For three weeks he had been ill with what everyone thought was a sinus infection, but two doses of different antibiotics weren't clearing it up.His behavior changed dramatically on July 21 and my daughter rushed him to the emergency room. That night the doctors diagnosed his cancer and transferred him to the hospital’s Children’s Cancer Center. His diagnosis was Stage 4 Burkitt’s Lymphoma and Leukemia, and the doctors started chemotherapy immediately.Once the word was out that Mark was desperately ill, help came from everywhere in the form of angels from my daughter and son-in-law’s parish, Mark’s parish elementary school, family, friends, my parish, acquaintances, and even from people we never knew from across the country and overseas.But the stand-out angel was Mark’s best friend, Jaxon. Heartbroken and fearful for his friend, Jaxon took those feelings and put them into action. Using his savings, he printed t-shirts and wristbands and started selling them.It’s the wristband Jaxon made that is my favorite piece of jewelry. Pawn shops who buy stolen property?
my daughter's daughter let her boyfriend in when her mother was at the hospital with her sick child having surgery, and the boyfriend robbed my daughter taking every piece of Jewry she had. a police report was made, and immediately the police knew what pawn shop it was. but when my daughter went to get her items, the rings had already been melted down, all the diamonds taken out, and the rings were gone. we live in ohio and i was wondering what responsibility does the pawn shop have.or do they just get by and come out unscathed. according to something i read they had to wait a certain amount of days before an item could be sold or gotten rid of just in case it was stolen and to give the victim a chance to get their things back. the rings were extremely valuable many heirlooms which can never be replaced. the thief was seen on camera selling the items and he also stole a gun. will the pawn shop be held responsible and will they be held accountable for giving the victim her money or do they get out of it and not have to take responsibility. it would seem to me that they got rid of the items rather quickly almost as if they knew the items were stolen.
