Help Need Advice Pet Issues

Please help me dog breeders!? I need advice ASAP!?

Just feed her a high quality food, as much as she wants. Do get good vet care for her. Because she is young and small, be sure to have her x-rayed in about 7-8 weeks to make sure she can pass these puppies.

If you would rather wait, a quick trip to the vet can abort this litter with a hormone shot. Chances are, she will do fine. It's not the best choice to breed first heat cycle, but she will probably be just fine. Do take her to the vet for prenatal care though if you choose to have this litter.

Good Luck.

My dog has skin issues. Help?

I have a blue heeler pup, 9 months old. She had fleas about a month ago and due to that she gave herself hotspots on the back of her legs and under her tail. We gave her flea baths, flea collars, off brand flea meds, etc and nothing was working so we went to the vet and got Capstar and Frontline and we powdered the house and got rid of them. (Or at least we havent seen a single one since). But she kept scratching at her hotspots til they bled. So we bought her a cone for her head and for about a week and a half she wore it and we applied hot spot treatment twice a day. They started to look better so we took the cone off. But now she's back biting and scratching again at the same spots. So much so that she's lost a lot of hair on her tail and bottom. I'm wondering if it's something other than fleas. Like mites or can allergies cause this? She's a very itchy dog. She'll scratch until it hurts. I check her daily for fleas because Im paranoid but I never find anything. She even has a few scabs above her tail from scratching. Occasionally she'll chew on her front paws but its mostly her lower back and her bottom. Her skin is very dry, red, cracked, and flaky all around the area.
Could it be mites? and how much would it cost me to take her to the vet for a skin scraping and treatment (if it is)
Could it be allergies and are there any remedies to help her?
Im just tired of seeing the poor thing so itchy. Ive tried everything to make her comfortable and it's obvious that even though she's the happiest dog I've ever met, she's very uncomfortable.

Hi all I need advice on how to keep wolves off my property?

WOW! wolves? Guess you don't leave in Brooklyn?

I lived in Ct for many years. We had coyote problems from time to time. My roommate bought "MALE COYOTE PEE" over the Internet. She marked the "territory" by spaying the product on trees, grass and rocks in our backyard. It did work, but it took a while to build up enough of a scent to keep the coyotes at bay

Many people will tell you this product does not work. Well, it does. It just takes a while for the product to build up enough scent to keep the other animals away.

You can also go "TECH" to solve the problem. I saw on HGTV's "I want that!" of a product to frighten ducks off your property. It is a recording of a duck in distress that the owners played each day. I am sure their neighbors loved it too! They have such products for ranchers to frighten off predators. They also have some that are at a pitch that only dogs can hear. However, if you have a pooch, he/she is not going to like that!

Stop using the food, it is not going to work. The Wolves are hungry and they don't care what they eat. Check with your local ASPCA for humane solutions to your problem. They sometimes have capture programs for the wolves. They bag, tag and relocate the wolves to wildlife areas.

DON'T SHOOT THE WOLVES. THEY ARE NOT BOTHERING YOU. AND ODD'S ARE THEY WILL NOT. Wolves are frighten of humans and will stay away from them. they are on your land for food only. Just stop feeding them. take all food in at night. Keep garbage cans shut tight. Eventually they will try to eat some where else.

GOOD LUCK! And don't let your pets out at night. The Wolves will attack if they are hungry enough.

My siberian husky was abused!? Advice on behavioral issues please.?

I just got an 9 month old siberian husky- she is purebred and has akc papers. I got her from a family- who can no longer care for her. She is sooooooo scared of people the family mentioned she was never socialized and she will bark and growl at my husband whenever he comes around- she did do that to me but now after 2 days she has warmed up to me and trusts me. she will get ina ball and try to hide or go under furniture whenever someone walks towards her. She doesn't seem to like my chihuahua but I've only introduced them once. I need advice on what to do- I don't want to bring her to a trainer I will train her myself so I just need advice on where to start. Thanks

SERIOUS help needed. my puppy is being a punk!?

i dont even know where to begin. my puppy ( 5 month old choc lab is so much work ) i have had countless puppies before, and none have been as hard as she is. i need some advice on the following issues.

history: 5 month old choc lab, about 42lbs, got her from a pet store, who got her from a puppy farm. she is healthy, but might have a slight hip issue (vet next week) she is getting fixed on the 21st of sept.

1. she still pees and poos in the house even after she is outside for 20 minutes. i understand she is young, but she just isnt getting it. i tried the pee pad thing, and she just picks it up and rips it apart before she even has a chance to potty on it. i try letting her out all the time, but she still goes where ever she wants. she doesnt run and do it in private either, she will do it right in front of me with no sign she even had to go. HELP what do i do?

2. she wakes up about 2 times a night. once at 3:30am to go potty, (i let her out) and again at 5:00am, she barks and barks and barks in her crate until 6:30 when i feed her. i only let her out at 330 to give her the benifit of the doubt that she has to go pee, i dont go down and get her when she barks at 5:00am because i dont want her to think whenever she barks i come running. so i leave her there till its breakfast time at 6:30am. that cage is a nice size, but not too big. it has towls, pillow, toys in it for her. sometimes she even pees in it. she doesnt have a strong bladder yet. will that get better? HELP here too!!!

3. when playing she bites like crazy yet she has lost all of her teeth. when i try to ignore her because she was biting me, she then barks at me until i play with her again. i refuse to have a dog run my life. im the boss. how do i fix this issue. i play with her a ton, but when im doing paper work, i dont want her just barking at me as i sit at my desk, and i sometimes just want to lay with her and pet her. not have her eat my hands. helo again..

it is all very frustrating and im starting to yell at her, even pop her nose or grab it and say no bark. i hate doing that, but she drives me up a wall. yet she is my baby.. please someone help.. i dont want a dog thats scared of me, i just want a good dog.

Can any dog-trainers give me some advice? I have tried every method possible to train my dog to stop marking, and after 4 months, I feel hopeless.

Just to be clear-when you say ‘marking’ that is when a male dog (usually) lifts his leg and urinates, usually right where another dog urinated. This is called marking. It is an extremely strong instinct and I’m not quite sure why you’d even want to make your dog stop marking. When dogs smell the urine of other dogs they can learn a lot about that dog, their sense of smell is many hundreds of times stronger than ours. It is their most dominant sense, whereas ours is usually either vision or hearing. When a dog marks, say on a tree trunk, or fire hydrant, or bush or maybe just a spot of grass or a much urinated upon barrel or pillar near a store that dogs go into, they are a. learning about the dogs that were there before them and b. marking=making their scent dominant so that other dogs will know he was there and that he claimed that spot as his.Just because we humans don’t urinate in public does not back it wrong or bad that dogs do. Dogs marking has gone on since there were dogs and it’s not going to stop any time soon.I hope this helps to answer your question. If you meant barking instead of marking that of course is an entirely different topic.
