Help My Friend Connected Me To Their Wifi And He Has Been Emailing His Self My Photos Howww

Can a laptop be traced if someone is using free public wifi?

"..., would anyone be able to figure out where I am by tracing my computer if I'm not connected to the Internet?"

No. There is no GPS built into computers. That story is horseshiite.

"What about if I was using free public wifi like at a McDonalds?"

Your MAC address would be picked up by the router, but it's not transmitted on the WAN. If the authorities knew your MAC address and they got a hold of the router at the Mcdonalds they might be able to find a record of you connecting to it. This idea that you have some fingerprint you leave on the internet anytime you connect with your computer is nonsense. If you connect through your own isp account there is a record of that, but if you connect through McDonald's Wi-Fi or some other public network it would be very difficult discover you connected UNTIL YOU POST SOMETHING OR LOG ON to one of your accounts. At that point an ip-address would be recorded and police could work with the isp to find out what customer it came from. They would assume it was you because you posted to your account (say facebook, or twitter) and they would assume you were at the McDonalds because your post came from their ip-address.

Thank you John M. for a less winded explanation than my own.

"Like Plan B says, your Laptop has a Binary fingerprint that is registered to you."

No it doesn't. That would require retailers of computers to record the name of everybody who purchased one and record the serial number of the computer and then report it to central authority. It doesn't happen, and even if it did there would be no way to tell if the computer was sold or given to another owner.

Can someone using the same home wifi network as me view my computer (internet history, photos, docs, etc.)?

Someone on my home wifi network said that they can see internet history, cache, documents, photos, etc. from my computer on his. I just turned on my firewall. Does that mean he can't see those things anymore?

If I find adult friend finder in my boyfriends emails does this mean he made an account?

He's lying about creating the account. It sounds like he created the accounts while he was at that hotel. There's no way for a website to obtain those personal stats. I bet you caught him off guard with your question and he had to think fast so he used some of the truth to come up with his fake explanation. However, a couple things bother me. If he's doing this in his new area, then he probably did it before as well. You should log into his account again and see when it was created if you can. You can look at browser history to see if he visits the sites. It also bothers me that you logged into his account in the first place - that sounds like you did it on purpose to check up on him. If you were suspicious then I'd say that this confirms your concerns. If you did log into his account on purpose and tried to cover that in your question bynsaying it was an accident then I think the two of you both have trust and communication issues and you both need to be more open and honest with each other. You're in a tough position. Good luck.
