Help with ideas for short films?
1 A model poses for a naturalist studies art class where you learn at the end of a long debate about be embarrassed by how people see him/her the model is tho only one dressed in the room and all the artists are naked. 2 Little boys and girls dressed up for a dance recital are lead into a ball room by their parents who all seem do happy and civil to one another and as usual the boys go to one side and the girls to the other and as the music starts it becomes apparent that the boys are there to dance with each other and girls the same as the parents just seem to be fine with the whole experience. 3 A lunch lady is told that no one else is showing up but that she must do her best. She looks at the empty kitchen and takes a deep breath and tears off her uniform and she is a super hero who speeds through cooking an entire meal for everyone and in the end she puts her uniform back on and starts to serve to the smiling faces of little school children and she smiles. 4 A woman goes into labor and her husband is trying to get her to the hopital through all sorts of obstacles and detours and twists in their pathway, and when he finally gets her to the door and is about to wheel her in, she sits in the chair and farts, ("False Alarm...Let's go get some Ice cream.") 5 Take the song "Let It Snow" and have a chef in the kitchen cutting meat and grinding sausage and then cooking it as he recites the lyrics in a scary voice while starring a at his cat. The door bell rings and christmas caroller are at the door as he invites them in for a bite to eat.
I need help for short film ideas!?
Umm.. hi, Sami. While I commend your desire and any work you're putting into making a film, and am all for people doing things their own way, this sounds like a very confusing and difficult non-traditional method for making a film. You're kind of creating a clusterfuck, pardon my language since you're still in school. What I would HIGHLY recommend, since just kicking around ideas (I'm really not even sure how that would work) probably won't get anyone very far, is figure out who amongst your group understands story best and is a decent writer. Have that person write a script. If you're not familiar with proper script formatting, look into learning the basics and using an open source program like Celtx. Or even just start by writing it out as prose. Then figure out who will be your talent and who will be your crew. Hold some auditions for parts. Cast them appropriately. Get someone with camera gear or connections to gear to film it after you create a shot list. Your director should be someone that has a vision for the script (maybe even the person who wrote it). It may sound more "limiting," but frankly, it works well and you'll probably find things happen a lot faster and more smoothly this way. Script -> money -> cast -> crew -> locations -> equipment -> principal photography -> editing is a very general and somewhat loosely arranged workflow, but is essentially the standard way any film is made. It's done that way for a reason, so give it a try! Hope to see your work at Sundance one day. :) And if you determine film to your passion, I would strongly recommend keeping at it and submitting your work to any competitions and festivals with low barriers to entry. At some point, you may consider moving to a larger market where it will be easier to network with other film professionals - being you're in high school, while film school is in no way necessary to a career in film, it can help you meet others and get some practice and general knowledge.

If you don't have any ideas for a short stories then you should make a short movie adaption of a short story that has gone into the public domain.Public domain means that it has no copyright and you can make a movie adaption about it. It will be good because most short stories are well known and people would love to see a movie about a well known story. Most people try to make Zombie movies and that tends to be unoriginal and worn out. Look up on YouTube "Zombie Short film" and look at how many there are. Lost in the pile of zombie short films. Scary short film ideas?
short scary film huh? I had an idea for this a month ago, but never used it, lol and I don't have the means...still I'd love to see it as a mini movie so if you like it, feel free to use!! :D (oh but beware, the idea is just bits and pieces I came up with at a pool once!) -Some kind of water creature in peoples pools. Moves around by the pool drains, underground through sewage, etc. Kills and eats people (maybe. Also, make it have some kind of purpose for the killings...I don't want it to just be like, rawr I'm a random monster who kills people in pools but I have no purpose. -_-) -Beginning shot/preview: a rich blonde girl, about 20 or so (and just make her look rich and spoiled like with painted nails, one of those skimpy bathing suits, curled hair, heels, full on makeup -even tho she's getting into a pool) at night. -The background should be dark and the pool lights on. As she's taking off her robe to get in, you see a ripple over the surface of the water and the lights flicker. (hehehe) Then the lights flicker. -She talks to herself, "Ugh those stupid lights...I have to talk to James to fix them tomorrow!" Then she hears a splash, goes to the pool curiously, and you see the shot go to her putting her feet in, slowly. The the shot goes to one of those split screen things, half water, half above water, and you have it as if from the creatures point of view. Then the camera (you'll need a water camera ^.^ heh, sorry) goes under and heads roward the pools stairs, where u see the girls feet, she's in to about her ankles. Then the camera goes close, and shows the creatures (hands? Claws?) and grabs her ankle, she falls, screams, then silense... (~suspense~) -Then it goes to the title name, and the credits begin showing the actresses, actors, lol. -Then it shows a bus, and a girl and boy (bro and sis) get off from the bus from school. It is summer break now. -When they go in for snacks their mom is reading a newspaper and the kids see its about a murdered girl. (Btdubs The kids are 14-girl and 12-boy) Yeah anyway that's as far as I thought, huh not much of an idea. Sorry. Come up with the rest yourself I got you started.. Just felt like sharing. You can always do thine about a zombie apocalypse. xD love those, lol. xx

I'm making a gay short film??? Ideas?
Ok. So I'm making a gay short film with my friend, but I need to write the script first. The problem is, idk what I should base it on. I have no story in my head. If you were gonna watch a movie about two teens, gay, what would you want it to be about, without one of them dying, and one of them is gonna start the film as a straight guy, and they just met each other. Not a porno, but a romance.
What is a good short action film idea?
I would say it depends on the location... If you live in a more urban area, maybe do some surivial thing, keept hostage, escape... However living in more of a rural area allows you to do much more, I would do some running in the scenes, maybe from someone. If you live near a coast and know how to sail, doing something that involves saving someone life in a bad situation would be good. However you may need more permission than any other things... I personally would make some Zombie thing as they are suitable in most areas, conditions and can have a have a twist ending! Also it can involve a bunch of actors so maybe other members of the club can help you? This could go really well and help promote yourself. In the long run publishing it on YouTube or anyother similar sites also heavily promote you, and lead to a nice life!! Anyway hope you do well! Hope I helped. Matt
