Pain on bottom of foot, feels like glass but not.. HELP?

This might sound silly but do you have a dog? Or been round someone that has a dog? I'm asking this because dog hairs are much thicker then human hairs and can get stuck in your foot, like glass, so maybe that's what go stuck in your foot and it got infected, but then it wouldn't still be hurting after 6 months. It might be worth going straight to the hospital if this is something that keeps happening?

How to stop my foot from bleeding after corn removal?

I had a hard corn on my left foot that made walking uncomfortable...Yesterday I soaked the foot and slowly removed the corn fully, even the small hard round corn...My foot has a small puncture like wou nd now and it took forever to stop bleeding...Elevating my foot above my head for a few hours allowed the bleeding to stop with the help of a heavy gauge padded bandage...The foot was cleaned after the corn was removed with Hydrogen Peroxide and then Tea Tree Oil...I added a cotton ball soaked in Hydrogen Peroxide and a pressure gauge...I just checked my foot and the hole looks like the blood has filled and is setting...NOW...How do I redress and care for the open wound while it heals??? How should clean it without causing it to bleed again??? Thank you kindly in advance of an answer...And YES, I know it was dumb to remove the corn on my own...

I'm 15 and have constant circles under my eyes, please assist!

I'll be 16 in a few weeks and already my eyes are beginning to look rather weathered. I have constant black and blue bags under my eyes, and already have smile lines (like crows feet). This really distresses me because I have really naturally big, dark blue eyes that are probably my best feature. I manage these things okay with make up, but has anyone got any for-sure solutions?

Is it possible to travel from Russia to Alaska on foot in the winter?

The two previous answerers have answered the question well. I’d like to add that if you expand your definitions of “Russia” and “Alaska” just a bit, there’s one place where walking across might be much easier: the Diomede Islands. The Diomedes are smack in the middle of the Bering Strait, and the international boundary separates them: Russia has Big Diomede Island to the left, and the US owns Little Diomede Island to the right. The distance between them is 2.4 miles, and it’s quite possible to walk between them when the sea is frozen. The Inupiat natives used to do that routinely; I gather that many families were split when the Soviets removed the native population from Big Diomede to the mainland. Big Diomede is now home to a detachment of Russian border guards—meaning that you’d almost certainly get arrested if you tried to walk across the border without arranging permission in advance. There’s still a small, mostly Inupiat population on Little Diomede. (Note that Sarah Palin’s claim that “you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska”—often misquoted as “I can see Russia from my house”—is actually quite true.)Michael Palin (of Monty Python fame) hosted a BBC TV show, Full Circle, in which he traveled all around the Pacific Rim, beginning on Little Diomede—although he doesn’t travel to Big Diomede, but goes by way of the Aleutians. This will give some idea of what the place looks like:Also: British adventurer Karl Bushby is still attempting to walk an unbroken path around the world, from southernmost Chile, up the Pacific coast of the Americas, across the Bering Sea and then across Eurasia all the way to England. In March 2006, he and his fellow adventurer Dimitri Kieffer crossed the frozen Bering Straits on foot and were detained by Russian border guards near the village of Uelen. (Source: Karl Bushby) So the Shparo family are not the only ones to make the trip. You can see just how hard it is to walk across the entire Bering Strait here—here’s Part 1 of a documentary on Bushby’s expedition. Apparently they ended walking something like 150 miles, because the ice was drifting and carried them far off their course. All four parts are on YouTube—check ’em out! Here’s Part 4, where you find out how it ended:

Loose skin on my toe, what should I do? Help?

LOL, not sure if colon cleanser would help as mentioned above haha.

But for your question, I get these quite often, usually when I work out for an extended period of time when my feet are exposed to the very moist hot and sweaty shoe. They are pretty much just callused skin or dead skin that expands away from the rest of your skin when it gets wet, think of it as a painless blister or dead skin. since the skin started peeling, it dried out and is now just...there. DON'T peel the skin off, let it slowly go away on it's own, if you peel it off, you could tear live flesh, and that would hurt.

Hope this helped!

Maths! Help!?

You guys are both wrong.
And gtatix, you don't know where that person is from... most other countries do call it "maths" instead of "math"...

Anyway heat does expand things, and actually the caller did not exaggerat the size of the buckle. If the bridge expanded 2 feet but the ends are stationry it would in fact cause it to buckle upwards. If I understand correctly what they're asking, I imagine it's a triangle geometry question. If I could draw a picture on here for you I would, but basically, if it buckles up in the middle, it makes two identical right triangles.

Considering just half of it (one of the right triangles), you know that the bottom edge length is 2640 (half of a mile's 5280) and the hypotenuse (the slanted top part) is just one more than that (2641) because the expansion was 2 feet, so 1 on each side...

You can use the pathagorean theorem to find the length of the third size (how high the point or buckle is).
a² + b² = c² where c is the hypotenuse.
so
2640² + b² = 2641²
when you solve for b, it is actually about 72.67, so the caller was even too low in his estimate.

Anyway, don't take my word for it... go over it and try to udnerstand it. Hope this helps so you don't get saturday penal!
