Help With Constant Nightmares

I have constant nightmares...HELP?

You have rerason to be concerned. Demons are very real and live in our world as I speak. The ones in the world today are adversaries of humans and seek to destroy our well being. There is a lot of information about demons but the bible is your best authority on these spiritual beings. But I will tell you that they are invisible but not limited to anything physical such as walls or people and may assume or appear in human form (2 Kings 2:11 & 6:17 and also in Revelations 9:1-12 ; 16:13-16).
You must take into account the veracity and reality of demons. Neil T. Anderson has a book called " The Bondage Breaker " and it depicts the ability of demons thourghly. I suggest you look it up because this vision that you've seen may be a beginning of several for whatever reason.
I too was introduced to Satan many years ago when I first gave my life over to Christ. It was terrifying to say the least. I too saw this black shadow. It was at night and the moon was shining through my bedroom window, when I came awake. I couldn't move, I was paralized by a fear so strong it imobilized me and there was a terrible stench, like burning matches (at that time I didn't realize that it was sulpher). My partner was laying beside me and I tried calling out to but no words were heard ( so my partner said later). I was really terrified and I didn't see anything as yet but I was paralized with an unknown fear. Then I heard clip-clop sounds ( like you would hear from a horse walking on a barn floor) at the foot of my bed ( had no rugs on my floors) and then I seen this thing, it more or less resembled a black shadow and I could vaguely make out certain features. It resembled a very tall man or thing walking upright, it had the facil features of a goat and had on a long tail-coat. It was very very creepy and the smell of sulpher was really overbearing, almost putrid, humid. This thing walked around my bed a few times, I couldn't move, I was calling out to my partner but wasn't heard, And then it lunged for me and I was wrestling with it until I remembered what I had learned from a fellow Christian to say. Call on the name of Jesus and demand the demon to get lost and that's what I did and it dissappeared. But I'll never forget it.
So remember they are real and if they can keep you from Christ he will do anything to steer you clear of God.
Hope this answers your question, God Bless

Constant Nightmares?

To dream that you have been killed, suggests that your actions are disconnected from your emotions. suggests that some important and significant relationship has been severed and you are trying to disconnect yourself from your emotions. It also represents your unused talents.

This dream may also represent a part of you or your life that you wish would leave you alone and stop creating a nuisance. Killing may represent the killing off of old parts of yourself and old habits.
To dream that you witness a murder, indicates deep-seated anger towards somebody. Consider how the victim represents aspects of yourself that you want to destroy or eliminate.

Constant nightmares..?

I read your question and some of the many answers you have been given. Curious that no one has come up with what is happening. You need to look into the metaphysical side. You are having an out of body experience and you are trying to come back into your body - but you woke up in the process. Your soul is struggling to get in and you are struggling to keep it out. Each night- say a prayer that you will have a fast and easy exit and re-entry. Also, keep a journal by your beside and when you awaken - before even getting out of bed, write down what you remember from your sleep. It would be best for you to possibly keep a light on in your room. The spirits/ghosts have found a way to communicate with you - that you are somewhat enlightened and are coming to you at night. Leave a light on and ask your Supreme Being/God/whoever to let you have a peaceful night sleep.

How to Stop Constant Nightmare?

I used to have Nightmares when I was a kid, Basically of Zombies Chasing me. However I later in life have become Desensitized to some dreams. Heck two weeks ago, I had a dream of the Sucide Forest in Japan with hanging people but it did not do anything to affect me. Anyways, When I had nightmares My dad would tell me to put my shoes Upside down and put it on the end of the bed. I never had a nightmare when my shoes were upside down.

There is a reason why the shoe trick works but I will not go into detail. I hope this trick works well. Also it is said that the last thought of the day influences how the dream goes. So thinking Happy thoughts before you go to bed may change the outcome of the dream.

Wife is having constant nightmares

May sound rather unusual but there are a few things she can try:
1. Sage and bless the entire house paying particular attention to the bedroom she is sleeping in.
2. If she has favorite crystals have her put them on her bedside table-the crystals will absorb the bad energy.
3. Play a relaxation CD when she is ready to go to bed or sounds she may enjoy, I like to listen to the ocean and she may also.
4. Drink either warm milk or chamomile tea to help her relax.
5. Take a hot bath with lavendar essential oil in the water.
6. Have her check out various herbal supplements that do help with sleep for example: Passion flower, St. Johns Wort, Peppermint, Valerian.
7. If all of these fail then I would also suggest she speak to her doctor it might be something else that is unaware of healthwise.

I'm having constant Nightmares?

For about a week and a half now, I've been having nightmares every single night. I used to sleep on the temperpedic mattress and i changed to a normal mattress about 2 weeks ago. About a week ago the nightmares started, and haven't stopped since. I don't eat before bed, and am not currently taking any medication. I wake up screaming sometimes or in a panic, and i'm almost always sweating, I can't seem to recall what frightened me in the dream. At first it was something about spirits or ghosts that scared me in the dream, now i cannot recall. My most recent experience [last night] I fell asleep muttering my boyfriends name and it felt as if I woke up moments later. I woke up screaming standing in the middle of my living room in front of my father. I wasn't aware of my screaming until i saw my father wake up in a panic in front of me. I remember my eyes flying open in fear and very quickly shooting out of bed and running in to the living room in like half a second, and then my father scared, jumping up surprised, because of my loud screaming. I just turned 15, and in order for me to get back to sleep without a nightmare, my dad had to sleep on the floor of my room. I have been waking up in the middle of the night alot for the past years, I wake up like 5 times each night, not counting the nightmare.

Why am I having constant nightmares?

The past two days I've had nightmares. I'm not on any medication. The first one I don't remember very well but I do remember that (and please don't laugh) there were these monsters shaped like chicken wings. I was being chased by them with a few friends and one of them was eaten by it. I woke uP after that. The second I had was today. My half sister, who I call my sister and is 28, (Im 14) was missing. They were searching for her body and they found it. She was on some type of ritual table, they authorities had said. She was burned to death and green and her head had been cut off. But she was somewhat alive, like she moved. She was able to recognize my mother (her stepmother) and my father, and then was able to recognize me. We had my half brother (who i call my brother) come in and she also recognized him. Her husband also came and she was standing and could recognize him. It was really creepy. Then, it went to the Victorian era, and it was no longer my sister or me. I was just watching at that point. It was my house though, which was built in the '60s. My "sister" was gettin better each day, but then as she got better, she got worse. She was having tantrums and yelling at everyone. Long story short, "I" was carrying her or leading her downstairs when she said she wanted to go down. She then had a tantrum and said she wanted to go up. "i" ran crying to my "mom" and "dad" who then led her upstairs but she came back down and slapped my "mother". My "father" grabbed her and took her upstairs and was yelling at her to "stop being ugly!" or something like that with ugly. She then came back downstairs and took a bite of an armchair, which then started to bleed and you could see bone and muscle. Then i woke up.
Wow if you read all that congratulations. I know it sounds crazy, but these really scared and confused me. Please help!!

Why am i having constant nightmares?

What the second answerer said is true. I was on Seroquel a few years ago and I had horrible nightmares/night terrors. They were so realistic and upsetting, that it carried over into my every day life also. These medications for depression and/or anxiety are actually intended to correct chemical imbalances in the brain, and sometimes what they are trying to "correct" might be one of the areas where your chemical balance is fine (for lack of a better way to describe it). You might have to try several different medications for short periods of time before your doctor finally prescribes one that works with the intended purpose for you, with no side effects. Contact your doctor ASAP and tell him/her the problems you are having. Staying on a medication that you are reacting so severely to can be dangerous. A lot of people think "side effects" are just physical symptoms, and that's not always the case. In fact, sometimes the mental/emotional/psychological side effects can be more hazardous to your health than the physical ones (think about it - it's your BRAIN reacting to a medication)! Please contact your doctor! Take care, and good luck to you!

Sleep Disorders: Constant Nightmares?

If you’re a teen, remember that the teen years are the absolute worst time of your life. I'm surprised any of us survive it. You are struggling with so much stress, pressures, changes... Your body and mind are trying to cope but ... it's hard, dealing with unpredictable hormones and roller coaster emotions.

The brain is a very complicated and delicate thing. It can get messed up and be unable to produce any or enough serotonin. This is called a chemical imbalance which is easily treated, very common and nothing to be ashamed of.

It can cause depression, anxiety, panic, obsession, self harm/self hatred, suicidal thoughts, eating disorders, sleeping problems, aggression/rage, anger, phobias, fears, helplessness/hopelessness, hypochondria, ADHD, paranoia, OCD, headaches, lack of interest in things, lack of motivation/ focus and much more.

Ask a dr. for anti-depressants. Sertraline is a good one; most people thrive on it and it has no side effects. With antidepressants, you will be much better, happier, calmer, confident, safer and feel normal. What a difference it makes!

Therapists are mostly a waste of time and money. They aren’t even allowed to prescribe appropriate meds to help you get better. Don’t stop taking the meds once you start to feel better. You need them, so stay on them.

But meds can do only so much. God is the ONLY one who knows what you’re thinking, how you’ve struggled and what you’re going thru. He loves you passionately and wants to be your BFF. He has a super-deluxe custom-made plan for your life that’s beyond anything you ever dreamed of. BUT He waits for us to ask. Invite Him into your heart; ask Him to take over your life and your problems.

Find a big, happy church, attend some groups and have fun. Talk with the pastor or youth pastor; he probably deals with this a lot and will have some good ideas. God loves you more than you can possibly imagine!! :)

and here's sleep ideas; do these in order:
- no pizza, curry or highly speced food for dinner
- no violence, horror or hair raising chases on TV
- soak in a hot bath with fragrant candles
- take a mild o.t.c. sleep aid like Melatonin (about $5 at Walmart)
- drink hot cocoa or milk
- sleep in a comfy bed - alone

What are the main causes of constant nightmares?

Fear and anxiety. Fear is evolution’s way of saying; “Don’t forget this! It may save your life someday”.Simple fear is easy to dispel: Make a second copy. Recall the fear inducing event, explain what made you afraid, and why. You can tell this to your pet, or a potted plant.Adrenaline driven fear is much more difficult. You must continue remembering the event, until the memory stops producing adrenaline.Google “NOVA” program, “Memory Hackers”. And try “Accelerated Resolution Therapy”.From age 18, I had a problem with rage. I was afraid of what I’d do. I didn’t know it, but my fear caused me 40 years of horrible nightmares. The moment, that I understood the source of the nightmares, they completely stopped. That was 6 years ago.Dr. Phil has a webpage, and one the subjects is nightmares.
