Help Problem With Kitten

Help!! Kitten problems!!?

I’ve recently brought home a kitten (Mavis), I decided to get another to keep my other kitten (Cordelia) company. I thought that Cordelia would be the one to really hate having another kitten around the place, even though I’ve only had her around a week now but this is her home but it turns out that Mavis really doesn’t like Cordelia... she keeps hissing and spitting but I can’t slowly introduce them because when I separate them Mavis cries until I let her out. Cordie is a really playful kitten and she’s trying her hardest to make friends with Mavis but Mavis isn’t having any of it. I really don’t know what to do, it’s only been one night but any advice on this would be great!

Problem with 1 week old Kitten: Help?

My cat just had her first litter, her being a year old this month, of five kittens. She had a really long labor and complications with it so I had to help. Four of the kittens have died sadly because she hadn't been cleaning them and I realized too late because she was staying with them constantly. Now I've been taking the liberty of helping the kitten go potty every couple hours but it seems like white puss like stuff is coming out of the kittens pee hole/vagina. If the kitten were older I would have thought it was a dead worm once. However it's not moving isn't always very thick and her back legs can be wet like she peed as well. Her tummy is bloated which I assumed was from being backed up but she's still bloated.

I know I'm making her potty correctly as I had to take care of three abandoned kittens once which I nursed from week one to them being independent. Also the white puss stuff comes out sometimes when I'm not making her defecate and I'll find it randomly and have to clean it up.

I'm asking here because I'm not sure if it's from being backed up and/or if I need to go to vet, which I'm willing to do, but we don't have a walk in vet clinic and aside from that she seems to be healthy.

Your help is much appreciated because I've not had to deal with something like this before and I'm worried but I don't know if I'm worrying too much.

Problem introducing two kittens help!?

The first thing you need to do is keep the new cat in one room! Feed both cats on either side of the door! One on one side and one on the other! This will allow them to get used to the scent of each other. After a few days, open the the door to the room! However keep the feeding bowls far apart from the other one. Each day move the bowls a little closer together. This will allow the to get used to each other slowly! Whenever you see the short haired kitten picking on the other one, pick up the new cat and give him lots of love and maybe even a treat. Then temporarily ignore your other cat! This will show him that the behavior will not be rewarded! Also, when doing this, do not let them eat out of each other's food bowls! This could cause a fight you don't want!
Hope this helps!!!

How can we "firm up" our kitten's diarrhea problem?

Last week we had our 3 month old kitten tested after she had diarrhea. It turns out she has/had coccidia (intestinal parasites) that we were told we easy to get rid of and we started her on her meds. For the past 3 days she has still had the diarrhea (she is eating and we feed her dry kitten Science Diet) and we were wondering if there is anything we could add to her food or diet to help make her stools more solid. OR...it is just a matter of waiting until she is done with the meds? I am betting the meds aren't helping her stools since it is killing off whatever coccidia she had/has in her.

My kitten is around 3-4 weeks old but won't poo. How do I help her?

You should massage (gently!) with a wet cloth or cotton ball not only her tummy but her anus too, to mimic her mother’s licking. That’s how cat moms stimulate normal bowel function in their kittens. Take a cotton cloth or a cotton ball, soak it in warm water, then wring it so it is damp but not very wet, and massage her tummy and anus gently, without applying too much pressure, in circular movements. Ideally, this should be done every 4 hours when the kitten is that young, but every time you can do it will help. Also, mind what you feed her. Regular cow’s milk could be indigestible for her and cause very serious and potentially fatal digestive problems. There is a cat milk replacement product you can get from most vets, but this tends to be rather pricey. If that is a problem, you can try feeding her heavy cream as this is richer in calories and lower in potentially problematic lactose. Also, lactose-free milk products for humans can help, but, again, check out if the prices are OK with you. Good luck with the kitty!

Brand New Kitten Has Bugs. Is this a BIG problem?

I agree with the others, take them to the vet if you can. Otherwise just try giving them baths and picking the fleas off or combing them with a lice comb. If the kittens or the mom eat the fleas (through grooming) they can get tape worm.

Help. My kitten is having slight breathing problems and sneezing/wheezing. Any ideas?

I just got my six week old kitten on Saturday, and he seemed to be sneezing quite a bit. Starting last night, this turned into more of a wheezing sound and he keeps sometimes keeps him mouth open a bit while doing this as if he is having trouble breathing. He went from being really playful to just wanting to lay around in my arms and looking up at me as if to ask for help. He has one eye that looked like he was crying, but I wouldn't call it runny either. Any ideas?

I will call my vet when she opens at ten, but anything I can do to save another vet visit would be great, as I just took the dog a few days ago for his shots and bloodwork, and that cost me over $150 and my blue toungue skink has been treated weekly over the last two months for a bad molt that caused him to lose two toes, so that added up, and I am a single parent with two part time jobs not totaling 30 hours a week, so I don't have extra money. I'm going without eating to do this and feed my kid! Any help would be great.
