Help Telling My Parents About What I Like To Do

How should i tell my parents im bi?

hey!!!
well i am bi also and i havn't told my parents either and we are cathlolic to. honestly i would not tell your parents unless you are the type of person who does not care what other ppl think. my parents are very judgmental and there is no way they will except it. and you are barely 15 you have a whole life ahead of you. mabe you should wait a little longer to tell them. i mean once you are 18 you are on your own. no one can tell you what to do. and mabe if you do decide to tell them in the future they cant tell you how to run your life only YOU can! never change cuz someone doesnt like you for who you are....they are not worth it!!!

How do I tell my parents that I want to seek mental help?

Hi.I completely understand your situation. Let me tell you a few things that might help you.Convincing parents that you need mental help can be tough. Hence I recommend you to sit and talk to them about how you are feeling. Tell them how you feel on a day to day basis, tell them any physical discomforts such as chest pain (the one you have mentioned) that you are facing on a day to day basis. Talking to them about your problems out with them will help them realise the struggle you are going through.Gently ask them if they have any suggestion. Listen to them patiently. If they say “cheer up” or “it’s just a phase” or even things like “oh don’t worry everything will be fine eventually”, then make sure to show them some educational videos. I usually suggest the Ted Ed video because it explains depression in common terms. You can find the link here :It is important to make them understand that depression cannot be gotten over just by trying, exactly like how you cannot get well from fever by just “trying”.Make them understand that depression is “Curable”. The person only needs medication for 6–12 months (if the person is mildly depressed) to come out of it and live a normal life.If they are unwilling to listen or understand, then I would suggest you visit a “Psychologist” by yourself and explain your family situation to him/her. Convince your parents accordingly to come along with you and talk to the psychologist to understand your situation better.Look up psychologists in your area on Google. If you are a person who resides in bangalore then I would suggest you visit Dr Vidya Satyanarayanan in St. JOHN’S Hospital. She is available every Tuesday/ Friday. Make sure to calla nd take an appointment before you visit.Hope things work in your favour! :)All the best! :)

How do I stop cutting and should I tell my parents?

Plain and simple you cute for attention. This isn't a Diss, this is real life. On the inside you were pained, and it got to a point where you probably didn't feel anything…some people cut to see if they can still feel (me in high school), and others cut to remind them of their mistakes (which is foolish, learn from your mistakes don't hurt yourself with them). No matter why you cut, the issue is your pride or your ignorance keeps you from telling someone you have a problem (emotional, suicidal, schizo, etc), and the cutting no matter how hard you hide it is you crying out for help. You want someone to be like what the fuck why do you do that??? You want to know someone cares.Should you tell your parents….maybe. Know that you will get the help you need if your parents pay attention to you. That means shrinks, medications, and open doors. Sometimes its the parents that are the issue that lead you to cut. In that case tell someone that cares for you. A close friend, a sibling, your favorite cousin. We all have issues, and life only geta harder. I hid my suicidal thoughts my whole life, failed to kill myself over 4 times in different ways, and yet I'm still here….and so are the thoughts. I never acknowledged these thoughts and now in my adulthood they whisper and make some mountains out of mole hills.Do yourself a favor, put the blade down, pick up a reason to keep living. Reach out, people love you and care about you, even if you don't hear it everyday.

How do I tell my parents I cut?!?!?

So I've been cutting myself for like.. 3 years now. And it's getting really bad. Like, I mean, I can't even wear a friggen tank top cause my arms are all red and shizz. Anyways, I want to tell my parents so I can get help, but I don't know how to tell them.. Any suggestions?

How do i tell my parents that in bysexual?

14 is awfully young to pigeon-hole yourself. Why not wait a few years before you decide for sure? If you are bisexual, you still will be then. If you're not, you'll save yourself an awkward moment if you had told them now, and another one at a later time when you'd have to say, "Never mind". Either way, you're still the daughter of your parents, and nothing will have changed.

How do I tell my parents i adopted a dog?

Im 18 almost 19 years old. I go to college 6 hours away and i’ve wanted my own dog forever and now i can finally get one.
Im living in an apartment next year with my best friend and we both want a dog so we went to an animal safe haven and picked out our puppies!! I signed the paperwork and will get to pick her up before I leave for the summer. I am paying for her all by myself and will take care of her.
I’ve grown up with dogs all my life so I know they can be a hassle but i’m extremely committed to taking good care of her.
We currently have 4 dogs living in the house and my parents didn’t want me to get another because they do not think i will have the time or money to take care of her, but with my schedule for next semester I will have plenty of time to get a job and take care of her.
Im scared they’ll be pissed at me and tell me to get rid of it!
How do I tell my parents???
and please don’t bother commenting if you’re going to be rude saying things like “you’re irresponsible and stupid for doing that” thank you!!!

How do I tell my parents that I want to quit engineering?

Have you planned what you would do after this? DO you have your skills and goals which can let you proud for switching in future and not regret. Then you may certainly go for it.There is nothing in convincing parents. All they believe is you would be a good engineer and your life would be all set. You have to convince them you can't(If you really believe so). Even if the person qualifies through highest profession without any skill won't last long. This would be you after engineering. And trust me you will become the victim of recession that is currently appearing for the ones who don't know what they did in their studies. You have to explain this if you're really conscious about any other thing which you can make your future with. Otherwise just accept and try to be in it. Engineering is not bad either if you sink in it. It would give you ability to handle anything that comes in your life.
