Help Oh My Gosh How Do I Cut My Hair

Does cutting hair short help hair loss?

Most of the time, hair loss is a result of an underlying issues such as alopecia, however there are circumstances where the hair just falls out naturally. It is commonly advised that cutting the hair can prevent hair loss, but how true is this? The truth is, cutting the hair short doesn't actively prevent hair loss. It does make the hair look thicker overall, because the nearer the strands of hair are to the roots, the thicker they are. So if you want your hair to appear thicker and fuller, you are best to get a shorter cut. There are environmental factors which relate to the specific hair cut and likelihood of hair loss, for example, when the hair has been cut short it is less likely to get tangled and caught in things like zips or scarves, which significantly reduces the everyday strains that would otherwise go unnoticed – this means that the hair will grow in better condition if it has been previously cut very short too.Everyones hair has been biologically 'programmed' to grow in a certain way, so no matter how it is cut, the growth rate and texture has been previously determined and this is the path it will follow. It is advisable to get the hair cut every six weeks to keep it in its best condition, as this way the ends have a chance to recuperate and replenish themselves and the hair looks fresh.Recommended Reading.

Should I cut my brothers hair?

So yesterday my brother kept making fun of me because I have a bob cut (I'm a girl) and he doesn't realize that I'm an independent 12 year old woman that can do whatever I want. He says his style fits him and he knows he looks 'good'. Should I cut all of this off?: http://mattheath.typepad.com/.a/6a00d8341d1d4e53ef00e5527b37a88833-800pi

Husband is angry because I cut my hair?

Oh my gosh - if I were you I'd be FURIOUS! How dare he tell you that you should have "ASKED him first"
Okay - so maybe if it had been a pre-planned things you could have warned him so it'd be less of a shock - but it's YOUR hair... Don't you dare feel bad about this - you did NOTHING wrong.

If he behaves like this for more than a day, and doesn't appologise... well he doesn't deserve to be your husband! No husband should treat his wife like this over a haircut. Maybe if you cheated on him... but a haircut!?!?!? Obviously you're not going to go get a divorce over this... but seriously how much can he really love you if he lets a haircut stop him from wanting to hold you, and talk to you, and love you? Not to mention that if he really loved you he'd want you to feel good about yourself, and be supportive of your choices and so would have gotten over himself and said something like "wow, that's a big change! You know you look gorgeous with any haircut - but I do miss your sexy long hair!" ... grrr he makes me so mad. I feel really sorry for you. He should treat you better than this and say sorry.

What to do to make him understand... explain it was a spur of the moment decision, and you would have warned him - NOT ASKED - had it been planned, and that he's behaving like he only loved you for your hair. Ask him why he is acting the way he is - is there something more to it?? If not, then I'd be telling him if he can't allow you to choose your own hairstyle, then he's welcome to keep sleeping on the couch cause you only want to be with your husband when you know he loves you for more than your looks.

eek... how horrible!!

Another option would be to print off the answers to your question and let him read it - then he may realise how unreasonable he's being!

Does keeping hair short help slow down hair loss? Is it really helpful?

Scientifically NO…You can't stop or slow down hair loss by keeping it short cause there is no connection between short hair and hair loss.Hypothetically YES…By keeping your hair short means damaged hair would get chopped out and damaged hair won't break and fall out . So it is possible you feel like that hair loss has reduced.Hair loss is depending on weather , food , deit , age , anti- biotics drugs etc..Ps - you can check out and read my another answer upon regrowing hair and hair loss through natural remedies from belowZalak Kotecha's answer to How much time is required for the regrowth of new hair and to stop hair fall? I’m suffering from severe hair fall. I’m taking a homeopathic treatment for this issue. Thanks ☺️

Have you ever cut your finger on horse hair (lol)?

Yes. From just reading your question title, I was going to respond with cuts on the outside edge of my little fingers at the first joint from pulling manes, but it turns out that was exactly what you were talking about. Someone taught me to wrap a few hairs around the comb instead of using my hand, and that helps.

Does cutting hair short increase hair fall?

NO! As far as i know, cutting your hairs short will decrease the hairfall upto great extent. I am 100% sure about this. Even the dermatologists suggest the patients suffering from hairfall to keep their hair short, so that the hairfall can be managable.

I messed my hair up?!!!!?

Oh my gosh please help! Okay, so I had a sidecut but it wasn't completely shaved it was a little bit longer. About an inch long. Well, stupid ole me I wanted it to be a LITTLE shorter, so I used an electric razor (the ones that guys use or salons use on guys) and I cut it really uneven. So i kept shaving and shaving and shaving until it was even and now it's completely short. The hairs are literally a half a centimeter. So, right now I'm dying it pink and hoping that i will look a little better. It doesn't look bad, but I personally do not look good with it being so short and completely shaved. Plus, I have a month and two weeks to make it look better which isn't much time so I'm freaking out? What do I do?!

Will cutting my hair reduce hair-fall, or is it because of the winter season's dryness?

Cutting your hair may reduce the hair fall. Hair falls when it has got no zeal to support the length. So, yes, chopping them off will reduce its burden of the roots to supply nutrients till the very end. But, it may not work if there is a stronger underlying reason for the hair fall.As you mentioned dryness. Dryness makes the hair surface fragile and thus susceptible to wear and tear. Thereby increasing the chances for hair fall.Though, it could also be lack of nutrients in body. Medical complications, genetics and excess of product buildup also lead to loss.I suggest you get yourself tested to know the exact reason. It will help guide the further solution.
