Help Symmetrical Lumps On Head For 4 Years

How do I prevent my tie knot to be asymmetrical?

If you want symmetry switch to a bow tie. Worse still get one of the pre-tied bow ties as they're so perfect everyone knows they're pre-tied. Most long tail ties will have some degree of asymmetry to them. You can minimize it by going with the full Windsor knot (there are online diagrams which can show you how to tie it) rather than the half Windsor not. I always wear half Windsor as I've always hated a big full knot, but that's all a matter of personal preference and sartorial expression.

Why is the human body relatively symmetrical on the exterior but not so on the interior?

Our bodies are more or less symmetrical on the inside as well. Organs which are two in number are placed symmetrically inside the body. This is to balance the weight on both sides and to have a functioning one on the other side, just in case one of them receives an injury. Even the intestines are quite symmetrically placed in the abdomen. The pharynx, esophagus, etc., are also symmetrical. The brain is also symmetrical and is divided into left and right hemispheres that are joined together by the corpus callosum. The primary organs that cause the deviation in symmetry are those that are only one in number and are not placed centrally. These include: the heart, liver, stomach, pancreas, gall bladder, spleen, etc. We need only one heart and that is also present more or less in the center (behind the sternum) with a slight arch towards the left. The heart itself is symmetrical with four chambers. One lung is slightly smaller than the other. This is because that lung also has to give a little bit of space to the heart in the thoracic cavity. The stomach, liver, etc. cause asymmetry. but that asymmetry is caused because of their specific shapes (which helps in their normal functioning) and their slightly left or right placement which helps to accommodate 20 feet of small intestines, 5 feet of large intestines, and other organs, vessels, etc. Not to mention, the liver is a pretty big organ itself. This placement of the liver and stomach also help to accommodate the pancreas which is present in between the liver and stomach (behind the stomach). So, to sum it up, our body is pretty symmetrical. The person who made it, tried to make it as symmetrical as he possibly could. Several anatomical figures (like the one mentioned in the question) show the body to be more asymmetrical than it is. This is because they do not label the same muscles, bones, blood vessels on both sides of the image and label different things on each side of the image (which might be present on both sides) in order to increase the detail. They also try to represent different layers of the body in a 2D image which distorts the reality a little. Not to mention, their might be slight differences present, but hey, it is a biological system. Nothing is precise. But, everything is perfect.

2 lumps on the back of my head/neck feels like a bone?

There are lymph glands in that area of your neck, just like the ones under your chin and in front of your ears. They can swell up just like the other ones can if you have an infection in your body. If they don't get smaller in a few days, check with your M.D.

Why do I get symmetrical pimples?

Hi Sameer, the law of symmetry is at work. Symmetry in biology is the balanced distribution of duplicate body parts or shapes. In nature and biology, symmetry is approximate. So the reason pimples formed on one side at one spot, would be same reason they grew at the mirror image location which you have experienced. So it’s basically nothing to panic about. Also, several organs in the body like the liver or kidney can cause break outs on the skin if there is a toxin build up.You might want to try a detox and see how fast things change. Your skin will be less prone to break outs if your cells are healthy

What are the causes of a hard lump under the skin of the jawline?

Depending on the size and location of the lump under the jaw or “"mandible” you could be feeling a salivary gland or lymph node. As far as glands are concerned, the submandibular gland is the likeliest culprit, especially if you have tenderness in the area of the lump. The lymph nodes under the jawline are in the “cervical chain” and can be enlarged or inflamed due to several conditions. Inflammation of the oral cavity or throat can lead to enlarged lumps under the jawline which are most likely lymph nodes responding to a viral infection. This is the most likely cause of your lump.

Lumps at top of throat above adams apple.?

Hello, I have got about 4 little pea size lumps at the front of my throat above the adams apple (2 on each side, dead opposite) , I have had these for a few months, possibly longer I just never noticed them before, I'm 17 and don't smoke or do drugs. People tell me they are lymph nodes? I am a hypochondriac and when it comes to Google, Google is no longer my friend as it just says CANCER! I have had so many sleepness nights worrying about them. Please tell me what you think they could be?

Is it normal to have bumps on your skull as if the spine is on your head too? It’s perfectly aligned with my spine too.

Is it normal to have bumps on your skull as if the spine is on your head too? It’s perfectly aligned with my spine too.Yes. Your skull is made up of a number of bony plates that, in infants, can move and shift around. During growth, these bony plates finally shift into permanent places and fuse together at meeting lines called sutures. Sometimes, these lines form ridges and other times they are flat and cannot be felt. From Wikipedia article on The Skull —BonesExcept for the mandible, all of the bones of the skull are joined together by sutures—synarthrodial (immovable) joints formed by bony ossification, with Sharpey's fibres permitting some flexibility. Sometimes there can be extra bone pieces within the suture known as wormian bones or sutural boneseg.Lambda bone. The human skull is generally considered to consist of twenty-two bones—eight cranial bones and fourteen facial skeleton bones. In the neurocranium these are the occipital bone, two temporal bones, two parietal bones, the sphenoid, ethmoid and frontal bones. The bones of the facial skeleton(14) are the vomer, two nasal conchae, two nasal bones, two maxilla, the mandible, two palatine bones, two zygomatic bones, and two lacrimal bones. Some sources count a paired bone as one, or the maxilla as having two bones (as its parts); some sources include the hyoid bone or the three ossicles of the middle ear but the overall general consensus of the number of bones in the human skull is the stated twenty-two.Some of these bones—the occipital, parietal, frontal, in the neurocranium, and the nasal, lacrimal, and vomer, in the facial skeleton are flat bones. It makes sense that you might be able to feel those suture lines if you happen to be one of the many people whose bony plates don’t happen to fuse flat. They follow the lines formed by the rest of your skeleton, and could very well feel like extensions of your spine. I wouldn’t worry about it, but if you do, mention it to your doctor the next time you have a regular visit with him/her. No need for a special visit.

Help!! My penis is lopsided?

yea, it's totally normal. my boyfriend's penis is lopsided and i LOVE it- it hits my G-spot perfectly (b/c a girl's G-spot is straight up, and often a bit to the side... depending on the girl)

as far as 'fixing it'.... anything unnatural u do down there will very likely hurt erection chances (but u'll still be horny.... what a curse! horny but no erection!).... that's surgery. or putting it in a toilet paper roll for MONTHS

Dog looks like she's growing a horn on her head?

Our chocolate lab/whippet is one year old. We got her from a shelter in Feb. 2009. When we got her, the velvety fur on her ears was gone and the skin was white, crusty, and scabby looking. There was also some of this oddly textured skin on the top of her head. We thought she had mange, so we took her to the vet immediately. They did a skin scraping of her ear and the top of her head. There were no signs of mange. It ended up being that her ears were BADLY impacted with dirt, wax, blood, and pus because the humane society wasn't taking proper care of her. The vet gave us some disgusting liquid to clean out her ears with & we followed the instructions. Within a week, her ears were no longer impacted. The fur had grown back by March (the next month). When they did the skin scraping, they cut a dime sized piece of skin off the top of her head (didn't scrape it, but actually sliced a layer of skin off). She looked like she'd been shot or something.

Well, it's now 7 months later, and the site where they cut her head is looking funky. For about a week now, it has looked like a knot under her fur and the skin is somewhat crusty. I didn't see a tick or bite mark. She looks like she's growing a horn =/ She keeps shaking her head, so I've been cleaning out her ears again and gently rubbing the spot on her head.

I have been thinking maybe she had hit her head on something (she rough-houses quite a bit) and that it was just a knot. But it's not really going away (not getting bigger either). Any ideas of what this might be before we shell out $40 at the vet?

By the way, we take really good care of her. She's on K9-Advantix, the Interceptor pill (heart worm preventative), UTD on all vaccinations, and we feed her Canidae All Life Stages.
