Help What Should I Do To Help My Sicken Dry Face

Pets: How would a dog react if I tried to lick its face?

Lots of great answers here and especially a good warning from Ian Armstrong. Face licking (particularly the nose as Greg Chalik pointed out) is a dog's way of showing a bond and submission in the pack.  If you lick your dog, you are sending an amazingly confusing signal effectively trying to lower your status in the pack by demonstrating a very intimate submissive behavior.  Depending on the typical relationship with the dog, the dog may react with a hyperactive movement indicating the beginning of play to an all out aggressive display based in fear or frustration.I haven't ever licked a dog but I've hugged and tickled and played with many of them.  My worst experience happened earlier this year while grooming the winery dog, a dog that I've known for over 6 years and lived with for two.  He was laying on the patio and I sat down to pet him and pulled out a few stray fox tails (none of which were stuck in - they were just laying in the fur). I moved from the neck and continued back slowly toward the haunches.  He was relaxed and calm, laying on his side, his tail was thumping the ground and he seemed to be very much enjoying the attention.Within the blink of an eye he turned up and back at me snapping at my face which I was lucky enough to move out of range.  I rolled back and away from him and he continued the attack biting me eight times in the back of my left arm through a t-shirt and long-sleeve flannel. Here's what I got:My point is that dogs do not think like us, communicate like us or behave like us.  Why would we want to act like them without knowing what it means to them? It could be dangerous at the worst and confusing at the least.Don't lick the dog, Stevie.  (Just sounds like a name of someone who needs careful instruction (sorry Steve)).UPDATE April 8, 2016:  The dog died this week.  The owner's daughter now lives at the property where the dog resides and noticed that he had blood all over his side.  Thinking that he had a laceration she rushed him to animal emergency only to find that the bleeding was internal and that he had probably regurgitated the blood and lain in it.  The owner was contacted overseas and he asked that nothing be done until he returned.  The dog died the day before he returned.  I am still torn about my feelings for that dog and I will miss the times we spent together.

I'm crazy depressed about my acne. help?

so, i'm 18 and i've tried just about everything to help my moderate acne. in 2009, my acne has progressively gotten worse and worse and worse to the point where i don't even want to go to school. when i look at pictures of me from earlier in the year when i had beautiful skin, it makes me want to cry. i cannot focus on anything while i'm in school except for 'who has acne and who doesn't'. practically every girl in all of my classes has completely clear skin, which makes me want to vomit. my sister doesn't even wash her face and she has no acne at all, while i've been on expensive perscription medication for 4 years and am now taking Yaz which will supposedly help my acne (i've been taking it for 4 months and have experienced NO good results so far; in fact, my acne is worse than when i started taking it)
the sad thing is, i'm not bad looking at all. i've always been pretty - i just have moderate acne which makes me terribly self conscious. it's becoming an obsession, and if my acne doesn't get better i think i'll just stop going to school because it's torture to sit in a class with the same people everyday comparing my skin to theirs.

is anyone else like this? i've even had thoughts of suicide because of the way i look. i'm an extremely jealous person, and it sickens me to go to school with countless people who don't even have to wear any foundation at all. i can't even imagine going to school without pounding on makeup everyday for 20 minutes.

Dry Scalp advice? Getting a bit desperate here.?

Dry scalp, itching and hair loss is caused by scalp and hair sickening products you apply- and is the cause of loss. Dry skin behind ears and on eyebrows is also product caused. By far the most harmful are shampoos - MANY have countless hair, scalp and even health harming harsh and toxic ingredients. See this site "Skin Deep Database -:A Feelgood Resource" and "Not Just a Pretty Face." Look in shampoos and you will see which are the most harmful and others which are safe or at least only minimally harming. NO SHAMPOOS are totally free of harmful toxic ingredients - even so called organic and totally natural ones.
Your daily use just worsens the problem. It's essential that you find less harming shampoos and other products or give them up altogether.(I did - see below ##)

I suffered from dry scalp and it worsened to severe dandruff and increasing hair loss.
This NATURAL, safe treatment stopped dandruff and loss almost straight away and also forced new growth. It has helped others on ANSWERS.

My girlfriend has become ugly. I love her, but I'm not physically attracted to her anymore. I am in a helpless situation. What should I do?

Okay. It's a bit old topic but Here is the other side. Depends on what you find ugly about her. Few months ago my bf told me I should take care more of my face skin cuz I started neglecting it. He never said I should wear make up or do some drastic changes on myself. He just said that for my good and I realised it. At first I was a bit upset. Trust me I started telling him to go and find someone else, more beautiful girl, and he was replying: “ I dont want to find someone else. I love you and I only tell you this because I care for you.” That repeated many times by the time , I started looking more in the mirror and noticed all those pimples that had appeared there, together with blackheads. Although, he was telling me I was beautiful, I really found it disturbing. And I should admitit is not really healthy and attractive. If you love that girl, give her advices how to treat herself, be her motivator. Show that you care. Sometimes we just need a little push in the right direction but it got to be with the right words. Be kind to her, not harsh. Never stop showing you love her, if you really do. I am maniak on being fit and sometimes go extreme in that direction. He always tells me is not healthy to diet and that he loves my body. Maybe some of you still will think he doesn't love me, but I see it in his actions, however, even if you are right, at least I know he was the motivation I needed in my life. That's how I respect myself more and do pay more attention to the details. I still don't wear any make up, I just take more care of my skin. Nice but honest words is is the key.
