Hamlet Essay Question Help?!?

Many readers feel that this play explores the contrast between political leaders or others who take action promptly and those who delay action for too long. Why does Hamlet delay acting against Claudius? Are his delays reasonable? What are the consequences of his inaction? Do you agree with Horatio that Hamlet is someone who "thinks too much"? Answer these questions in your essay, using examples from the text to support your opinon.

What are some ways to start an essay with a question?

The beginning of the essay is a crucial first step in this process. Your fist sentences should introduce the essay, focus it, and orient readers. In the beginning you should present your thesis and describe the problem you will be talking about. Your introduction should be catchy and present the main topic of your paper. Good introduction works as a spark to light reader’s interest to your paper.SOURCE: Beginning the Academic EssaySo to make the reader continue with your text after reading those first few sentences, you can start with a question or some unusual story. Also, some writers make provocative statements in their introductions. And often it works great. Anyway, try to find your own trick and use it in the most effective way. Here is a vivid example of an essay starting with a question:“What is the charm of necklaces? Why would anyone put something extra around their neck and then invest it with special significance? A necklace doesn't afford warmth in cold weather, like a scarf, or protection in combat, like chain mail; it only decorates. We might say, it borrows meaning from what it surrounds and sets off, the head with its supremely important material contents, and the face, that register of the soul…” (Emily R. Grosholz, "On Necklaces." Prairie Schooner, Summer 2007)A student who has chosen to start his essay with a rhetorical question should keep in mind that the good introduction will never contain a series of question put one by another like in the following example:“What is the meaning of life? Is it eating? No. Is it drinking? No. Is it drugs? No. Is it video games? No. Is it (censored)? No. The meaning of life is not to satisfy any of these mundane desires, but to (insert absolutely meaningless 'meaning' here)”.So you just need to pose one question related to your topic and then provide your answer. You can also invite your readers to suggest their own answers.

I need help on my essay question?

Cherry was drawn to the greasers because she saw them as more free than she was. They were something different that who she was. She was with Bob because it was what was expected of her. She was the popular girl, he was the popular boy, and that's just the way things were. She said she could fall in love with Dally because he was the ultimate bad boy. The greasers represented a completely different way of life than the one she felt trapped in.

Is it a good idea to start an essay with a question?

Personally I wouldn't suggest it. Usually I have noticed that when people begin their essays with a question, it appears disconnected. Introduction is important in an essay and such a beginning is barely interesting. Starting with a question is better suited for when you are expected to speak what you write. It draws the listener in but in case of a reader, it just makes him defensive and wary of the point the author is trying to make. You can instead start by narrating an instance, and then immediately ask a question. For example, If I'm writing an essay on freedom of speech, I can start by giving a contemporary example and then ask the readers if they are free.

Can someone please help me out with my biology essay question?

To fully answer this question with all of my knowledge I should tell you what mucus is for. Mucus is what helps you from getting sick it catches the bacteria until you blow your nose. So when he wakes up takes a shower his sinuses expand because of the heat, and steam of the shower so the mucus has more room so his nose dose not appear stuffy anymore, and as for the water I would say that it rehydrates him keeping his sinuses expanded. I do not know if that is 100 percent correct but that is what I think is correct I really hope this helps you.

ROMEO & JULIET ESSAY QUESTION-- WHO IS TO BLAME FOR THEIR DEATHS?? pleaseee help my final is tomorow!!?

People are talking about how Friar Lawerence gave Juliet posion. No, he gave her a sleeping potion that made it look like she was dead. Then Romeo was suppose to meet up with her. But Friar John, who was suppose to give Romeo the message about the fake death couldn't because of the plague. Why was Romeo gone? He was banished for killing Tybalt, Juliet's cousin. So Romeo, hearing that Juliet is dead, buys posion from The Apothecary. Then he goes to Juliet's tomb, kills Paris, then downs it. But Juliet, only being under a sleeping spell, wakes up to find him dead. So kills herself with a dagger. Only after trying to get some of the posion off of Romeo. Then the families come in, our agast, but united in their grief for their children. Which is why R&J is so morbidly beautiful.

As for who I blame for the deaths. Well, Romeo and Juliet had a big role in that. But I wouldn't say them. They're a product of their enviorment. Their parents' taught them how to behave. And their parents' parents' taught their parents'. So you could say it was the family feud.

You could say their youth. Youth makes people hasty and greedy. It makes you want what you want and you always want it now. Young people are fopish fools. And I can say that because I'm 15, myself. You should be able to indentify with the youth factor, too.

What about The Nurse? Juliet would have never preceded, couldn't have, if her chaperone had been around. But Angelica, The Nurse, wanted Juliet to have fun. She wanted to give Juliet what she wanted. She's the one that helped arrange the marriage, and encouraged it. But Friar Lawerence married them. But I think that they're not the real reason. Sure, they had some responsiblity in it. But Romeo and Juliet would have been married whether they were present or not. I'm sure they could have run away together. And if you consider it, that would have been a tragedy for their parents.

Or if you want to be completely original say The Devil. Which would be in fact, the road to all evils, and you round all the bases with that one. lol

There are just some ideas for you. Hope all goes well. :D

NEED HELP WITH MY HISTORY ESSAY QUESTION! 7th cent france!?

:Bubbly" is correct. I'm sure you must mean 17th century France under the "Sun King" Louis XIV (September 5, 1638 to September 1, 1715) who was the quintessential absolute monarch. Louis succeeded in subduing the power of the nobles in France through an endless parade of court etiquette functions at the Palace of Versailles.

Here's an excerpt from the Wiki site that is fairly good for this:

"Louis achieved immense control over the nobility in France by attaching much of the higher nobility to his orbit at his palace at Versailles, requiring them to spend the majority of the year under his close watch instead of in their own local communities and power-bases plotting rebellion and insurrection. It was only in this way were they able to gain pensions and privileges necessary to their rank.
He entertained his permanent visitors with extravagant parties and other distractions, which were significant factors contributing to Louis' power and control over his hitherto unruly nobility. He believed that his power would prevail only if he filled the high executive offices with commoners."

Louis was quoted as saying "I am the state."
Early in his long reign, with the help of his ministers, the finances of France were greatly improved. France became perhaps the richest nation as well as the most populated in Europe. Unfortunately, he eventually squandered the wealth in an unending series of unnecessary wars to gain small bits of territory on the periphery of France.
