is there another catch to this?
hope that helps

Help with simple math probability?

okay, first add up your total. Add the total number of boys & girls in each group together. That number will be your denominator for the first question. then add up the total number of girls and put it over the total number of spanish club members there are. (the denominator you found out in the first part I gave you.) Divide. There's your percentage.

for number 27: add the total number of seniors together to get your denominator. then put the number of girls on top of the denominator. divide.

number 28: put the number of boys in the senior category, over the total number of spanish club members total. divide.

and that's it! Hope you could follow, i'm a bad tutor. :p

Simple math help?

Samira needs 22 quarts of lemonade to fill a dispenser. She plans to buy 7 jugs of lemonade. Each jug contains 3.3 quarts.

Is this a reasonable plan?

A.
Yes, it is reasonable because each jug contains a little more than 3 qt of lemonade. So 7 jugs will equal a little more than 22 qt.

B.
No, it is not reasonable because each jug contains about 3 qt. So in order to get 22 qt, she needs more than 7 jugs.

C.
No, it is not reasonable because each jug contains about 7 qt. She needs to buy 4 jugs to be sure she has enough lemonade

Need help on some simple math questions!!?

1. circumference = diameter x 3.14

2. ok, first draw a picture of this box. Then label its' length, width, and height. By looking at your picture and the lengths, you can find the area of each side. Then you'd just add all of those areas together to get the "total" surface area of the whole box. To find the area of one side (which will be one rectangle), all you need to know is the base and hight for that rectangle (you multiply these together to get one area). After you do this for each side & add them up, be sure to label your answer as being square cm (because we're finding area), not just cm!

3. Ok. A cube always has square sides. A square is always the same length on each side, so since they gave you the "length", you can also know that the "width" and "height" are the same as that. In a cube, volume = length x width x height. Be sure to label this answer as being cubic inches, not "inches" or "square inches"!

4. Area of a square or rectangle = base x height. Now remember what we said about a square? it's the same length on all sides. So now you know that "some number" x "that same number" = 81. What is that number?

Another simple math question?

first, start working out the amounts to get an idea of how the number increases.

initial amount @ 00:00 hrs --> 22
01:00 hrs ---> 44
02:00 hrs --> 88
03:00 hrs --> 176

and so on.

basically, for there to be 1400 cells, the amount was doubled several times.

therefore, 1400/2^x = 22 is the simple formula for the exponential growth.

this is because, 22 was doubled and then the number obtained was doubled again and again and so on, until we get 1400.

Therefore, put x as subject of the formula using logs and you have the answer.

1400/22 = 2^x
log(1400/22) = xlog2
x= [log(1400/22)]/log2

solve using calculator.

Similarly for the second part:

200/22 = 2^x
log 200/22 = xlog2

x= [log(200/22)]/log2

and solve again using calculator

Simple Math question for my son, i dont get it!!!! ?

Okay so I don't do know which grade your son is in but this is a pretty simple way i'm about to explain.

Alright so let x = the no. of purple picks, and y = the no. of green picks (we could use any letter we want but I just chose x and y because they're the most common letters used in algebra)

We know that the 22 guitar picks are either green or blue so we can say:

x + y = 22 (i)

We also know that there are six more purple picks than green picks, therefore:

x = y + 6 (ii)

So as you can see we have two simultaneous equations which we can solve pretty easily by a number of methods but I'm just going to use the substitution method:

By substituting equation (ii) into equation (i) we get :

(y + 6) + y = 22
y + 6 + y = 22
2y + 6 = 22
2y = 22 -6
2y = 16
y = 16/2
y = 8

If y = 8 therefore from equation (ii):

x = y + 6
x = 8 + 6
x = 14

therefore there are 8 green picks and 14 purple picks :)

HOPE THIS HELPED!

Thanks for A2A.I don't follow these types of questions neither I do answer these type of questions.Joke answer : According to my view people follow these types of questions because they might get confused after watching so many 2's. As here are six 2's. In which two 2's are together to make a 22. And rest are kept alone. Also after watching many ‘+’ sign. As here are four ‘+’ sign. In which two are being used as ‘+’ sign and other two are being rotated by 45 degrees make another mathematical operator called product. They also get mesmerised by the beauty of number 2 as it is the only even prime number.Actual answer : As per my knowledge people are interested in knowing different methods of solving a problem. Also you will see hundred s of answer for such simple question because people can answer only simple questions. *No offense *.P. S : It may be also be possible that people don't know how to use follow button * No offense again *. Period.Thank you.
