Help With Epiduo Gel Tanning In A Tanning Bed Experience

Get rid of acne permenantly?

Hi Dextanie.

First if all din't let the acne get you down, 1000s get it and it will clear up.
Yes there is a laser treatment for acne however this is expensive and would still take months.

The suggested way to go is to ask your GP to refer you to a dermatologist, now if you are not already receiving any sort of treatment from your GP such as Acne Gel or Finacea and tablets such as Tetralysal then he/she may prescribe these to you before referring you to the Dermatologist, these are effective but still wouldn't clear the acne. you may think why are you wasting time using these treatments before seeing tge dermo but they will refuse to see you if you haven't tried and prescriptions.
This course could take approx 3-6months before you will be able to see the dermo although sometimes it could be less it depends on your GP.

After the initial prescription stage and if the acne isnt cleared enough then your GP will refer you to the dermo where they would prescribe to more powerfull drugs such as Trimethoprim tablets and a epiduo for external use.
These a very effective and should clear your skin by about 80-90% after a 6month treatment. If your acne is still bad then they may consider a drug called roaccutane but they are very reluctant to prescribe you this because if the servere side effects it has so you may want to read up about the drug before committing yourself to it. Reading the part where you said "i really want to die and never be seen again" i suggest you don't use roaccutane because they gave a serious side effect causing suicidal thoughts.

The one thing you have to remember is that this treatment is not very quick so you will need patients and stick to the treatment for the time suggested by your GP and dermatologist.

Also another topical agent to use with the drugs is an oil called tea tree oil which reduces redness considerably but these is very costly.

I hope this helps :)

Help with Epiduo gel!? Tanning in a tanning bed? Experience?

I went to my dermatologist and he gave me Epiduo to try and treat my acne. I'm applying it every other night before I go to bed. I also have 2 creams that I put on in the morning when I wake up everyday, they are Noritate 1% and Clindamycin 1%. I understand that you are supposed to avoid sunlight exposure when on this medication and i also understand that sunlight exposure is bad for your skin ect ect. But it's winter and I would really like to get a slight tan, I'm white but half Italian and i tan pretty easy, Will I burn if i just go like once for a short amount of time? It says to avoid it but does anybody have any experience ? What will happen if I go maybe once a week just to get a little tan and not be so white

Can i still go tanning while using epiduo?

Honestly, I would try and avoid it. I've been using epiduo for about a year now and my acne was pretty bad so I used a lot. I'm not sure about how much you're using but it can sometimes really dry up and irritate your skin. My derm. specifically advised me to avoid a lot of sunlight and tanning because it could burn the dry, extra layer of outer skin on your face & causing peeling and stuff =(. So I guess depending on how much you use, try not to go tanning. Just my advice =]

What should I avoid while using Epiduo?

Avoid getting Epiduo gel in your mouth, nose, or eyes, or on your lips. If it does get into any of these areas, rinse with water. Do not use Epiduo gel on sunburned, irritated, or broken skin. Also avoid using Epiduo gel on wounds or on areas of eczema. Wait until these conditions have healed before using this medication.

Avoid using skin products that contain salicylic acid, sulfur, or resorcinol while you are using Epiduo.

Avoid using skin products that can cause dryness or irritation, such as harsh soaps, shampoos, or skin cleansers, hair removers or waxes, or skin products with alcohol, spices, astringents, or lime.

Avoid exposure to sunlight, sunlamps, or tanning beds. Epiduo can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight, and a sunburn may result. Wear protective clothing and use sunscreen (SPF 15 or higher) when you are outdoors.

What are natural, easy and cheap ways to get rid of and prevent acne?

Here’s A Video I Made That May Help:Here Are Some Tips:Use an egg white mask. Egg whites can help tighten the skin's surface and reduce the size of pores. They also fight discoloration associated with acne.Wash your face using the steps from Part 1, except don't moisturize yet.Crack 3 eggs and separate the yolks from the whites.Add one tablespoon lemon juice if desired. This addition can help loosen blackheads and whiteheads.Whisk the egg whites until they become a foam.Apply this evenly to your face and leave on for 15 minutes.Rinse off with warm water and pat your face dry with a towel. Now moisturize your skin.Apply a yogurt mask to your face. Yogurt helps open up pores, exfoliate the skin, and absorb excess oil.Take one tablespoon of plain yogurt and apply it evenly across your face.Leave this on for 15 minutes, then rinse off with cool water. You can repeat this treatment daily.Experiment with honey. Although there is conflicting evidence, some consider honey an effective treatment for acne because of its antibacterial properties. Advocates consider Manuka honey, harvested from New Zealand, and raw honey, to be the two best forms of honey for acne treatment. Both are available in health food stores and on the internet. Before applying honey to your acne, dab a small amount around your jawline. Wait about 30 minutes to see if you have an adverse reaction. If so, do not apply honey to your acne. You may use honey in two ways. Either dab your pimples, or apply the honey to your whole face like a mask.Wash off the honey with cool water after 30 minutes, though you may leave it on longer if you want. You could also add about 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon to your honey. This adds to its antibacterial properties and can promote circulation in your face.
