Help Should I Dye At Home .

I'm asian, what colour should i dye my hair??? HELPP!?

Opinion: depends on eye color and skin color

I'm asian too, I have light brown eyes and dark brown hair. I dyed my hair red, it looks great (LOL :P). Try brown or re-brown. Normally black looks like your wearing a wig.

If you get brown it won't come off easily, it will probably last several months. But for red, it will come off and slowly start to fade more easily.
Choose wisely, If you have short bangs I don't prefer black because it will sorta make your hair look like a wig. If you have side bangs I recommend dark brown of a lighter brown if you prefer.

WARNING: if your hair stylist puts it on your scalp it can burn your head (you probably won't feel it) and dandruff and your head skin will come off in little pieces.

How to fix a botched at-home dye job at home??

I wanted to go red (and still look natural) and my friend kinda screwed it up.

It's generally the color I wanted, but it seemed to take more on the roots/top of my head than the ends, so the ends are still pretty much my natural color (light brown). Also, she missed a spot at the roots at the very front of my crown - right where I part my hair! -, and I think it's very noticeably *not* red.

How do I fix this? I was thinking about buying another box of dye, but this time of the Garnier Nutrisse in Hot Tamale (it's described as "blonde auburn" but I guess I would describe it more as a light, coppery red). Will dyeing my whole head again just make the missed spots look even worse? Or will it pretty much cover the ends and make my hair one uniform color? Should I buy another box of the *same* dye?? Please help!!

FYI: I'm not really worried about damage...my hair's pretty healthy and it's very oily, so it's never dry. I've dyed my hair in close succession before (but never with 2 different reds) and never had any issues.

Hair Dye Help?

You can go to Sallys Beauty Suppy, they have everything you need and its cheaper and professional products. You can buy the developer ( I prefer the number 3, its faster) and buy a bottle of color. The people there are always there to help you with everything. This way you can mix ( when you mix the developer and color its easy. It should not be runny, it should be creamy so mix equal parts)all you want and get the job done. I highly recommend it! Also you can buy a sallys discount card , good for one year for 5 bucks it makes your purchases cheaper.

Should I dye my hair at home or at the salon?

I have light brown/dark blonde hair and I was thinking about dyeing it a lighter reddish color, but not that far from what it already is. I wouldn't dye it too much lighter so I don't think I'd need to bleach it. Would doing it by myself and saving a lot of money vs going to the salon be worth it? Are specific red shades harder to achieve doing it myself?

Should I dye my hair before I go on holiday?

So I'm going to Spain in Sunday, and I need to get my hair dyed. I dye my hair a dark red (so no bleach). Last year I had blond highlights and when I went on holiday it got really dry (I know the sun will do this to any hair colour) and the pool water turned it green! Is this just because it was bleached or should I not dye it untill I come home?

Should I use developer 40 to help dye my hair res?

I have long, black, thick wavy/curly hair. I dyed my hair red with loreal hilights for
Dark her + 30 developer. Midway down my hair did not take as good as the first half. Should i redo t with 30 or 40?

I have never dyed my hair before and i never flat iron it. Should i just use the 40 to get the brightest I want?

If someone put hair dye on their hair, put a shower cap on, and then blew dry it with the setting on hot and low, what would happen to their hair?

This is recommended for semi permanent hair dyes (like manic panic) that do not have a bleaching agent in them. With these eyes hair drying after putting on a shower cap is recommended because the heat helps the colour to take hold. However, if you're using a developer along with your colour you should refrain from this, since that already contains powerful chemicals that will strip your hair of its natural colour and help the colour to stay on.I am not entirely certain whether this process will be helpful or not in case you've bleached your hair first and are now applying a colour or a toner to it.

Is it easy to dye hair grey/silver at home for a first timer ?

Hiii I’m a guy 23 years old and I’ve NEVER dyed my hair and I have sensitive skin and dandruff if that means anything.. I want to change my hair from a dirty blonde/very blonde in the summer to a grey or silver look.. I wanna do semi permanent so it’s not on my hair for forever.. I was just wondering if it’s easy enough to do at home or should I see a salon about this?

Does applying heat while coloring your hair at home, help retain the color, longer?

If you are using box non professional color PLEASE for the love of your hair do NOT put heat on the color. Box color has metallic salts in them along with other chemicals. Heat is rarely suggested when coloring hair anyway. But no it does not help retain color nor keep the color longer. The main thing heat does is process the color faster.
