Help Sensitive Skin And Allergic Reaction

Allergic reaction to face wash? URGENT HELP!?

i have very sensitive skin, and i never get acne. i was at my friend house when i used: Neutrogena Deep Clean Gentle Scrub. after i use it, my skin was very soft and smooth. i woke up with to red patches on my face, with little bumps all over. i thought it would go away but it didnt. it's a little itchy, too. but i barely scratch it. after i got out of the shower, my mom put antibiotic ointment all over my face, and the redness has gone down but it's still there. the very noticeable bumps havent. they're everywhere on my face. i wanted to put aveeno daily moisterizing lotion on it [fragrance free, made with natural ingredients] but she said no. she's no skin master, either. i am not in reach of a dermatologist, [where i originally wanted to go] and i need help. is there anything i can get to make it clear up?

How to help a allergic reaction on the face?

I put Sea Breeze astringent on my face about 5 minutes ago. (Literally) and now im positive I'm having an allergic reaction to it. I have sensitive skin as it is. But my face is red all over, and is slightly puffy, and has a burning feeling, and its real hot. I rinsed my entire face with water real well, and massaged my pores to hopefully get the astringent off of my face, but what else can I do to help it??? Any answers help! And so people don't start yelling at me like the do with other people I HAVE been googling it trying to find anything to help, and I haven't found anything to treat it immediately. Thanks!! (:

Is there anything to help severe allergic reaction to hair removal cream?

OK some people have suggested that you put lotions and Vaseline on your legs. Please take my advice and don't the reason why is because Vaseline and lotions are like putting a thermal blanket over your skin particularly Vaseline it does not allow your skin to breath which is what your skin needs. You more then likely have a chemical burn from the product. When people think of burns they generally think of blisters and contacting a source of heat which is not always the case. You need to take a shower to make sure that you get all of the product off of your legs and allow nature to take its course. If they don't get better in a few days or get worse I hate to say it but you might have to visit the doctor.

How do you treat an allergic reaction to the face?

Above all else, stop using the face wash causing the reaction. Judging from the description you are providing, I would guess your symptoms have been with you for a while. My chief concern would be for your health. I would be very concerned if you noticed your air way tightening, wheezing, swelling all over your body, difficulty swallowing...etc. I would recommend, unless you are allergic or have already done so, take Benadryl or Clariton both of which are antihistamines. If you notice any worsening of your symptoms I would strongly recommend you see a doctor because allergic reactions can be deadly, and I do not say this lightly. If your airway seems tighter, your throat begins to swell, you begin wheezing, begin feeling short of breath, begin to have excessive swelling all over your body even without itching, I would recommend you call 911 and inform them of your situation or present to the ER, or local Clinic. Let them be the ones to say it is nothing to worry about rather than find out later when you are not able to call, drive, or breathe.

My face skin is very sensitive. What are natural solutions?

1) for sensitive skin, I wash with "free and clear liquid cleanser in the morning and night. This cleanser will tighten your pores. So will egg whites and give your skin an even tone. Open pores are caused by dirt. Make sure you take care of your pores Asap because open pores end up being wrinkles.2) Shea butter will give you great moister and has a natural SPF. Use that every other night. But I highly suggest Skin Ceuticals - retexturing activator. It's a chemical exfoliant.3) drink lots of water and white tea If you recently developed this chronic dry red skin, it could be an infection. This doesn't heal over night;( takes 1 week. I hope you feel better

Anafalaxis? A mild to severe allergic reaction?

Anaphalaxis is not a skin reaction. It is a very bad reaction that causes respiratory distress, not a skin rash. If you were experiencing anaphalaxis, you would not be sitting at the computer typing, you would be in an emergency room somewhere.

I think I'm allergic to Olay moisturizer for sensitive skin?

Thank you gals! It really was the moisturizer. After reading the first two answers, I stopped using it last night. I woke up this morning and my face is smooth again! No more little dots (except a few baby pimples). :)

I've never had to use a moisturizer before, so I'm like a complete newbie. Plus, I hate experimenting with different moisturizers since I have sensitive skin. I bought the Olay because I saw my friend using it.

I'll leave the question open for a while hoping that maybe more recommendation would come in. :) Yeah, I do have oily/dry/sensitive skin. It's oily and dry at the same time, I don't really know how to explain it. Like there are flakes here and there (gets worse in the winter), but my face is also like a frying pan. Sensitive - my skin freaks out when it comes in contact with a lot of things that aren't a problem for my friends. :-\
