Color Guard tryouts: How should I dress?
okay... definitely wear casual warm up stuff, unless they specified otherwise. like just wear a t-shirt and comfy sweat shorts, not sweat pants. and absolutely wear sneakers, not flip flops or sandals or anything else. have your hair back in a pony tail and bangs/flyaways pinned down. for makeup, i'd do something similar to whatever the guard girls usually wear. at my school, our guard is pretty relaxed with makeup, but at some schools they make a big deal about it, so i'd ask one of the girls already on the squad if you can. if you just have to wing it, i'd recommend wearing some makeup, but not making it look showy or glittery or anything. yes, definitely smile throughout the whole thing!! guard instructors love that. in my guard, the instructors often threaten to put vaseline on our teeth if we don't smile big enough! :P if i saw a girl with a bruise, i'd think "way to go girl, you weren't afraid to catch that thing." :)
Can you wash white clothes with colors?
Never wash brand new bold colored clothes with lightly colored clothes. The deep bold colors on on clothing is more likely to bleed onto lighter ones, more so when they are brand new. Washing in cold water can help but it isn’t a perfect solution. It is not a good idea to wash whites with colored clothes if you want your white clothes to stay white. Cold water washing will not make clothes bleed color like hot water will. Color transfer can still happen when using only cold water so it is best to keep colors and whites separated. But if you are washing along with old or faded color clothes you can take a chance, white vinegar in the final rinse (you can put it in the fabric softener dispenser or add it manually to the final rinse) will help to 'set' color so it is less likely to be transferred in future wash loads. 1 cup of vinegar per a full load (1/4 cup per small load, 1/2 per medium load) would be sufficient. What do I wear surfing in hawaii?
I'm going to Hawaii next month and I'm shopping ahead of time. I plan to take a surfing lesson there the first time I know I don't need a wetsuit since the water is warm, so what should I wear? I heard the wax is rough on your stomach, so should I wear a rashguard? And if not a rashguard, would a one-piece protect me from a rash (except it has some cutouts)? Please answers only from people who are familiar with hawaii surfing. What would you recommend to wear for surfing in hawaii? BQ is it weird for a girl to wear a one-piece while surfing?

hi i live in nor-cal and i wear a wetsuit but it depends on where you are like if your in so-cal you wear board shorts because the water their is warm and + you get to laugh at all the so-cal people who think its cold... haha im just messing with you bro^^^^ if its raining and windy during the winter time ill wear a wetsuit in so-cal Oh and wear a bikini 2 piece with board shorts over it.. or you can go rash guard with board shorts or Just bikini, the best looking is a tank top rash guard with a bikini bottom and the most comfortable is a long sleeve rash guard with board shorts but any combinationwith bikini board shortsand rash guard will be fine.
How do you wash black clothes without making them fade?
Turn the hoodie inside out before you put it in the washer. Then wash & rinse it in cold water. That will help reduce fading. Use a coloursafe detergent or one made for dark clothes like Zero & wash with other dark clothing. I know they did a consumer tests results and the one that faded the least was Cheer (original formula). If you soak the hoodie in white vinegar just before you put it the wash for the 1st time, that will help seal the colour too.
Laundry: What color load should you wash a black and white checkered flannel material shirt, in whites or darks?
Hi! When doing laundry of tricky pieces like black and white shirt always select cold water, and use a very good quality soap like tide.If you need to choose between white or black in the machine choose black because when you select white it means that the machine is going to use hot water and that can cause colours to mix and you can end with a full load of grey clothes or what's more usual pink if mixing red and other light colours.I would mix in the machine black and white shirts with grey and beige clothes. It's good to read clothes specifications to see if some fabric needs to be dry cleaned or hand washed. Good luck!
