Help My Stomach Hurts So Bad Severe Colicky Pains

Why do I get stomach pains after breakfast?

Too vague. Please see a doc.Is it stomach or belly (most likely bowel) pain? There is something called a gastro-colic reflex, the filling of the stomach followed by the contraction of the large bowel, that’s why babies poo after having had their milk. Some people having a peptic stomach ulcer have stomach pains after eating. This is located in the middle upper abdomen, not to the sides nor in the underbelly. This can’t be diagnosed through internet. If you were my patient, and I was convinced it was stomach pain, I would perform an upper GE endoscopy (gastro-duodenoscopy) to exclude peptic ulcers especially of the stomach (duodenal ulcers patients feel better after eating something). If that was normal, for upper belly pains after meals I’d then order an upper abdominal echography to exclude gallbladder stones, which we also find in young people.

Why does my stomach hurt?

Stomach problems can't be diagnosed by blood tests, am not sure what tests has been done, but you'll need to have a esophago-gastro-duodenoscopy (a routine exam of your esophagus, stomach and duodenum taking no more than 10 minutes in total) and echography of your pancreas (since there is a correlation between chronic pancreatitis and cystic fibrosis see Chronic Pancreatitis - Celiac Disease Foundation) done, because upper abdominal aches can be caused by a pancreatic problem, sometimes hard to diagnose on a regular upper abdominal echography, we sometimes need to do an Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) to diagnose this condition. On the other hand what some people feel are stomach problems aren't from the stomach at all, many people have bowel cramps.Am not sure how old you are, how long you had had celiac disease before it had been diagnosed, and for how long you have had celiac disease now.People with celiac disease (more often if celiac disease is diagnosed late >7 years after onset of the symptoms) have a 60-80 times higher risk of the quite rare adenocarcinoma and T-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma of the small bowel (from Page on nih.gov normally a very, very low incidence of just 1 to 1,4 per 100,000), hard to diagnose, not visible on echography, sometimes can be made visible by small bowel MRI and/or combined PET/CT scan, only causing pain symptoms if the lymphoma causes (intermittent) obstruction of the small bowel.  Usually docs are put on the right tract when you're seen during an attack, where they find signs of intestinal obstruction (Ileus), but won't cause continuous pain, so very unlikely in your case.  In irritable bowel syndrome eating a low FODMAP diet sometimes helps.. see Low FODMAP Diet -- What You Need to Know -- US News Best Diets

My stomach hurts after sitting a certain way and my breath smells?

See your health care provider as soon as possible (primary care or dentist). Abdominal pain can be a sign of a serious condition. Fortunately, minor causes are much more frequent. Location of the pain can help in suggesting the cause.

Appendix pain usually occurs in the right lower quarter of the abdomen
Diverticulitis usually hurts in the left lower quarter of the abdomen
Kidney pain, the back
Gallbladder, the right upper quarter
Stomach, the upper abdomen
Bladder or female organs, the lower areas

Exceptions to these rules do occur.
Pain from hollow organs--such as the bowel or gallbladder--tends to be intermittent and resembles gas pains or colic. Pain from solid organs--kidneys, spleen, liver--tends to be more constant. Stomach ulcers tend to create burning pain in the upper abdomen which usually gets better after a meal or a dose of antacid. There are exceptions to these rules as well.

Poor dental hygiene and smoking cause most cases of bad breath in adults. Infections of the mouth and sore throat infections may also cause bad breath. Recently it has been suggested that bad breath is occasionally due to gases absorbed from the intestine and released through the lungs.
Finally, unusual problems such as abscesses of the lung or heavy worm infestation.
I hope this helps you. And good luck.

I took propolis and my stomach ache has got worse.?

I've been told propolis is good for stomach ache. But after I took it my stomach ache has got worse. Some people say it may get worse before it gets better. Is that true? Does anyone have that experience?

Excruciating stomach pain every five to ten minutes?

See your health care provider as soon as possible (gastroenterologist), for consultation. Pain may be generalized, meaning that it is present in more than half of your belly. This is more typical for a stomach virus, indigestion, or gas. If the pain becomes more severe, it may be caused by a blockage of the intestines.
Pain that is localized is found in only one area of your belly. This type of pain is more likely to be a sign of a problem in one of your organs, such as the appendix, gallbladder, or stomach (ulcers).
Cramp-like pain is usually not serious, and is more likely to be due to gas and bloating. It is often followed by diarrhea. More worrisome signs include pain that occurs more often, lasts longer (more than 24 hours), or has a fever with it.
Colicky pain is pain that comes in waves, usually starts and ends suddenly, and is often severe. Kidney stones and gallstones are common causes of this type of belly pain.

For prevention of many types of abdominal pain:

Avoid fatty or greasy foods.
Drink plenty of water each day.
Eat small meals more frequently.
Exercise regularly.
Limit foods that produce gas.
Make sure that your meals are well-balanced and high in fiber. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables.

I hope this helps you. And good luck.

What is the difference between colic pain and cramps?

I'm a male and have severe abdominal pain.its really painful I have to bend over cause it hurts really bad!!!!!......I've had this pain before I just take alka Seltzer and goes away...but I don't have any right now???

Severe abdominal pain, cramps, diarrhea, vomiting... any ideas?

The possible causes are never ending. Most commonly related to those symtoms, peptic ulcer comes to mind. If left untreated can get pretty nasty.

Might also just be a stomach virus.

Kidney infection.

Apendecidis.

Stress related.

I've always been advised that anything unbarable should be taken care of immediately. Especially pain not responding to pain medication.

Schedule an appointment or head to the ER. Apendicidis is very common among your age group and can be deadly and quickly too. The symptoms come on very hard & quickly.

There was about 4 months would I couldn't keep anything down but small amounts of non-heavy stuff and always felt nauseous. Very simular to pregnancy symptoms but I wasn't. I had real uncomfortable gas pains. I later found out that most likely I was just really stressed out and my body was reacting.

Just get checked sweety. The worst to happen is you'll feel better in the long run :)
