Help Set My Lineup Week 8

What's the Best fantasy football line up from week 7 and on?

QB: PeytonRB: Jamaal CharlesRB: Adrian PetersenWR: Megatron WR: Dez BryantTE: Jimmy GrahamFlex: Lesean Mccoy or Brandon MarshallDEF: Kansas CityK: Blair Walsh or somethingDon't pay much attention to Megatron's last couple injury plagued games -- he's the best WR in the NFL by a large margin. At WR, you can really make an argument for AJ Green, Marshall, Dez, Welker or Cruz and I wouldn't put up too much of a fight. At flex, it's whether you prefer high floors (Lesean Mccoy or Marshawn Lynch) or high ceilings (Brandon Marshall or AJ Green, etc.)You would still lose, of course, because it's fantasy football. But you wouldn't lose often.

How often should I change my player lineup in fantasy NBA standard leagues?

As often as is allowed. Most leagues have either daily or weekly adjustments. If you’re in a weekly league, make sure most of all your guys are playing at least three or ideally four times in a week. If it’s a daily league just make sure every starting position is filled with a player playing that day.If you maintain your roster regularly, you’ll be better than half the league (so many teams drop off because owners get busy, forget to manage their rosters etc.).

Yahoo fantasy football lineup glitch?

Between the glitches and the new format, have you ever thought of just trying a different site for fantasy football? Consider trying a site like draftstreet. Draftstreet is a daily/weekly fantasy site that offers several different formats (snake, pick'em, salary cap) to fit your fantasy needs. They are a very reliable site with a more aesthetic appeal. With all the problems yahoo has been having lately, consider checking them out. Do note that although they offer money leagues as well, there are plenty of free leagues to keep you busy.

If you've never considered daily/weekly fantasy sports, I highly recommend you at least check it out. Unlike season long leagues, daily/weekly leagues are great in that each week is a fresh start. If a player is injured, or just turns out to not be performing up to snuff, you can correct your team easily and stop feeling the sting of that player very quickly. If you are the type that likes to outfox your opponent in the drafting stages, you get the opportunity to do this for every week of games. It is quite invigorating.

The link to the site can be found below if you wish to try it out. Good luck!

In fantasy basketball, can I change the players in my lineup daily or are they locked for the week?

First year playing Fantasy basketball; have played FF for years. But basketball is obviously different. If I pick a player and they play on Monday, can I change him out for a bench player who plays on Tuesday, and so on and so forth throughout the week? Or are the players locked in for a week once I have them in my starting lineup and they play a game?

My league is head-to-head; Weekly deadlines are set to Daily-Tomorrow.

Thanks.

Is it fair in fantasy football for the commisioner to adjust line ups for managers?

Let me give you some history it was week 9. I am undefeated; it was the bye week for most of my good players. However, I played against the worst team in the league 0-8. You can tell several weeks ago that the Manager had given up. The first game is played on Thursday. Friday of week 9, the commissioner went in and made changes to the lineup of the team I was playing like picking up free agents adjusting starters and flex. I lost because I predicted that this player would have the lineup I saw on Thursday. The QB I would have picked up would have been Kolb of the eagles (7 TD’s) they picked him up instead. Therefore I kept some player prospects that I may have released to acquire free agents to get me through the bye week. Today I went in and discovered the commissioner did not adjust the lineup for the manager after week 9 nor did they do that before week 9, only week 9 when I played them. I won the Championship last year and prior had won 15 games stemming from last year
Is it considered fair for the commissioner to do this? Isn’t this cheating I don’t mind losing if it is fair but I think this is a coward way of beating me? They advertise no one ever went undefeated in this league. I have been in it since 2005. Won 2009.2012 give it to me straight is this morally fair or a weak way of keeping the league without a undefeated team

My Wife's uncle has a team, and so does his 14 year old son.

He just tried trading Philip Rivers straight up for Matt Schaub. Is this a fair trade? The league vetoed it and got 4 votes to take it down, btw. He threatened to drop rivers when his son get's #1 waiver, but then I explained the undroppable list.

Now this week his son and his team are HEAD-to-HEAD. What did he do? He benched his entire team, so his son will get a FREE win this week.

Any advice? Would also like any opinions on the entire situation.

Thank you

Should I start James Jones or Marques Colston in week 6?

Colston.

with colston you will probably only get 6 to 8 points but you have a better chance for double digit points.

Aaron rogers spreads he ball around so much. he hit 12 different targets last week. Plus the majority of his passes and targets to WRs have been at jordy nelson and greg jennings

Winning isn't everything so why make children compete?

To make them play fair, & to encourage them to constantly work on & improve their abilities.Giving children an 11th place ribbon merely for turning up doesn't encourage them to do their best & gives them a false sense of security as it doesn't reflect real life outside the classroom. There are instances when it's incorrect to make children compete, as well as instances when encouraging children to compete is good. Your biggest competition is yourself, you should always try to beat your own records.

What are some good tips for fantasy football beginners?

As mentioned in a previous answer, the most important thing is to know your league rules. Everything else dominoes off of that. Playing in a keeper or dynasty league? Younger talent gets a bump in the rankings. Points per reception? Then bump up players who get a lot of targets. Value fluctuates between leagues based on the different variations of scoring out there.Practice. There are plenty of sites out there where you can set up and run through a mock draft. Use them. Mock drafts can help you get a feel for how players are valued and test out different strategies from different positions. See what works for you. Mocks can help you figure out how to put together a team that you’ll be happy with before the draft even starts.During the draft stay organized and pay attention. Good players sometimes fall through the cracks and can be had for incredible value for savvy owners to snap up.Pay attention to the position runs. Sometimes it’s an opportunity to snatch premium talent from other positions and sometimes you might need to participate in the run depending on your player rankings. Say for example you have 8 QB’s you’re content with having as your starter. A run starts and by the time it’s your pick 7 are gone with 3 QB needy teams picking behind you. If you really want that particular one you better grab them now because odds are they aren’t making it back to you at your next pick.Be flexible. Each draft is unique and no two are the same. No matter how many mocks you do, how many rankings you scour, and how well you think you know your league mates, your always going to have to make adjustments to your strategy on the fly. Being able to adjust to the trends and the runs during the draft is a must to build your squad.Drafting your squad is only the first step. Pay attention to what is happening during the season. Guys get hurt, suspended, and potential replacements come out of nowhere. Work the waiver wire to pick up additions to fill in any soft spots that your roster develops. It’s already been said, but it bears repeating. Have fun. At the end of the day it’s your team. You can run it however you want.
