi fanfiction?
I'm 15 almost 16 and my mom found a yaoi fanfiction that'd I'd recently written. It's the second time she's found one. The first time I was 13 and when I was writing it I used the term "boy" instead of "teen" or "man" so she thought it was about little boys. So when she found this one she immediately assumed they were kids or something (my last one was not kids that's nasty). She thinks I'm a pedophile and threatened to show my cousins who got abused and to post posters all around the city with my picture on it saying that I was a pedophile and that people should watch their kids. How do I explain what yaoi is to her? A lot of people at my school who watch anime and stuff know what yaoi is, so do I just say "OH ITS AN ANIME THING" How do I explain that this isn't pedophilia? The two men are over 20 they're grown men, not little boys! But how do I explain this to her?

Things like that happen. No need to stress about it now, what's done it's done. I know you probably feel bad and uncomfortable of the situation, but you have to know one thing. Parents can forgive and forget anything. They are not oblivious what they children are exposed to everyday on the internet, in front of the TV. They would be surprised, and a little mad, maybe worried. That is a normal reaction. I just want you to think about something. Would it be different if you have written het romance? You are curious about those things, which is normal. When I was a kid a friend of mine (a girl, I am a girl too) gave me an adult romance novel. I was not supposed to read stuff like that. But I was curious. So I hid the book in a school textbook, like I was studying and began reading. Off all the luck I could have, my Mom came into the room right then and sensed I was acting weird. She saw what I really was reading and I panicked. Do you know what she did? She laughed and then told my Grandma, and then they both laughed. Nothing terrible happened. Well, maybe your situation is a little more serious, but it's not as bad as you think. You can try and explain them, or just say you printed it from the Net. The most important thing is to act calm, and point it's just for fun. Don't worry, everything will turn out well.

Oh, for goodness sakes, I bet your parents don't have a clear idea what fanfic is. Why should you be ashamed of your reading choices? If you are ashamed, stop doing it and go read something that you think is wholesome. If you are fine, why don't you introduce some nice fanfic to your family and friends so your brother is the odd one out? There are some really funny ones out there.

Jazmine hates her family but for some reason she get's along with her Draco just fine. The reason Jazmine's last name is Black is beacuse she lives with Sirius. When Jazmine meets Harry Potter at Grimuald Place before the hogwarts year starts they start to like eachother. She gets sorted into Slytherin of course. Her brother Draco dosent like Jazmine and Harry's relationship. Ok so thats all im going to type but I need to know if it sounds good and I can't find a title!!!
